Before Aiden could expect a response, a slap landed at the corner of his face, followed by another. It turned out that Richard had thought of what the man said as an insult.

Just as he was about to hit him again, Yolanda hurriedly stopped him on seeing that it would affect a reputation they had been trying to manage since he had anger management issues.

“It's okay, darling. How about I take care of this myself?”

Yolanda asked as she looked at Aiden in disgust. She couldn't believe that the same man that used to beg for crumbs had the audacity to talk to them that way when he was supposed to be begging on his knees for more crumbs they could afford even though they were already on the verge of going bankrupt.

Just as Yolanda was about to hit him also, he held her hand so tight that it was almost impossible for her to retrieve it. Then, she looked at him with a glare.

“What the hell do you think you are doing? You better let me go this instant!” She screamed.

“I am only doing you and your fiancé a favour but since you do not deserve it, I will find another place to invest in!”

Only then did everyone burst out laughing. With his appearance, he was not even fit to be in the store in the first place.

However, the owner of the store was kind enough to let commoners come in to glance at several products wishing they could afford it.

“You can't even afford a product!”

“Really? Let's see about that” Aiden said and checked out a series of products in the store and checked out the latest iPhone 17 he had always admired.

At this moment, everyone looked at each other with scorn laced on their faces.

Just as he was about to walk to the store, one of the attendants snatched the product from him in irritation.

“How dare you touch our exclusive product?” She asked. Of course she had been seeing everything that was going on upstairs and had decided to intervene as the head attendant she was.

Then, she looked at Richard Swift and lowered her head.

“I'm really sorry for what you are going through at the moment, sir. It is normal for people to go through that. However, if there's anything you would like to get here, I could assign one of my attendants to do that for you” The woman said.

Then, Yolanda smiled. Even though her lover was at the verge of going bankrupt, she was definitely sure that he still had something left in his account.

After all, she wanted to marry him to get to the top of wealth also.

Before Richard could give him a response having been stressed out from the company's issues, he shook his head.

What he needed at the moment was a sincere investor and if he could not get that before the end of the week, there would be problems since a lot of investors were already pulling out.

“Of course, Kiera.” Yolanda told the attendant while she nodded with a smile.

“Miss Shaw? Please attend to Miss Yolanda!”

“Oh no! That's not necessary. As a matter of fact, we are about to leave!” Richard hurriedly said.

He knew who his lover was. She could pick up a lot of things and eventually get him financially down.

It turned out that she had told him she wanted to buy a phone she had always admired online.

However, he'd warned her sternly that he was not getting anything else for her. Since she was making a fuss about it, he had to succumb. Now, he had nothing.

“What? Baby…” she whined.

Aiden could see that Yolanda was about to put him in a tight position. However, he minded his business as he picked up another version of the product he initially chose, not wanting to cause another scene.

“And I asked you not to pick anything else!”

“Why can't I do that? Do you treat people the way they are dressed? If that's the case, you definitely don't know what you are doing! Now, get the hell out of my way!”

Aiden said and walked up to the counter.

“Let me have your details so I can wire the payment!” Aiden replied sternly.

However, the young lady on the counter stared at him for a while. She could see that there was something else about him. Still, she didn't want to pass her boundary since she just started working at the store.

“Are you sure you can afford it? I wouldn't want you to cause another scene because this product has always been purchased by our top customers like Mr Richard and his lover”

“Well, I am also here to purchase one. Is that bad?” Aiden asked while the young lady shook her head.

Then, she leaned towards him.

“I am trying to look down on you. I want to help you. In fact, if you want to purchase the phone. I can help you waive it by making you pay in installments pending the time you will be done…”

“No, thanks”

“I…”

“I promise you that I am fine” Reed said again. He could understand the genuine lady's fears and he saw that she was only concerned about him.

Then, she nodded her head and pointed at the payment section.

Immediately, there was a beep, followed by another.

Then, the screen in front of her beeped, “Transaction successful!”

At once, she gasped as her eyes widened in shock.

This was the first time that something like that would happen in their store.

“Is everything okay, Isabel?” The head assistant asked in shock, about to place a call across one of the security attendants.

“Ma'am….” She trailed off, unable to contain her bewilderment. It turned out that the phone was the most expensive in their store and no one had ever bought it even though it was always advertised to the wealthy and for those that bought it only got

it in installments.

“Ma'am, we just received a whooping amount of money from Mr Aiden …”
