“Mr Aiden? Who the hell is that?” The head assistant asked in shock, completely ignoring Aiden who stood right in front of the counter.
“Ma'am….”
To her, the name did not sound familiar. After all, she knew the names of every VIP in their shops. Who the hell is Aiden?
“Here is the receipt. He paid for it!’
The woman glanced at Aiden and then walked towards the counter, all attention darted towards them. No one wanted to believe that the alert came from someone like Aiden.
“Can I have my phone now?” Aiden finally asked after a long while of silence. Only then did everyone realize that the same man they had looked down actually had money!
Yolanda's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe that the same man that used to beg for crumbs was loaded and she still treated him poorly. What if he would actually be the reason for her fiancé’s business to bounce back?
“I am sure he's the assistant of some rich men out there while he pretends to be the owner of the account!” Yolanda hurriedly said, hiding her embarrassment after everything she had said to him.
Then, Aiden laughed shortly.
“Yolanda or should I say Carolina? You of all people know my name. Why should I pretend to be the boss when I am the boss of myself?”
“Carolina?” Richard asked, wondering where he heard the name.
It turned out that a few months into their relationship, he heard someone call her by that name stating that she was the daughter of a poor woman but Yolanda hurriedly dismissed it, claiming that she wasn't the one.
Now, everything clicked. Yolanda had been nothing but a fraud all these while.
“Oh, baby. You don't have to mind him….”
Then, he remembered something else. She used to be associated with one of his business enemies who had always declared her wanted but because she had a mini plastic surgery, the enemy was not able to detect as soon as possible.
When it clicked, Richard became so defensive of her. The dots were starting to connect.
When it seemed as though her cover was about to be blown throwing what seemed perfect to a facade, she forced a smile.
“Baby, we should leave now. I don't want to stay here anymore”
“Hold on, who the hell are you? Apart from the fact that I am trying to bounce back, why do I feel like you are a part of my problems?”
Feigning ignorance, she shook her head.
“You've known me for years, Richard. In fact, we should settle everything once we get home.” She hurriedly said, feeling so embarrassed since all attention was already on her.
However, the moment she held his hands, he jerked it off.
Richard remembered there used to be certain places he had to go for seminars because his associates wanted those places. However, she would suddenly feel so uncomfortable and made him convince a lot of his partners that he didn't want to be there at all.
All of these were because she didn't want her cover to be blown? Just who the hell was this woman?
“Settle what once we get home? What the hell are you talking about?” He asked.
Only then did she begin to panic. She knew Richard could cause more problems the moment his anger gets the best of him.
That moment, she wished that she had listened to him when he talked about leaving. Now, this poor stricken i***t had put her in trouble!
“Listen, I am still Yolanda.”
“Carolina! And you are a fake. I am breaking up with you. After all, you haven't had anything to contribute to my success!”
He said and glanced at Aiden. Now, he looked down on someone that could have probably helped him.
“Mr Aiden… can you give us another chance to talk? I mean, a more private place that…”
“Richard, I am quite busy as it is.” Aiden said and turned to leave. Knowing fully well the trouble it would cause him the moment he steps his foot into his father's mansion for crumbling his business, he knew he had to do something.
“I will offer you 70% of the profit share maximized by the company if you listen to me and anything you want me to do for you is what I will gladly do, sir!”
However, Aiden wrote down his contact on a piece of paper.
“You can find me when I'm free.”
With that, he left the store.
A few minutes later, there was sudden public news stating that the same company he had offered to help which Richard managed was letting out one of their major agricultural companies that produced cocoa products.
Aiden suddenly realized that they probably wanted to use the money to ditch every debt they owed. However, it still wasn't enough for what the company owed.
At once, he realized how good this would be for him. If he could buy the company and still offered Richard an assistance, he had definitely invested a part of his money.
This was a company he had always dreamed of working for but because he had no connections, it just wasn't possible for him.

“I can't believe we're getting laid off. After everything that we've been through”
A worker grumbled the moment Aiden walked into Sweets Agricultural company that was located in the heart of the bustling city.
The moment he entered the company, everything seemed to be in chaos. At a corner, some workers couldn't help but release tears because this company provided their daily needs.
Not knowing what to do next, he walked towards one of the workers who didn't shed a tear.
“Hello, may I see the manager of this company?” He asked politely. However, the man mistook him as one of the people who trooped in daily to request for manual labour. Instead, he looked at him in irritation.
“Did you not hear that we are getting fired? And you're still here to look for a job?”
He asked him rather harshly.
“What? No! I am here for something else. Is there perhaps someone I can call so…”
“Young man, do not let me insult you. I am going through a lot and the least I want is for a poor man to be a burden!”
“Have you all finished packing? We should leave the premises now!”
At that moment, a SUV zoomed in while everyone looked in contempt. Of course, they knew it was Richard Swift, their CEO. The same man who told them to keep working while he promised them fat bonuses and yet, they received nothing.
Safe to say that their workers knew that something like this would definitely happen but because no one was ready to start looking for a job, they could only hope for a better tomorrow.
However, everything was already dashed.
“Where's everyone going? I want you all to know that we will fix this and…”
Instantly, he stopped talking and stared at the man who still looked confused.
Fate definitely brought us together!
Richard thought. Finally, his business enemies who thought they would have the company would back off.
“Hello, sir. I didn't expect to see you here!”
The man rushed forward, lowering his head in order not to offend the man. Immediately, everyone looked at him in shock.
“Who is he?”
“He doesn'
t look familiar to me”
“What if he's the new boss?”
“I hope we haven't offended someone greater than our former boss?”
