“Well, I am here. I'd like to buy this company… Name your price” Aiden said almost immediately as he stared at the building.
For a business like this, he had a lot of renovations to do. After all, this would be his very first company he would acquire with his money.
“Of course, sir. I have the paperwork collected from my lawyer already. It's been going for ten million dollars since…”
“Your account details?” Aiden requested swiftly as he brought out his new phone, wanting to make a transfer. He knew how rich people could be.
They could easily change their mind and switch with another person who was willing to buy the company at a higher price. Yet, he didn't want that to happen as Richard Swift immediately called out his account details, hoping that once he invested in another company, he would definitely come back for his company with a bigger lawsuit.
For now, Aiden was the only man who could save them.
‘You can enjoy it while it lasts. I promise you that I'll be back’. He thought with a cold smile as he received the alert and had the paper work signed.
“Hello everyone, I am no longer the CEO Sweets Agricultural company. The new CEO can now decide whether to lay off all workers or…”
Everyone was stunned to see who the CEO was. He looked so ordinary and didn't seem like someone who could control them.
However, Aiden who once worked as a secretary and knew how best to run a company cleared his throat.
“Who is the head branch of this company?”
He asked. Immediately, a young lady stepped forward.
{Danger. Fire her}
However, Aiden looked at the woman who had such an innocent smile. Why did the system disapprove of her? Had she perhaps done something bad?
“You're fired!” He immediately said, not wanting to cause problems between him and the system. Immediately, everyone looked at each other in shock.
Maria Davies was definitely one of the company's hardworking staff. Hence, she was promoted earlier than her other colleagues who were her seniors.
Everyone loved her because even though she was the branch manager, she was fair enough to work things out between employees and now, their new owner has fired her?
They thought in displeasure.
“What?” The woman said in shock. If she was fired, there would be a problem. How on earth does she want to report to the previous chairman who tipped her for a job well done?
It turned out that long before Richard became the CEO, his father was and since the man didn't trust his son, she became the old chairman's toy, having her way with anything she wanted thereby buying her way as the manager when she didn't deserve it but no one saw this.
When the old chairman saw that his company was going bankrupt and Richard didn't want to sell it off to the people he wanted, he swiftly called his toy, Maria, sending huge money to plant her as a spy so that he could gain access to the company through a loophole.
Now, the same money she had used to buy the latest SUV while everyone whispered among themselves how she got the money was on the verge of being sold. She wouldn't be able to afford her affluent lifestyle anymore.
No, she can't go back to the slums to live with her poor parents who could barely afford to eat in a day.
Immediately, the young lady went on her knees hoping that the man would understand her and pardon her. After all, the man definitely had nothing on her.
“Please don't fire me. I can do anything you want me to so far I keep my position. As a matter of fact, I can help with restructuring, research and a lot of things needed to keep the company running”
As long as it seemed tempting to Aiden, he couldn't disobey the system or he risked losing everything he was already enjoying on a platter of gold.
Immediately, he snapped his fingers and the guards who were already on standby on knowing that their new boss was Aiden walked towards him and lowered their heads.
“Usher this woman out of my company!”
He stated while the woman's eyes widened in shock.
“What? Mr….” She stopped abruptly when she didn't know his name. However, she kept screaming till she was dragged out of the gates.
“Lead me to the conference room. I need to have a meeting with you all”
Cold chill ran down the spine of all the workers causing a shiver. They definitely hated him since he fired the manager who had done nothing wrong.
Immediately, they got to the conference room, the atmosphere became tense and thick. They were definitely sure that Aiden was the weapon fashioned against them.
“Now, my name is Aiden Jones and as you all know, I am the new CEO of Sweets Agricultural Company and I hope we all will work together in a safe and secure environment.” He said curtly while they all nodded their heads.
“I'll be laying off the bad staff and the good ones can stay. Now, introduce yourself starting from you!” He said and pointed at one of the forty workers present in the meeting.
The assistant manager, Ann, already brought the list of workers in the company at this stage.
“Delinda Jones….”
“Fired!”
What? Everyone thought in an uproar. Delinda shivered on the spot as she looked at the new boss in shock. Has the scandal she tried to hint out with Maria been received by him?
It turned out that the previous CEO had once received an anonymous email with evidence that she lobbied a certain amount of money and claimed the money got missing since she was in charge of auditing. However, she wasn't sure if that was why she was fired.

leagues who were gnashing their teeth because they weren't paid their salaries?”
