Chapter 8

Xavier's POV

Scarlet began to sway and collapsed into my arms.

"Scarlet!" She looked pale.

I gently layed her on the sofa and held her hand in mine.

"Wake up baby please, come one Ria wake up!" I begged while holding her hand.

"I'll call the Dr. Ridding" Mum said while running to the kitchen to call him.

These past few days I've noticed Scarlet looking pale and hardly eats. She always seems to be sleepy, obvious of lack of sleep. Is she sick? Why didn't she tell me she was sick?

Mum came back and told us the doctor would be here in 5 mins. Me, being me, I decided to see if she was in pain or had a fever.

"Jace you have to wait for the doctor" Ignoring mums comment I felt her forehead to see if she had a fever, but she didn't. I stood up next to her and bent down to lift her shirt and I was surprised to see a bump on her stomach. Only I could see it because my body and back was blocking my parents view of her. What the hell is this bump?!

Exactly 5 minutes later the doctor came into the living room and greeted dad before making his way towards Scarlet.

"Son your going to have to move so I can look at her" - Doctor Ridding

"She doesn't have a fever but she has this bump on her stomach, please tell me shes ok" He bent down and started inspecting her, he got her basic vitals, hen he went to lift her shirt slightly and his eyes widened.

"Whats wrong with her?"

"Don't worry son she's fine, she just fainted because of stress and lack of food also she's abit dehydrated. I suggest you tell her to keep her stress level down and intake alot of food and water and remind her to take her meds, she needs them considering that she fainted to day isn't good for her condition" He explained. Condition? What condition?

"What do you mean condition?"

"She's pregnant. Looking at her state she would roughly be 2-3 month pregnant" He gave me a piece of paper with some vitamins written down on them and stood up and said his goodbyes before leaving.

PREGNANT?

Who the f**k would dare touch her when we have been in a relationship for weeks. Who's the father?!

"Not only did you bring an imposter into my home but you also bought a s**t" Father shouted making my blood boil at what he called Scarlet. Although I remained quiet.

"She has you fooled Xavier. No daughter of Dylan would be this.... This scandalous, she wouldn't be a s**t getting pregnant and its not even yours. I called Dylan this morning and a girl picked you know what she said? This is Crystal Grey daughter of Dylan Grey. So before you even came I already set a date with her for your marriage. Proving that this girl here is so desperate to get you that she pretended to be an elite." - Father

"I don't care who you believe but I will not marry Crystal for she's not the real daughter of the GCC and she's not the women I love. The women I love is right here. Scarlet is the women I love. You wanna know why you can't find anything about the Grey's daughter or my girlfriend? Is because she's smarter then all our heads in this room combined.

She took a low position in my company so she wouldn't attract attention to herself, scared that she'd get caught and be reported to the Greys. She stayed at a low profile. I didn't know her real identity, but I fell in-love with her even before know who she really was. So don't tell me she's desperate in pretending to be the daughter of the top elite just to get my attention because father, she is the top elite." I said and picked Scarlet up, ignoring my fathers glares and walked out to my car, setting her down in the passenger seat I looked behind me to see my parents walking towards me.

Ignoring them I ran to the drivers seat and began making our way home as quickly but carefully as possible

25 minutes of speed driving I reached my house house, quickly parking the car and taking Scarlet out, I rushed upstairs and layed her in my bedroom.

How have i not noticed Scarlet was pregnant? Doctor Ridding said she's only 2-3 months along. 2-3 months?

WAIT!

I had s*x with Scarlet 3 months ago, that means.......

Oh s**t!

The baby's mine.

I was pulled out my thoughts when Scarlet's eyes fluttered open.

"Xavier?"

I sat on the side of the bed and held her hand.

"How you feeling?" You can hear the worriedness in my voice.

"I'm fine just a little dizzy" she sat up rubbing her temple maybe to reduce the dizziness she feels.

"You fainted because you were stressing to much and not eating and drinking enough. Why haven't you been looking after yourself Scarlet? I was so worried about you"

"I'm fine Xavier you don't have to tell me how to look after my self its not like I don't want to eat, its just that I can't really keep anything down." She said just above a whisper, if I was standing up I wouldn't be able to hear her.

"Its because of the baby isn't it" I questioned causing her to stiffen. GOTTCHA!

"W-what are y-y-you talking about?" she stutters.

"I know about the baby Scarlet, when you fainted my mother called the family doctor because we didn't know what was wrong with you. He revealed that you were 2-3 months pregnant. Who's the father Scarlet and don't you dare lie to me" I demanded knowing that she wasn't a very good lier.

I needed to know if it was mine or not. I needed to know who to kill because they touched what was mine.

"I'm sorry Xavier, I didn't want you to find out like this. I was going to tell you but all this drama had to happen. I wanted to see if you really loved me for me and not for the baby or for who I really am. I'm sorry Xavier I really am" I was shocked at her confession.

After saying that she was now full on sobbing and had her head in her hands.

I wanted to be angry with her, I wanted to shout at her but couldn't find my voice to do so. Seeing her like this made me think what she went and still going through. It wasn't pretty seeing her sick and pale all the time at work, she must have been enduring it. To top that off all the drama that has happened in the last few weeks. The girl in front of me was stronger then I had imagined her to be. Physically and mentally strong.

I did the only thing I could think of at that time. I hugged her.

"Shh, don't get worked up Ari its not good for the baby"

She lifted her head and staired at me with wide eyes.

"Your not mad at me? Your not angry I kept our baby a secret from you?" She questioned looking puzzled to why I wasn't going all Hulk on her.

"No Ari I'm sure you had your reasons to why you didn't tell me but I'm thankful that you sort of told me now. You see Ari, I want this baby and I want you. I want our child to grow up with two parents by his or her side. I love you Ari not because I was arranged to marry you or because your were the heir to GGC, no. I fell in love with you when I met you at that bar and couldn't stop thinking about you, heck I even got people to look for you but to my disappointment nothing came up. Ari I loved you even before I knew the real you. I love you Ari and I will forever love you and our child" I confessed to her and poured my heart out to her.

She staired at me with wide eyes and didn't move, she froze and her reaction scared me abit. But was surprised when a smile made its way to her lips and she hugged me and kissed my lips quickly.

"I love you to Jace" She said using the name mother uses for me. I love it how she calls me that and I will make it a point she calls me that from now on.

Noone knows my full name they only know me as Xavier Royce, but mother calls me Jace because she wants to remind me of my name hahah.

I was so happy with how this revelation turned out and she made me the happiest man alive by giving me a child. I will forever love this girl.
