The First Night

" How long will it take us to get to Blood Moon?" I asked, a little scared now that it was just me and the two of them on our way. Gio is driving, me and Skyler are in the back. He was typing on his laptop. " We will be there in about 6.5 hours, why do you need to stop?" Gio answered from the front. Not the one I wanted to answer myself, but ok. "No I am fine, just never been outside my pack." Gio nods and goes back to driving. I didn't get it when we were in my pack. He claimed me and always wanted to touch me. Now he wanted to even look at me.

We drove for about 3 hours before Gio pulled into a hotel parking lot. I looked at Skyler, he looked like he was linking to someone, so I got out and followed Gio into the lobby." Welcome sir, how can I help you and your loving lady?" the old man behind the desk. " We need two rooms please." Gio said. The man looked at us, shook his head and checked us in. When we walked back out to the car, Skyler was leaning up against it. "So how are we doing the sleeping arrangement?" I asked, getting a little giggle from Gio and a weird look from Skyler. " You will have a room and we will be in the other one. We will sleep for about 6 hours, then we will get going again." Skyler says as he walks away.

As Gio and myself went to get the bags, Skyler was already in the room. " What's up with him?" asked.. What's not understanding the changed mood. "He is trying to figure out what to do next?" He He says, throwing his arm over my shoulder "So until then you are stuck with me." he says winking at me as we made it to the top of the stairs. We heard a deep growl, " Get off of her and get in the room!" Skyler yells at Gio.

"Hey don't yell at him! He was just being nice to me since my mate had not said two words to me." I yelled back at him, not knowing where this was coming from. Normally I am quiet and shy, but him yelling at Gio for no reason made me mad. " Carly didn't worry about me, I should not have pushed the limits." Gio whispered to me, "No, it's not right you were just being nice and friendly, he didn't have to yell." I replied with a smile which made Skyler even more mad.

"Don't talk back!" Skyler told me. I could see his eyes change between his and his wolf's. "Whatever!" I said as I rolled my eyes at him, walking by him. Skyler reaches for my hand. I side step out of his reach. We lock eyes with each other. He looks like he wants to say something but changes his mind. Shaking my head, I walked on my head. Looking at him one more time, I shut the door a little harder than I meant to. " What is his deal? He was all about us in our pack and now it's like he doesn't even want us. Want some good news?"Tessa asked me.

"Well, of course I do." " Our mate is f*****g HOT!!!" Oh my my wolf is on our level.

Skyler's POV

On the way to my pack I could feel her looking over at me. I just keep working, not knowing what to say or do. "Man, talk to her, she is your mate. If you don't all talk, this is going to be the longest ride of my life." Gio links me as he pulls in and gets out of the hotel we are staying at for the night. "Talk to her about what? I never thought about what I would do once we found my mate. All I wanted was to find her so I could become Alpha.

Never thought about anything else."I looked back. By the time I was done, Carly had gotten out and gone in with Gio. So I went out and waited for them to come back from checking in." Dud You better be nice to her! I don't want to lose MY Mate." Damon says, though the link. " She is our mate and I am being nice." I say, closing the link in time to see them walk out. They look like a happy couple which gets under my skin. Gio can make friends on the wall, but seeing him being so friendly, it rubs me differently. "So I got two rooms."Gio said, before he could say anything to Carly about us sharing a room, I cut him off.

"Carly, you will have one room, me and Gio will share the other." I stated and walked up the stairs, not giving them time to speak. " What the HELL!!!!! I don't want to share a room with Gio. I want to share a room with Mate!" Damon yells at me. Sometimes it sucks sharing a body and mind with him.

" I don't know if we can handle sharing a room with her and not touching her." was my answer to him. "Well I can!" he said, closing the link. OK, maybe I was wrong, maybe Damon was right. We should spend time with our mates. I walked out of the room to see them coming up the stairs with Gio's arm wrapped around her shoulders. Damon growls at the sight of "Get off her and get in the room!" He yells at Gio.

Carly defends him, which only further pisses Damon off. I can hear Gio telling her not to worry about him and she was not having it. Saying that Gio was just being nice, unlike me, that's when Damon pushes me even further back in my mind. And yelled at Carly "Don't, back talk to me!" with his alpha tone, "Damon, don't talk to her that way, she is our mate." I said to him.

"Whatever!" She says, rolling her eyes, which makes Damon even more pissed. When she walks by us, I make him reach out to her but she pulls away. I knew then that he had made her upset. She looks at me one more time then closes the door hard. I made Damon give me back control. I started towards her door to stop and turned to my room, seeing that Gio had already gone in. When I walked in, he was on the bed.

"Gio, where is the other bed?" I asked, seeing only one bed. "Man, I have got two rooms with one bed in each. I didn't know you were not going to share a room with your mate. I mean if I had a choice between sleeping in here with you or her, sorry dud I, pick the hot number on the other side of that door." He says, pointing at the door behind me. "Hey man, what the hell was all that about out there? You know I would never do that to you? She is my Luna and my best friend's mate." He says, looking hurt that I thought so little of him.

" Giovanni, Man, I am sorry. I know that you would never do that to me. I just know that my mother walked out on me and left me alone with that man. I don't know how to love her the way she wants." I said to him and he was just smiling at me. Here I am talking to my best friend, telling him what my deal is and he is smiling. "You know if you talked to me about that I could have told you that. I am just as scared. Scared that you will reject me the moment that your dad hands you the Alpha title. Or you will hand me over to your father when we get there.

I have heard all the story about your pack, but I wanted to give us a chance. I have waited all my life to find my mate, to find that one that would love me for me." Carly says from the doorway. I turned and looked at her, all that she said to me with tears falling from her eyes. "Great you big jerk, we hurt our mate and made her cry. Go to her or I am kicking your ass." Damon says. I walked to her, pulling her in, letting her cry on my chest. "Pick her up, take her to y'all's room." Gio sat me as he sat my bag in the room. I did just what he said, picking her up, taking her into the room.

"Carly, where is your bag?" I asked, sitting with her on the bed. " I didn't grab mine. I was bringing you your bag, then I was going to go back and get mine." She says, though her little hickey ups from crying. She was bringing me my bags before she got hers. Here I was acting like an ass and she was thinking of me. "Why would you do that Carly?" She just looks down and asked, said if I did not have a wolf hearing,

I would not have heard the next part that broke my heart even more than it is right now. " You had left your other bag in the car and I wanted you to have everything you need to get a good night's sleep. I just want to do my job and be a good mate to you. So you will see I can be what you need, not only in a Luna, but maybe one day the woman you love." She says with tears streaming down her face. "Baby, that is not your job to carry my bag or anyone else's bags. As for what you said about me rejecting you when I got my title or heading you over to my father, that's the last thing I would ever do. You are going to make a wonderful Luna and I promise that I will do better. I was a jerk before and for that I am sorry." I said to her while holding her hand and loved the little sparks going between us.

" Alpha Skyler, I can sleep on the floor and you can go to bed so that you and Gio both have a bed." She says to me with her head bowed down to me, showing me her neck. " Carly Ann, look at me. You never call me Alpha again. You are my mate my luna that makes you my equal. Next thing, you are not sleeping on the floor, you are not a dog or a slave. Why would you even say that?" I asked her with a little anger in my voice.

"That's where the Luna sleeps, it is at the foot of the bed of the alpha. Where would you like me to sleep?" Was she really asking me this? Is this how Alpha Holland treated his luna? "You are to sleep in my bed with me from now on, do you understand? I also want to know who told you this?" I need to know who was telling my mate that crap. "Yes sir I understand. Carlos and Rob said that is how it is done with all women."

Damon is pacing in my mind was mad that they were going to treat our mate this way. "What is she doing now?" Damon asked, making me look over at her. There she was on her knees naked as a jay bird. " Baby what are you doing?" " My mother said, that every night I have to make sure my mate is taken care of in bed so he doesn't look for another." What the hell is wrong with this pack. "Carly please put my shirt and your panties back on.

Then come sit here." I said, "Man, I thought our dad was f****d up. At least he didn't teach the women of our pack this shit." Damon said, and I had to agree. I felt the bed dip just a little. Looking at her. I knew she was all I ever wanted. "Did you not like what you saw?" she asked shyly, playing with the hem of my shirt. Man, I loved the smell of me on her. "Carly baby I loved what I saw. Don't believe me feel." Taking her hand and putting on my manhood. She pulled her hand away and turned beat red. "Carly, have you ever been with someone?" I asked, hoping she would say no.

She shook her head no, that made me smile. "I was taught to save that for my mate," she said, looking at me from under her lashes. " I thank you for that, but I am not going to make love to you until you are ready and we have more time together. Now come here so we can sleep. We only have three hours until we have to be on the road again." I pulled my little mate to me. It was lying down by her. It was not long before she was asleep and I drifted off looking at her. "Thank you moon goddess for her. Now make Skyler not mess it up." was the last thing I heard before the darkness took over.
