Chapter 5

The next day, I started training again. About 3 hours in my Alpha mind linked me to come to his office.

“Liv, can you please come to my office?”

“Sure, Alpha…..um I am in my training outfit. Can I run home and change?”

“No need come as you are. It will only take a few minutes.”

“On my way.”

Lucas’s POV

When my Father said we were going to the Night Walker Pack I almost spit out my breakfast. A part of me wanted to see my mate again and get this rejection over with, but another part of me just wanted to see her. My wolf Loki has been going crazy since we found her.

The ride here felt like it took forever. There was a good chance I wouldn’t see her again, but this was fate giving me a second chance to end things with my mate so I could be with Yara. I know I should be with my mate, but my heart wants Yara. I even bought her an engagement ring a month ago. I was just waiting for the right time.

Here I was sitting in Alpha Edwards' office with his son Wyatt. The wolf that was all over my mate at the party. Wait! Why am I getting jealous? I don’t care, he can have her. My Dad and Alpha Edwards are talking about some warrior that would create the training plan for me, Wyatt and another soon to be Alpha that wasn’t here.

All of a sudden, Loki started going crazy and I could smell mate. She smelled amazing, like lavender and vanilla.

She had on the shortest black shorts and a black sports bra. Her hair was pulled up and the sweat made her body glisten. What an amazing body.

I knew she could smell me and I just wanted her to turn and look at me, but she didn’t, she walked right to her Alpha as if I wasn’t even in the room.

Liv’s POV

As soon as I entered the room, I could smell Lucas, but it didn’t matter, I wasn’t about to play some game with him.

“There she is! My best warrior.” Alpha Edward said, standing to greet me.

I nodded my head. “Alpha Edward.”

“Liv, this is Alpha Mason of the Night Walker Pack and his son Lucas.”

I looked right at Alpha Mason and smiled. “Alpha.”

I turned to my left and smiled at Wyatt. “So Liv will be leaving for Elite Training in two days and I think she would be perfect to put together a training regiment for our soon-to-be alpha’s.”

“Elite Training, that is impressive. How old are you Liv?” Alpha Mason asked, looking me up and down.

“18 Alpha.”

“Have you found your mate?”

“Um, yes sir, but he has rejected me.”

“Well, he is a fool for sure.”

I gave him a weak smile. I really wanted to yell that fool is your son. Great job on that one Alpha. But I held it in.

“Liv, what do you think? Can you put something together for me before you leave?” Wyatt asked, putting his arm around my waist and pulling me to his chest.

“Anything for you, Wyatt.”

“Great its settled Liv take the rest of training off and get to the regiment. Let me know when it is completed.” Alpha Edward said, smiling at me and Wyatt.

I nodded and turned to Wyatt and smiled before leaving the room. Not once looking at Lucas.

I headed right to the study on the main floor and got to work. An hour later, I was done and making my way back to Alpha’s office.

I reached to knock on the door and it flew open.

“Hey babe.”

“Hi Wyatt. Is your dad still here?”

“Yeah, wait, are you already done?”

“Yes, well, I hope he approves. Um, are you leaving?”

“Yeah, I was about to show Lucas around here. Do you want to come?”

“No thank you. I am just going to check with the Alpha.”

“How about later? Can I see you?”

“mmmm maybe.” I said, licking my bottom lips and pushing past Wyatt and almost slamming into Lucas, but I was fast on my feet and shifted to the side before we touched.

I didn’t even look up at him. I walked up to Alpha Edward and Alpha Mason. I handed my work to Alpha Edward and Alpha Mason. After a few minutes, Alpha Mason started to smile.

“This is brilliant, Liv. You are lucky to have her Alpha Edward.”

“I told you she was amazing.”

“Thank you both. Was there anything else I could do for you, Alpha Edward?”

“No Liv, that is all, enjoy the rest of the day.”

I turned and hurried out of the Pack house and headed home. Hoping my Mother wasn’t too busy with the twins to spend some time with me.
