Chapter 10 Time to Race

Ashleigh's POV

God, that was the sexiest thing I have ever been a part of and we barely even touched. How did he get me so turned on without even really touching me... That's talent right there... I'm so turned on right now. I need to get calmed down before I go back out there.

Those sparks work wonders on my body and he says it happens only wherever we touch, so that sounds pretty awesome for... everywhere.

The way he talks about family and me as his mate, makes me feel so good... it's strange to me. I never knew I could ever feel like this.

This whole talk with him has my mind reeling. Now I want to know if he was serious or not about the werewolf thing... The way his eyes changed, the Mate subject, the smell subject, the 'you have to see it to believe it' comment, asking me to not be scared or judge him, and even the sparks, those are not subjects I hear normally when it comes to dating.. or at least that I have heard. I wonder if he is. Am I ok with that?? He is so much nicer than any other guy I have ever met and treats us better as well, so who am I to judge? That's crazy, right? Then why do I feel ok with it?

Just that idea alone makes me feel so exhilarated. I know I should be scared for Aurora, but I honestly trust Dominic and he treats her like the princess I imagine her to be. I love it and if this is just the beginning of what kind of a life we could have with him, then I can't wait for the rest of it. I don't know what it is about him, it's just something special. I feel it deep in my heart and in my mind... I feel it in every inch of my body and I think that's why I'm so scared. It is because I have never felt like this before in my whole life.

I take a deep breath, letting it in, then out, trying to calm myself down. I need to stop thinking about him because every time I do, I get turned on. I do this a couple more times, taking deep breaths, feeling a little calmed down than before. So that is better than nothing.

I walked out to the front room and I instantaneously locked eyes with Dominic. His eyes linger on my frame before he bites his lip and winks at me. This makes me blush and get turned on again... dammit, after I just calmed down... I can't control my body when it comes to him and I hate it.

I go straight to the kitchen because I need to do something else to get my mind off of him and hopefully calm down that way with the power of distraction. I grab all the items to make a brunch for all of us. This brunch consists of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns.

I feel eyes on me almost the whole time that I'm cooking and I try to ignore it, but I just can't. I keep looking up and locking eyes instantly with him every time. Man, he looks so good.

How did I get so lucky to have a Greek God-looking man wanting me?? Of course, he has to have an amazing personality as well. I get so turned on by how good he is with my little girl, being such a great fatherly figure to her, and showing her how a man should be around her. He will be such a great dad when he has kids and that idea is so sexy to me. A man who steps up for us and others when needed, because he thinks we are worth every last bit of effort put in, is an amazing type of person. So f*#king sexy.

I turn around whisking the eggs, trying to take my mind off him, when I hear whispered into my ear, "You better stop your dirty thoughts over here little lady, because that's another thing I can smell is your arousal. It smells so good, but I'm trying to play with your daughter and all I can smell is you, it's making it very hard to concentrate, because you are turning me on the more you get turned on.." he says with his hands on my hips.

I set the eggs down, turning around in his hold looking mortified, "Really? Every time? How embarrassing. I swear I can control myself normally. What did you do to me? You're making my body freak out over you." I say playfully slapping his chest as he chuckles and smirks, pulling me closer to him. This action makes my breath hitch as I watch him lean in and kiss my ear as he whispers, "That's because I am your Mate, my love. Do you believe me now?" He asks sending so many shivers and sparks down my spine. Oh man, it feels so good.

"If I object, does that mean you will do it more to prove me wrong? If so, then no, I don't believe you at all, not even remotely." I say as he chuckles and clears his throat, saying. "To be continued, so I can prove you wrong of course, but it's my turn with your fun amazing daughter and I'm not missing that chance." He says turning around to walk back to Aurora.

That's so sexy that he is ditching me to make my daughter feel good. Such a sexy good dad. Dominic turns around instantly saying in a hushed voice, "I told you to stop it with that." he states pointing his finger at me as I chuckle and retort just as quietly, "Well stop being sexy then! That's not my body's fault, you're amazing!" This comment makes him grin and wink.

He turns around and sits right next to Aurora, racing her again. Oh my gosh, I think I'm in love. I don't know what's happening to me, but it all has to do with him... Whatever this is, has hit me like a ton of bricks. But I am thinking of love, which scares the hell out of me.

Dominic's POV

I keep trying to play with Aurora and man, I just keep getting the smell of her arousal filling my nostrils and it smells so savory and sweet.

She is making it impossible to be a good dad right now!

Miles complains but in a good way because we want Ash so badly. But her daughter just claimed me as her dad and declared she wanted to move in with me, making me so much happier. That I now have to try to ignore that amazing smell, just to be a good dad right now.. showing both of them that I can handle this life.

I want and need this life just as much as they do, so we can enjoy this together. I just don't know how long I can control myself around Ashleigh. She is so sexy on so many levels that it's crazy how long I have been able to hold myself back from being an Alpha werewolf.

I see Ashleigh walk our way in my peripherals. She squats down next to the couch on Aurora's side saying, "Lovebug, I made some brunch. Your favorite, so finish kicking Dom's butt so you can eat something." her sweet angelic voice comes out so smooth, it's music to my ears for sure. I would listen to her talk all day if I could.

Of course, Aurora wins again and of course, I let it happen because I want her to feel as good as possible when she is with me.

We got up and headed to the table to sit. Ashleigh brings out everything, setting it on the table in the middle of all of us.

But she puts together Aurora's plate for her first, being such a good mom. She thinks she is the worst for her, but I think she is the best mom she could have got.

I wait until the ladies get their food, then I grab mine. I put butter and syrup on the pancakes, taking a bite as I moan at the perfectly cooked pancakes. "Are you just good at everything, Ash? This brunch is amazing." I say to her as she smiles at me. But Aurora is the one to answer, "Of course she is! I told you she is the best mom!"

I laugh and smile back at her saying, "You're correct once again Princess." Once I say that back to Aurora, I smell that savory-sweet smell of Ashleigh's arousal. She loves how I am with her daughter and that makes me feel good, that I know I'm doing something right.

I glance up, biting my lip as she is just blatantly staring at me. Is she trying to show me she is turned on right now?? No, she wouldn't be.. right?? I don't know maybe. Goddess, either way, she smells and looks so good... She already looks good normally but her getting all dolled up today makes me want to just rip her clothes off, and take her right here right now, especially smelling her arousal.

Goddess, I think we both know what that look in her eyes means and we definitely know what that smell means.

Miles says to me, stating the obvious.

Yes, we do, but I'm still not pushing stuff... She didn't exactly have the best first experience at all with s*x and I don't want to remind her of any of that. I want to give her a way better experience than that, so I won't push things. I will wait until I know she is ready. I know it will be hard, but we can do it Miles. She deserves that type of treatment after everything she has been through.

I say back trying to explain it to him, he groans but completely agrees with me which makes me feel better, along with making the situation much easier to deal with.

I look up again and she is staring at me curiously again. I'm nervous at this point so I wink, making her blush and look away. I love how nervous I make her. She doesn't know how nervous she makes me though, so we are almost even whether she knows it or not.

We finish eating and of course, after our long morning or early afternoon, Aurora is getting tired again.

"Mommy, can you race me? I haven't got to race you yet." Aurora says as she yawns.

"Ok fine one race, but you will need to take a nap after, so you're not grumpy all the rest of the afternoon.. deal?" Ashleigh says back to her, extending her hand. Aurora takes her hand right away, shaking it and then responding "deal."

"I'm going to have to go talk to my parents. I told them I was staying here at least for the next couple of days and they are not too happy with me... you know why. So I'm going to go calm them down. But I'll be back right after.. shouldn't take too long." says Stefanie to Ashleigh.

She nods in response to her, as I say, "I was hoping I could take you, ladies to dinner, a movie, and some dessert afterward? Since it's such a nice day, I was hoping to walk with you all around to enjoy the nice weather before it gets too cold?" I suggest and hope they agree to it, as the ladies stare at each other. I noticed Stefanie wink at Ashleigh, making her smile and blush.

She turns looking at me with those breathtaking green orbs of hers as she says, "That sounds like fun, we can wait for Stefanie to get back, and not until after little miss Princess takes a nap!" She says sternly looking to Aurora, who is bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet in excitement at my statement.

I nod and smile at her as Aurora finishes her meal, putting her plate away in the sink, then stating, "Ok Momma I'm ready to kick your butt!" This comment makes me chuckle as I look up at Ashleigh and she is smirking as she says, "Ok then I'm kicking Dom's butt next." She challenges as I smile back and nod.

"She is ticklish if you want to make sure you win," Aurora says to me as Ashleigh's eyes go wide. "Aurora! You're not supposed to help him cheat to win!" She acts surprised as Aurora laughs and says, "Oops.. sorry mommy, but I like daddy." I chuckle again as Ashleigh playfully glares at me.

She finishes her plate of food and so do I. But she takes my plate from me before I even have a chance to take it to the sink to rinse it or anything. Stefanie stands up and Ash takes her plate, just the same as Stefanie kisses her cheek, going to Aurora and kissing her cheek as well. She waves at me as she says, "I'll be back my lovelies, see you soon." she heads out the door.

Ashleigh cleans off the plates quickly and I take them out of her hand, drying them as she looks at me surprised but happy that I'm helping her, I think. Maybe she is just happy with the close proximity.

We finish the dishes in no time at all as Ashleigh dries her hands off and sits down on the couch awaiting Aurora's arrival. They play a race and Ashleigh knows how to make it look like she is trying, as she intentionally loses. It makes Aurora feel like she is kicking butt. It's so sweet, I can tell she is throwing the race, but of course, Aurora can't, which is all that matters. Aurora cheers as she gives her mama a high five, I clap and wink at Ashleigh. As she stands up, grabs Aurora's hand, pulling her behind her into the bedroom.

I follow close behind the two of them as Ashleigh pulls the blanket back. Aurora lays down while Ash pulls the blanket back up, tucking her into bed, and giving her a kiss on her forehead. I kneel next to the bed as Aurora smiles at me as whispers, "Thank you for being nice to us and not mean like everyone else. I know it makes Mommy feel bad when people are mean, but I like that you make her feel good. She is a good mommy and needs to feel good." She says this so sweetly to me, creating a bigger-than-expected smile on my face. I look up and see tears brimming in Ashleigh's gorgeous eyes. I turn back, looking at Aurora before saying, "You will never have to worry about this place again... I'm going to take you both with me and always treat you this well and my family will love you both so much, I promise." Aurora smiles at me nodding, obviously liking that idea.

I lean down and kiss her cheek saying, "Get some sleep princess, and we will go out having some fun tonight, ok?"

She nods, rolling over and closing her eyes. I grab Ashleigh's hand, pulling her behind me and out of the room, then back to the couch.

"Alright, time for me to kick some butt for real... ready to lose beautiful?" I say playfully to her as she retorts back, "I won't lose as long as you don't take my daughter's tips and cheat." She smirks back at me saying this with so much humor in her voice before plopping down on the couch next to me.

"Well, I can't guarantee anything," I say wiggling my eyebrows at her. She shakes her head, handing me my controller, and grabs her own. We start the race and she is actually good, surprisingly enough.. It's to the point that she is beating me, legitimately. She is giggling as she says with so much humor in her voice, "I didn't realize my daughter beat you on her own, I just thought you were being nice letting her win, but that's what I get for thinking, huh?"

I scoff as she giggles more. I sneak my hand to her side and start tickling her. She starts bending to that side, giggling so loudly as she tries to hold onto her controller to still try to beat me. "You said you wouldn't cheat!" She squeaks out between giggles. "I said I wouldn't guarantee that and I didn't realize you were good at this! I can't lose the first race against you." I say just as playfully to her, listening to her adorable giggling.

I let go of her side as I grab hold of my controller, driving again as she hops up, reaching across me, trying to get hold of my controller to keep me from winning, since we are both just cheating now. I hold my long arm out, the farthest away from her that I can, still holding my controller in that hand. I try to keep steering my car with my thumb.

She giggles as she reaches across me, but she is too short, so she definitely can't reach my hand. She starts pulling on my arm, grabbing hold, trying to get it closer to her, but my arms are too strong to even budge. So I use this to my advantage and pull her across my lap with my arm, as she still holds onto my bicep as if it's her last lifeline.

I wrap my other arm around her to make sure she doesn't fall, as I start to tickle her again. She squirms in my hold, giggling breathlessly. "Ok ok ok you big, gorgeous cheater, I lose, so I give in!" She says between breaths as I stop tickling her and just stare down at her in my hold, smirking at her.

"Gorgeous huh?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows at her. "Of course, you chose to ignore the 'big cheater' part of that comment! But yes gorgeous." She says smirking at me, as she sits up so her face is just inches away from mine, letting her caramel scent fill my nostrils.

I stare into her bright green eyes as she whispers poking my chest with her pointer finger, "That's not fair you big cheater, you cheated because you knew I was winning."

"Yes, no denying that, and did you ever think that maybe I cheated also because I wanted any reason to get close to you," I say to her as I see she swallows the lump in her throat, before I close the space between us, pressing my lips to hers, igniting those natural sparks once again.
