Chapter 20
Daniel smiled gently and I thought I would melt into a puddle on the ground. I couldn’t speak. If I did, I wouldn’t be able to hold back the tears.
He told me he’d actually seen me around the station recently in one of the restaurants. I was with a man that he presumed was my boyfriend. I couldn’t recall ever seeing Daniel before. I was sure I would never forget those eyes or his handsome face.
He didn’t mention Malvolio, so maybe he didn’t know what Malvolio looked like.
Good.
I didn’t want him to recognise Malvolio or ask questions about him.
Daniel told me he was basically here till his contract ran out. After that he wanted to go back to his home planet of Taon and continue working there.
I smiled. He was from the same planet as Javolo and Javolo was heading home soon
