My parents excuse themselves from the room and gave us time with my friends to talk. “How are you feeling KC?” Sandro ask as he went on my side and so did Mike and Simon while Crisha, on the other hand, was sitting beside me and holding my hand. “I’m feeling better now,” I respond as I look at them. “We were so worried about you KC!” Crisha started to cry again as she held my hands tighter. I jokingly roll my eyes at her as I let out a weak chuckle. “I’m okay now Crisha, can’t you see?” I croaked and looked at her while smirking. She lightly tapped my arms as she glared at me. “I’m dead serious KC! You don’t just make fun of what had just happened!” She snorted. “I’m not, I’m just saying that I’m fine now… alive and kicking and of course gorgeous as always,” I said and winked at her. I heard the boys chuckle. “Yeah, of course,” Sandro “You are KC,” Simon smiled at me while looking at me with amazement. I looked at Crisha with a smug look and raised my brows at her, I just want to lighten the atmosphere and for Crisha to stop her drama. “How about you Mike?” I grinned at Mike who was just silent while watching us. He shook his head and shrugged. “Well, I couldn’t agree more,” He answered followed by his weak laughs. “But wait,” Crisha interrupts before she looked at me. “Hmm?” I tilted my head to look at her. “What, really happened KC?’’ She asked in her dead serious tone. The light atmosphere dies down as it replaces with seriousness. We all looked at Sandro as it Clear his throat. “We have seen the CCTV footage your car crashed onto the cargo van truck… and as I’ve seen, you seemed to lose control… what happened really?” He asked. “Shawn was drunk that time or something?’’ Crisha asked. Sandro looked at Crisha then he turned to me. “It undergoes investigation Sandro and it clearly showed there that your car just---” I cut him off. “I was the one who was driving the car,” I admit, Crisha’s eyes widens as she looked at me. “What the f**k?” she cursed. I frowned as I looked at her, why she doesn’t know anyway? The boys don’t seem surprised but Crisha looks so oblivious. “Don’t tell me you didn’t know about it Crisha?” Mike asked in disbelief. “Well, what? It’s not my fault if I didn’t hear the news of what really happened, when I heard she got into an accident I was damn so worried and I was more focused on that,” She reasoned out. “Oh, nice…” Simon commented while chuckling. “Oh, shut up, Simon” Crisha hissed. “We should just be thankful that she’s okay, right beautiful?” Simon wiggled his brows at me. “Yeah,” We spend time talking and catching up with each other, Crisha also informed me that she has all her notes and that she will going to lend them to me since we’re just the same course… In business administration, though, I want to be a pilot too and a photographer… they’re my options career. We talked for half an hour when Melinda knocked on the door bringing a troller of food and she’s with another maid which I don’t know the name but I’ve seen her working here for so long. “Here’s your food,” She politely announced politely. And just as usual, she’s blushing maybe because of these three guys here. “Thanks, girls,” Simon lively said. While the playful Sandro winked at them. After they properly placed the food on the table, they both stormed out of the room. It was 8 p.m. when they decided to leave. “I’m going to visit here tomorrow, KC… and I’ll bring my notes so you could cope up, okay?” She assured me. I smiled and nodded at her. She’s still sitting on the side of my bed. “Yeah, thanks,” I paused as I looked at Simon, Sandro, and Mike at the corner, they looked adorably funny ‘cause they are standing in front of us while their hands are in their pocket. “Thanks for coming,” I smiled at them. “I’ll be back here tomorrow, beautiful,” Simon uttered. “Do you want something, perhaps fruits, chocolate? I’ll bring it tomorrow evening,” He stated. “Yeah, thanks,” I chuckle. “Me too, I’ll pay a visit… tomorrow,” Mike said. Crisha’s gaze immediately darted at her cousin when he said that. She raised her brows and shook her head, “Count me in,” Sandro smiled. They must be free these days, I just nodded at them and smiled, I want it though, so I wouldn’t get bored here, “We’re going KC,” Crsiha bit her goodbye and hugged me then she kissed my cheek. “See you tomorrow, KC,” Simon said softly as he advanced a step toward me. He was about to give me a kiss when Crisha pulled his shirt from the back. “Hey, hey, what do you think you’re doing?” She snapped at Simon, “What? I’m just going to give her a goodbye kiss on the cheek,” His face crumpled as he tried to get the grip of Crisha off his shirt. “Kiss! Your face!... go, go, out of the door,” snorted at him. I heard Mike and Sandro chuckle. “That was smooth, man!” Sandro mocked him, I shook my head while watching them, I’m wondering how Simon became close with Crisha’s cousins. “We’re---” Crisha was interrupted by a soft knock on the door, After a moment, my parents showed up at the door and the boys greeted them, “Good evening, Madame, Sir,” They greeted formally in unison… “Oh, good evening to you guys,” My mom smiled at them while my dad nodded. “Thanks for visiting my sweetheart,” she added with all smiles… “She’s our dear friend madame, it’s our pleasure,” Crisha responded. “Yes, I know that dear,” My mom smiled, “We’re going now, Sir and Madame but we’ll be here by tomorrow again, hope you don’t mind,” Simon politely stated. “Oh, of course, sure… take care on your way home,” She was smiling while looking at them, “We will, “ When they left the room, I sighed and rested my back on the headboard of my bed, I miss my room maybe one of these days, I’m going to move there. “Cassidy,” Voice coming from my dad, “We got the bodyguards for you,” He stated in a serious tone. “And, you’ll gonna see him tomorrow,” My mother happily declared. “I don’t really think I need one---” They immediately cut me off. “Cut it, Cassidy. He’ll go wherever you go, he’ll protect you, he’ll be going to assist you and all,” My mom stated. My face grimaced. “Mom! It’s not as if I’m disabled you know,” I said grumpily… The Idea just sucks! “I told you, Cassidy, you’ll have one whether you like it or not.”“For the past 2 months, I was just working at home sweetheart,” My mom mumbled while she was sitting on my bed beside me. “And your dad was seldom attending meetings ‘cause we’re more focused on you, we were so worried and we want to be hands-on for your fast recovery.” Smiled at me as she held both of my hands. I pursed my lips as I listened to her… All this time I was behaving so careless b***h because I thought they put their business first before me but I think I was very wrong, and I felt so damn bad because of that. I hate my dad before because he was commanding and he was always busy with his business and so did my mom, but l little did I know nor realize that all of it was for me! I’m such a bad daughter. “Sweetheart? are you okay?” She asked worriedly. I didn’t notice that I was drowned with so many thoughts in my head and forget that my mother was there. “Y-yeah, I’m okay… don’t worry,” I answered. My father Hebron wasn’t here, His secretary arrived a while ago when Melinda informed my dad, I think he brought here some important files and they were at his office now. I was left with my mother. “Your papers were already fixed and if you’re fully recovered then you can go to attend your classes,” She stated and paused, “You don’t want my other suggestion so, let’s just wait until you’re fully okay.” She continued. Well, we talked a while ago about her suggestion, and I didn’t agree with that. She asked if I want to be homeschooled even just for a month but I didn’t like that Idea… I swear, I will gonna die because of boredom. And, I want to be with Crisha, my partner in crimes… She prepared her notes for me so I could cope with the missed lessons, so… no worries. I’m studying at Alexandria University, freshmen and I’m taking business Ad the same with Crisha, It was a prestigious school, and most of the students who went there were known as wealthy or son/daughter of politicians since it has the tightest security. I was taking a bite of my apple when the door opened, my dad made his way in followed by his secretary, Brandon… He immediately smiled at me while my dad was on his serious façade and he was in his casual dress unlike earlier. “Good evening, Madame,” Brandon slightly bowed as he greeted my mom who was sitting on my side. “Good evening, how do you do, Brandon?” My mom asked casually, but even with that, she still so intimidating with pride. My dad went to the table in the corner near the glass wall of this room and he sat there while he was reading something on the paper that he was holding, I shrugged… I didn’t notice that earlier… “Doing good, Mrs. Tyson,” He responded respectfully with a sly smile on his face, then he glanced at me and smiled. My mom just nodded as she watched Brandon going near me, “Hi, how are you, young lady?” His first question when he’s now in front of me. “Feeling better,” I said as I slightly move my shoulder. “That’s good, I’m glad to know that, young lady.” He said then nodded at me. Brandon excused himself as he strode in my dad’s direction. “It’s 9.m., sweetie, you better sleep now,” My mom called my attention. I was about to say yes when another knock on the door came, and afterward, the door opened revealing the blushing Melinda and when I saw who was the man behind her… I think my breath just hitch and my heart began its crazy and rapid beats!... “Oh, Viel! “My mom hurriedly approached him while she’s smiling so wide, I could say that he’s her favorite visitor huh? His different-colored eyes were locked on mine… I pursed my lips while watching him, Still so gorgeous cold man as ever… He was just wearing a plain black shirt and black pants paired with his brown ankle boots… I’m really good at checking him out only last for seconds and I could easily notice if there are changes or there are not. “I’m so glad you came!” My mom exclaimed happily, well, since before I already know that she was fond of him. Viel smiled slightly when he glanced at my mom but it immediately went back on me. His hair was in a man’s bun and it seems like it grew a bit longer now, and as always, he looks hot as f**k while holding a bouquet of sunflowers. My mother was right, he brings sunflowers every time he visits. My mother is with Melinda, they were talking and I guess my mom was ordering Melinda to prepare some desserts. I inhaled deeply as I looked at the man who was walking toward me right now. His face looks hard and serious and I couldn’t guess what he was thinking right now. While watching him getting near, there’s only one thing I could say… I miss him… I want to smack my head because for Pete’s sake he’s not even my boyfriend or something close to that yet I’m here missing him like crazy… even though he’s now in front of me I still miss him… Our eyes locked, but I couldn’t read him… maybe I was an open book for him and he was someone made by invisible ink that I could hardly read, I can’t read at all… “H-hi…” I stammered as I looked at him and say hi, he’s now standing beside my bed while holding the bouquet of sunflowers for me… His melting stares were on me that couldn’t even make me move… He was serious while his eyes bore onto me… Maybe he was the one my mom talked to on the phone after Simon and the 3 cousins left… because he doesn’t look surprised seeing me awake right after he entered the room, he was just staring at me as if I would vanish the moment he’ll tear his gaze away… “Karina…” His deep baritone voice that I missed filled my ears… A smile crept onto my lips with the thought that instead of asking me how I am, it’s like he has his own way to ask that by calling my name… and I really love the way he says my name, it’s like rough and soothing… My smile grew wider but before I could say something, I heard my dad’s voice call him… “Viel…” My dad called his name. I secretly pouted, can’t be that later dad?! I complained mentally. Viel looked at me first and maybe he saw that I look a bit grumpy right now so a slow smirk formed on his lips… then he handed me the bouquet of sunflowers he was holding. He’s just so amazing and clever ‘cause he perfectly picked the flower he knows that I would love… I hugged the flowers on me as I watched him making his was on the table where my dad and Brandon were discussing something… I was mentally smiling with my silly thoughts, maybe if he’ll going to be here everyday then I don’t think if a medicine is still needed…
