CHAPTER 78

"Why are you here?"

I open up a topic as I glance at him, Viel was behind the steering wheel and he's driving, heading to my school.

" Going to have a meeting with your dad and other investors, I bet you already heard about it." He implied nonchalantly.

I mentally roll my eyes. And my eyes mindlessly drifted at his thick strong arms like they could break you in just a snap.

"Do you have suitors at school?" He critically asked.

My eyebrows lift when he suddenly dropped that kind of question.

Suitors huh?

I was about to open my mouth when I saw his head shook in dismay as if he was telling to himself that he shouldn't ask that when the answer is obvious.

"Tss, never mind." He hissed as he focused his stares on the road.

I smirk as I crossed my arms on my chest.

"You're eager to speed up so we'll arrive at my school earlier? Slow down, Viel, I still want it here." I softly said as I wiggled my brows at him playfully.

He just showed me his arrogant and grumpy look.

I can't help but let out a hearty laugh.

Damn, how I love him that way, just thinking that he's beside me and I'm free staring at him at every angle.

"And about suitors..., well---"

"Oh, cut that Karina, I know there's a lot but you're too young for that." He started with his baritone voice as if he hated that Idea.

" uh-huh?" I looked at him as I smiled sweetly.

His hair in a man bun looks good as always on him.

"How'd you know?" I asked livelier.

It's just so amazing how time flies so fast.

He was so damn and extremely stone-like gorgeous man before but right now--- well, he's still though, but at least I could a bit of emotion from him unlike before. At least I could get near him.

He just raised his thick brows as an answer.

"Because I'm so pretty so that's why my suitors line up!"

I said jokingly.

"Sit properly, Karina." He demanded as his eyes swiftly avoid when it darted in my direction.

" God fn it, your dress!" He angrily spat that I almost jump on my seat and there I noticed my dress raised up mid-high that almost showing my underwear.

I immediately fix it and playfully looked at him

" Old school," I mumbled but I'm sure he heard it clearly.

He parted his lips and licks them after but his eyes were glued on the road, unlike earlier... He's driving slowly right now.

" You shut your mouth, Karina, you shouldn't be having naughty thinking, you're still young." He stated.

But I frowned at his statement.

Hahaha... he sounds like my dad!

"Hmmm? Really? But we did kiss, Viel." I said sensually while looking at him.

My eyes widens a bit when his perfectly sculpted jaw clenched as he greeted his teeth like something just triggered him. And as if on cue he slowed the pace of the car until he totally stopped it and parked on the side.

I was like, with my brows shot up and parted lips while looking at him who's now seriously looking at me intently.

"W-why did you stop the car?" I stammered.

"Hmm? Let's talk about the kiss last time then,"

He muttered softly as if he was seducing me though his expression is so serious like he was not playing around... but we'll, he's not fond of joking around though.

My wide-eyed gaze settled on him and I, even more, grew wider when he began leaning closer.

This frosty is just so f*****g unpredictable! He was grumpy a while ago and now look what he just did!

" H-hey! Viel! I'm going to be late" I said and my shaking voice was very evident.

His thin luscious lips formed into a small smile.

This guy is just so oblivious about his killer charm.

He's just breathtakingly handsome.

"Yeah." He languidly responded.

I fired at him.

" Well then... Considered it as a friendly kiss." He answered using his cool voice before he sit up straight back to the right composure.

My face crumpled and I throw a glare at him.

"Excuse me?" I snorted at him

Seriously? He wants me to think that it's just a simple f*****g friendly kiss? Just what the hell?!

He sighed and lightly brush his long hair in a man bun, that's his mannerism though.

I've been with him for some time and I already know his gestures and mannerisms.

I'm ready to scold him one more time and he was just there watching me amusingly like I'm an adorable kid in front of him throwing feet!

But the sudden sounds of my phone interrupted me.

I picked and answered it.

It was Crisha calling me, I bet she's already at school and waiting for me

" Hello---"

"Where the f**k on earth are you, KC? It's already half past 9! " Crisha exclaimed on the other line.

My eyes widens as ai hurriedly glance at my wristwatch and saw the time.

I was frustrated by closing my eyes and glared at this man who was just watching me calming that I'm panicking.

"s**t! I'm on my way!" I said as I cut the call.

I was stunned for a moment when Viel's laugh bombarded the car.

"You sit properly, Karina." He demanded as he started the engine of his car once again.

I didn't argue anymore, I just obeyed what he just said.

And then his meeting with my dad and other businessmen crossed my mind.

I looked at him, perhaps he's already late too?
