CHAPTER 46

After our encounter earlier, Viel completely loses his little amount of patience with me ‘cause he grab my arms slightly and pulled me until we reached my mom’s garden, It’s in the back and I didn’t know why he knows where my mom’s garden is.

“What are we doing here?” I asked in a low voice. There’s no one here except us since everyone was at my party and funny that the birthday celebrant was here at the spacious back of the mansion.

Viel still looks so stiff and serious, he’s towering over me and I was looking up at him. He still look so dangerously dominant and handsome even though I couldn’t see him properly because it was lightly dimmed while we were standing here, plus he was against the light but despite that, his good stance says it all.

I crossed my arms on my chest and his coat slightly slid down on my shoulder, I was taken aback when he took one step and arrange it back on my shoulder, he breathtakingly smelled so addictive.

“You said you have something for me? where my gift then?” I asked and arched my brows at him.

Viel sighed and looked at me intensely, though I cannot see his different colors and enchanting eyes of him since it was dark still, his sharp gaze affects me a lot.

I bit my lower lip, I wonder what he thinks about me, he sees me as a little sister…? Or are we friends or something close to that? If that is so then, that’s ouch!

He picked something out of his pocket, I was attentively watching him and excited to see what he got for me.

I heard a deep chuckle coming from him, so I looked at him and I caught him watching my every reaction closely…

“Excited much… huh?” He asked in a weak baritone voice.

My face grimaced!... He didn’t show me yet since his huge hand was still resting in his pocket

“What?! you frosty! Where is it?” I asked eagerly while my eyes trailed down to his hands that were still in his pocket not planning to pull out and show me what he has for me.

I pouted, so much advertisement! … though, I have received a lot of gifts tonight but… you know, it would be a different case if it’s from him.

His deep manly chuckles mixed in the stillness of the night and it was so soothing…

I was stunned when he pulled something into his pocket and I saw that it was a very nice and fancy necklace! And it has a plane gold pendant on it! It was so beautiful that I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

“That’s for me?” I asked him and it was almost a whisper.

“Uh-huh,” He simply answered as if it was a very low growl, I was still speechless. Then he tilted his head to the other side before he spoke.

‘’Turn around,” He commanded but why does it sound so soft?

My both cheeks heated up before I obeyed him… I turned around.

His electrifying touch almost makes my knees wobble, why does it affect me this much!?

He moved my hair on the right side of my shoulder and I got what he wanted to do… He wants to put the necklace with a beautiful plane pendant on me. I felt his warm breath as it touches my nape every time he exhales. I was standing and unmoving until he was done with putting the necklace on.

I turned around to meet his gaze…

“Do you like it?” He asked in a very slow and low tone.

I nodded repeatedly.

“Yes,” I answered and smiled sweetly at him.

I saw how his lips twitched while his eyes trailed down…

“Better than the…bracelet?” He asked while giving me a suspicious look. My forehead was slightly knotted,

Bracelet? Is he referring to Simon’s gift? Though I liked it too and I appreciate it.

“Better than the bracelet…?” I repeated.

“Yeah,” He responded lazily while his hands were on both of his pockets.

“Hmm,” I nodded. I don’t actually know why he’s asking anyway, but, true I really love his gift, and I will not gonna remove this.

He chuckles once again before he looked around, as I’ve said earlier we’re alone here so no one’s gonna make an issue about us… we’re doing anything though.

A short silence and we just stared at each other after a second a genuine smile crept onto his lips, he looks more appealing whenever he smiles and it seldomly happens just like now, he doesn’t look strict cold, and grumpy.

“Happy birthday, Karina.”

His cold voice gave me chills when he greeted me, well, I remember he didn’t greet me earlier…

I almost laugh at my thoughts, he really has to pull me here where no one will gonna see us, just to greet me and give his gifts? Really? so f*****g adorable Viel.

“Thanks, and” I smiled and show him the necklace that I was wearing, ‘’ Thank you for this too,” I added.

‘’ Yeah, that looks good on you… you don’t need the bracelet, I guess” He said in a serious tone and gulped while he avoided his gaze on me.

“That one from Simon?” I asked confusingly.

He bore his gaze on me before he nodded and stared at the necklace I was wearing for a while.

“Uh-huh,” He nodded

“So?” I asked, what’s he is trying to point out then? He doesn’t like it? Or what?

“Tss…nothing, Karina.” He grumpily leered at me. I raised my brows at him, sudden changes of mood again!

“Are you going back to Seattle, after my party?” I asked and I tried to sound as casual as possible.

“Hmmm,” he answered straightly and I didn’t get it. I frowned and looked at him.

“What’s that? A yes or no?” I asked.

Stupid KC! Of course, he would go back! He’s a busy man remember?!

“I’m going back tonight, Sidro checked in, in one of the hotels near here and he was actually waiting for me,” He answered in a serious tone.

I sighed as I look down and nodded disappointingly, and I look up at him again with my pursed lips and he was just silently watching me closely.

“Why you didn’t bring Sidro with you?” I asked.

He should be here as well…

I saw Viel raise his thick brows at me.

“He’s busy,” He simply added…

I bit my lower lip once again before I opened my mouth to ask him again.

“Are you really not going back to your late mom’s house?” I said and I saw him furrowed,

He slightly shook his head, there are already taking care of it, Karina. I paid some to do that and didn’t worry, you’ve done your part there, you’re fully paid.” He stated before his low deep laughs bombarded the place… I pouted, well…yeah, I remembered the main reason why he had come up with that Idea though.

“Oh?... I haven’t seen that Lambo of yours again,” I mumbled and chuckled. He just raised his thick brows and looked at me.

Indeed a happy birthday…
