“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU have glow-in-the-dark stars here, too.”
Alex can feel, if not see, Liam shrug in the dark. They’re not actually tangled up with each other yet, although he knows Liam’s habits and knows they will be. For now though, the proximity makes everything tense in a way that feels good and possibly a little bit dangerous.
“Carly gave them to me,” Liam says. “She thinks they’re cute.”
“Have you guys found a house yet?”
“No, still looking.”
“Sucks,” Alex says. He keeps his hope that Carly will be in charge of decorating this time to himself.
“It’s fine. We’re both busy. The schedule doesn’t offer a lot of downtime.”
“I noticed.”
“I get why you wanted to leave,” Liam says. “Mostly because you’re you and I know how you do s**t even if I don’t always get how your brain works
