My Twin Mates

episode 9

Jenifer pov:

Have you ever missed someone? Have you ever wanted them so bad you were willing to buy a plane ticket to fly to the otherside of the world, then take a rocket to outer space? Then land in the middle of the ocean and swim back to land and hitchhike to their house. All just to see them?

That's how I feel right now. I miss my mates a lot, but they have a job and so do I. I can't be wasting time staring off into space just because they are a couple hours away from me. I sighed and rubbed my hands over my face. Then got a water bottle and decided to go to the lumber yard to check on Nathan and ap ap. When I walked into the small shed-like building I found it empty so I followed the sound of wood chopping to the back. "Hey magic mut" I said as I watched him chop the wood. "Where is ap ap"

Nathan glanced at me but kept chopping. "Hey little alpha" he chuckled a bit before finally splitting the wood "dad is in town with all the other old folks. Pretty sure he's discussing the pack with them"

I nodded. "Figures he's one of the few left from the original pack and was among the strongest ranks." I leaned against a pile of wood.

He put the ax down and walked over to me "so what's the plan today?"

I shrugged. "I'm just going out of town to get supplies to fix the pack house and then I'm gonna make you and my brother help fix s**t and make a proper path from here to the pack house. I might make you run laps and move stuff around." I smiled sweetly at him.

He laughed. "So we're just doing a patience test."

I gasped as if I was offended "do you think this is a joke!? If you even wanna stand a chance as my beta you'll have to get a lot stronger!"

"I'm way stronger than that dog!" This time Nathan gave me a fake look of offefornse.

"I have an idea! Let's have a tournament! All who want to join can! There can be 3 different sections! One for speed, one strength and one for stamina!" I smiled proudly at my idea.

Nathan looked ecstatic about the idea as well. "Ya, and it can give us a good idea on new rankings!" He smiled happily. "Oh we could also invite some of the small nearby packs once we get some type of pack going " there was suddenly the ground of someone walking over and we both looked up to see ap ap and an elderly woman.

"What the hell are you two talking about?" The elderly woman asked.

I smiled softly at her "We were wondering if we could put on a little tournament. '' They gave us a look of concern. "We would break it up into sections so that different species would have an upper hand in at least one portion of it…. Well the humans might not do well… but we could do teams of up to 5."

Nathan nodded along. We could also invite some of the neighboring packs, to show that we are not planning to hurt or start anything. Plus we could really use allies, especially since the elders agree to forming a pack here!"

The elderly woman stayed silent as she stared at us bewildered but Ap Ap burst out laughing. He walked over to us and patted both of us on the shoulder. "You know what let's do it!" He straightened up and patted my head. "Ya we can organize everything and send out invitations! But it will have to be after the packhouse is properly fixed so that it's fit for an alpha to stay in."

I smiled and put my hands on my hips. "Then I'm going to need to borrow your son for the next couple days"

The next few days were mainly just heavy lifting and driving. We got the pack house fixed up, the kitchen completely stocked, all plumbing and electrical problems fixed, a training ground fixed up and an obstacle course built on it. We spent a lot of money doing it but it was worth it. A few people had started moving into the pack house while the buildings around the packhouse were being fixed up. The members of the community agreed to officially become a pack. And we started to properly form a ranking system. Because of the different species we had to look further than just physical strength like most packs did. We had 3 packs agree to come. One if the pack was a very large pack, it had surprised me quite a bit, they're probably coming to establish their strength and authority over us. But that's fine. I made it to where alphas could participate for a reason. The moon goddess gave me some great pawns, and I intend on using every single one of them.

The very next full moon we have an official ceremony to properly join all of the townspeople to the pack and to officially make me alpha… or well luna. Either way I'm in charge. And Justin will be my temporary beta while Nathan my temporary gamma, all the ranks will be properly changed after the tournament that was the very next day.

All of the packs that agreed to coming to the tournament also agreed to coming to the ceremony. It was mostly out of respect but I appreciated it either way. So the day before is when they arrived.

It was an early Saturday morning. To be honest I had forgotten that tomorrow was the ceremony so I was quite surprised when Justin mindlinked me telling me that the Shadow Blood pack alpha, beta, gamma, luna and warriors had entered the territory. I busted my ass back to the packhouse to quickly get cleaned up. It took 10 minutes to drive to the packhouse so I had time to change, do my hair and makeup then greet them at the door with Nathan who just hardly got there and cleaned up a bit as well. We were playing king of the hill. I personally loved to play games. I got to cultivate my teammates abilities without them realizing it. Formal training is easier for them to tell what I'm doing.

"Damn girl you clean up nicely!" Nathan laughed as he walked over buttoning his shirt up.

I sighed and fixed the uneven buttons then fixed his collar of the shirt. "You are helpless" I looked over his outfit closely. He was wearing a white button down shirt and some dress pants. His socks were bright pink. I was wearing a red dress that went down to my mid thigh. The fabric hugged my body uncomfortably. Most Lunas would wear floor length gowns, but I wanted them to think I was childish. I don't want to be noticed like all the other Lunas are. If I'm gonna be noticed I want to be sticking out.

After he got down eyeing my outfit as well he laughed. "You sure are good at manipulating." I couldn't help but laugh as I let my curly blonde hair fall neatly on my shoulders. My caramel brown hair was coming in at the roots. I liked my blonde hair but it couldn't beat my natural hair.

"And yet you are the only one that has noticed" I sighed as if I was sad about it.

He started to say something bit the conversation was cut short by a knock at the door. I smiled as I walked to the door the sound of my three inch heels clicking softly against the wood floor. I opened the door and smiled up at the tall man in a dark gray suit, black as night hair and a wide muscular build. He had one arm wrapped around a tall woman with orange wavy hair that flowed elegantly down her back. She was wearing a soft baby blue dress that fell to the floor, it showed off her curves very well. I'll admit she was very beautiful. "Alpha Ryan Luna Alexis, it's a pleasure to meet you!" I shook Alpha Ryan's hand firmly then softened my hold a bit when shaking Luna Alexis's hand.

Ryan nodded "Luna Jennifer." He greeted me and I stepped aside letting them in. I could tell he was scanning all of his surroundings as he walked in. He was in his 30's. His Luna was 4 years older than him but she looked to be my age. "You really cleaned this place up" I heard Ryan mumble.

"Thank you." I sighed and looked around. "We are still working on getting the pack house back to its former glory."

He had a glimpse of sadness wash over his features but it was gone as soon as it came. Ryan was an alpha whenever my mother went rogue. He had just become an alpha, but he was very close with my father. We had had an alliance for many generations, and I remember vague memories of him from when I was a child. "I will show you to your rooms now, so you can unpack your stuff and get settled in." I smiled at all of them.

Ryan's Beta's stomach growled and I giggled. Luna Alexis laughed as well. "When will the next eating time be here?"

"Well let's have brunch together! I will have food made immediately." I looked back at Nathan who smiled and nodded as he walked back to the kitchen, despite being a total brute he was a damn good cook. I lead them up the stairs to the top floor, the alphas floor. I opened the door to the guest room. "Here is your room alpha Ryan and Luna Alexis."

"Please, drop the formalities" Ryan smiled down at me and I couldn't help but smile back at him.

"Ok Ryan. " After they went into their room I led the beta to his room and then the guards to theirs, some of them would have to share with each other. By time I was done with them Justin had mind linked me saying that the elders were wanting to talk to me. I ran down to the kitchen and stopped right infront of Nathan while moving my back to him. "Unzip this then open the door for me after I shift, tell them that I will be right back something urgent came up"

"What's happening?" He asked as he unzipped my dress.

He turned away as I stripped my clothes off. "I'll tell you when I get back, I don't know yet" I shifted into my wolf and he picked up my clothes and walked me to the door opening it for me.
