Caide saw the tears rolling down on her cheeks. He felt something weird inside his heart, but he ignored it because of the thought that maybe he is not fully recovering yet. He touched his chest because the pain is different. He can feel something inside his heart besides his heart beat.
Is he in pain because of Celestine? He thought and look at her again.
"Celestine?" said Caide while staring at her. Elise removed Caide's arms onto her then she stared at Celestine with mad face.
"What is she doing here? Come on Caide, let's go. Leave her". Elise said while trying to convince Caide to leave with her. She held Caide's hands to get out of the place but Caide insisted to go to Celine.
"Wait, Elise. I have to talk to her. Just quick", then Caide ran to Celestine quickly while leaving Elise there waiting.
"Poor Celestine, no matter what you do, Caide would be mine". Elise smiled while staring at Celestine. She cannot help but to smile secretly. She used to see how happy her friend was, until she stole her boyfriend. Then she walked towards them slowly.
"Celestine... (panted) what are you doing here? Why are you crying?", then Caide gave his handkerchief to her.
"Oh hello, Celestine. Long time no see". Elise interrupted them then smiled sarcastically. "How are you, then?"
"Tell him the truth, Elise". Celestine said with a crack voice. She never give up and thought that she need to do something for their relationship.
"Umm what truth?" Caide confused
"Truth about what? That you pushed Caide? That you wanted him to die? Come on Celestine! You shouldn't do that in the first place if you wanted Caide to die". Elise said with mocking tone.
"No I didn't! You are the one who did that to Caide! Tell him that you did it. Stop lying Elise! We both knew who did it and it was you. You wanted him to steal away from me", Celestine replied angrily.
"Uhh excuse me, Caide is my boyfriend since then. And why would I tell lies to my boyfriend? Stop being so stupid Celestine. Caide already knows the truth. And, I am not lying. Come on, you are the one who is lying. It is your fault so stop blaming me!", then Caide looked at them with confusion. He doesn't know who's telling the truth. But his mind kept saying that Elise tells the truth.
Celestine walked towards Caide and held his hand tightly. She felt his cold hands. She remembered that when Caide held her hands before, she always felt his warmth. Caide will also hold her tight. But now, everything's changed. She really wanted Caide to remember her and comeback to her.
"Caide. I know you still don't remember everything. Please, do not let her lure you. I am your woman, your girlfriend, the love of your life". She said beggingly, hoping that the man would believe her. It is not too late to get him back. She still have a chance, only if Caide felt the same way.
Caide looked at her straight in the eyes and after a few seconds, he immediately pulled his hand back. Celestine was shocked by his sudden behavior. Caide would never do this to her, even when he still remembers her. He always thinks first before he said something to her to prevent her feelings to get hurt.
Why is he so different after he lost his memories? Why are you like this, Caide? Celestine thought.
"Celestine, I'm sorry. I was just wondering why you cried earlier so I gave you my handkerchief to wipe your tears. You know, I hate seeing woman crying. But, I do not remember you. Even if I remember you, ummm.. I will... I will never come back to you. Umm... please do not waste your time cause... cause I love Elise", then he held Elise's left hand. Elise felt Caide's warmth that made her smile.
"I'm sorry Celestine, ummm.. but if we really had a relationship before, I am breaking up with you. I'm sorry. I still can't believe you did that to me". Caide said while staring at Celestine with dismayed.
Celestine felt the pain from his words. It is really indeed an heartbreaking words for her. Even before, he would never say that to her or to any woman. What caused him to change was because of Elise.
Celestine get Caide's right hand while her she used her other hand to wipe her cheeks. He really loves Caide so much that she will do everything to hold him.
"I will not let you go. I will not give up."
Celestine said before she let go of his hand and left them. While walking away, she decided she will visit or interrupt Caide just to make him remember her.
Since that day, she always went to see Caide when she had a spare time. Sometimes, she goes to Caide's school just to bring him breakfast, but Caide always rejected her or avoided her.
Caide is studying to become a doctor and soon, he will inherit his parent's hospital, so he is working hard.
She remembered that it was their dream, to become the best doctor and nurse in the world.
"Celestine, please. Are you not tired? If you're not, at least consider my situation. I am a busy person." Caide said frustratingly at her.
"I know. That is why I only visit you at your vacant time. Can you spend your time with me during the morning? I am really jealous when you spend more time with Elise during evening."
Celestine smiled. She doesn't let herself get affected by Caide's words because she knew that Caide just lost his memories, not his feelings or love towards her.
Caide facepalmed her. He cannot believe that Celestine was not in her right mind right now. He's already pissed when Celestine always bothers him and now, he's mad because of Celestine asking for his time.
"Please, stay away from me. You disgusts me. Are you even worthy? I don't want to hurt women like you, but you leave me no choice. You're wasting my time". Caide left immediately and did not waste time to glance at Celestine.
Worthy? How dare he for questioning her worth?
After what they have been through, Celestine did her best for Caide. She always took care of Caide whenever he was sick, comforted him whenever he's sad and she was always by her side whenever he was not in his happy mood.
Is she really not worthy?
After he left, Celestine bursted into tears. It was very painful, yet she cannot just give up. Caide is the only person she has left, so she don't want to lose him.
Even if it hurts me, I will try my best to endure it. Celestine thought.
When she thought of Elise, she clearly remembered the day Caide visited Elise for dinner. Since then, she always saw them eating at a fancy restaurant at night. Sometimes, an out-of-town date.
She was really jealous, but she cannot do anything because Caide always pushed him to go away and sometimes when Caide is not around Elise tries to scheme her.
Elise is determined to take Caide away from her, while Celestine had no power to do something for Caide.
Celestine decided not to bother Caide for two weeks since she need to focus for the upcoming board exam. She wanted to prove herself to Caide that she is the right person to him.
For the past two weeks, Celestine pushed herself studying and making improvements. She missed Caide so much. She wanted to see him. Sometimes she wondered if Caide ever thought of her.
"Wait for me Caide. I will ace the board. I will fulfill my promise, our promise".
She's determined to snatch Caide away from Elise. Even the chances are very small, she is willing take the risk, just for Caide, only Caide.
