The cursed luna

A black snake slowly crawled all over her body. Its yellow eyes sparkled in the dark like fire orbs. She could feel its cold body over her. It sent chills all over her body. She felt that she was naked. She couldn't move as the serpent was growing, and its weight was pinning her down. Where am I? She wondered. The snake was bigger now, and slowly it transformed into a man. His face was above hers. Even in the darkness she saw his yellow eyes. His forked tongue licked her lips as she trembled in fear. His arms were above her shoulders, his body over hers. Olexia woke up from her dream, when she heard her alarm ringing loudly. She jumped out of her bed, still reminiscing about her dream. She still had her clothes, thank f**king gods. Olexia took a deep breath as if her lungs were out of air. Olexia walked towards the windows, brushed the curtains aside and looked out. She could see the thick woods outside her home. A blanket of snow still engulfed the woods. The sight was soothing and picturesque. She opened the glass windows and the cool fresh air rushed in to caress her. Olexia took her phone and clicked a few pictures of the mist-covered woods. While checking the pictures, she looked at the time and date on her phone. “Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh shit.” Olexia screamed. It was already seven in the morning. She had to pick up Arez from the railway station as he was coming back for a vacation. He was studying in a far away college. Arez said the college was located in some mountains away from the city and the people. Nowadays, he talks less. His texts became shorter. He was busy all the time. He said he has to study a lot. Three days ago, Arez sent her a text saying that he was coming home for a short vacation and asked her whether she could pick him up. Olexia was happy to accept, as she was missing him so badly. Olexia walked into the bathroom thinking she had to reach the station before time. Arez was always obsessed with punctuality. He never liked to wait for anyone or to be waited. A small serpent crawled out of the window as Olexia closed the bathroom door. Outside the window, it transformed into a black figure. Its yellow eyes stared at the bathroom. I will have you, Olexia. You will never become a wolf. You will give me my body and youth. I will devour you and suck out the last drop of your blood. It then turned into black smoke and disappeared into the air. She is Olexia, daughter of Taurus. Taurus was a business tycoon. He had many businesses. He was the head of the best aeronautical company in the country. He owns the most popular newspaper and magazine network. He was also in the weapons business. He had many enemies who wanted to see his downfall and occasionally tried to harm him. They wanted him out of competition because he had always remained the numero uno. Her mother, Aulga, manages the home. She never showed interest in her husband’s businesses. Even though she worked with him in the initial period, after Olexia’s birth, Aulga decided to stay home and take care of the child. After their second child, Aunna, Aulga completely shut herself off from the outside world. Taurus belonged to a powerful Lycan family. For a long time, his ancestors ruled the Lycan world. They were not just lycans, but they had unbelievable powers because of which no one ever challenged them. Their Lycan clan has always been respected and feared in the Lycan world. A very long time ago, Taurus’s forefather once helped a sorcerer from the attack of the vampires. He killed the vampires and took the sorcerer to safety. He guarded him en route on his journey to the forest of magic. The sorcerer was a novice at that time. In gratitude, the sorcerer taught powerful spells as he learned more about sorcery and became one of the best sorcerers that lived at that time. The alpha passed on his knowledge of sorcery to the first son when he wolfed out. They became the unchallenged alphas of the lycans. None of the wolves ever dared to challenge them. They used their knowledge only to bring prosperity to the lycans and to create strong protection against the vampires and other dark beasts of the outside world. The current alpha was Taurus’s father, Tyson. Taurus was never interested in wolf ways, and he wanted to live among humans and lead a normal life. As he rejected to be the next alpha, Tyson decided to pass on his knowledge of magic to his younger son, Travis. Taurus left the clan and lived among humans. He climbed the business ladder slowly and soon became a business tycoon. He knew he was helped secretly by his father and brother though he never complained. Olexia was his first child after six years of marriage. Aulga and Taurus were so happy to finally have a baby. Aulga decided she would dedicate full-time to her baby and Taurus could never say no to her. Taurus hardly visited his clan as he was always busy with business. Aulga was human, and she didn’t want to visit the Lycan lair. She only visited once, and she was afraid of others as they stared at her with lust for blood. Olexia had visited her grandmother and uncle only twice. She became friends with her cousins Bella and Ayna. Bella was one year younger and Ayna was three years younger. Bella had wolfed out five months ago and Olexia wondered when she would wolf out. Maybe she never will because her mother was a human, and she might have more human genes than a wolf. “What should I wear?” Olexia asked herself when she walked out of the bathroom. She threw the bathrobe into the corner of the bed and walked towards the closet. Arez liked blue. Olexia took out a blue top and blue skirt. It was a gift from him for her nineteenth birthday. She never got any gift from him on her twentieth birthday as he was away from her in the mountains. She hoped that he would have a gift; better late than never. She selected everything blue and wore it. “My mate.” Olexia whispered with a shy smile. “Oh, my boyfriend” she corrected. She is not a wolf, yet. He is not a wolf either, as far as she knows. He is a normal human yet she thought of Arez as her mate. Her secret wolf inside her liked to call him as mate. They have known each other for a long time, since childhood. Olexia walked out of her room and walked down the stairs to the living room. At the corner of the room, she saw the dining table. She saw toast and scrambled eggs with mango juice on the table. Olexia looked at her watch. There is still time to have her breakfast. She said on the chair and started eating. Aulga came towards her from the kitchen. “Where are you going so early in the morning?” this girl never gets her a** early. “Arez is coming today. If he doesn’t see me, he will turn the railway station upside down.” Olexia said. She was so happy to see him after some time. “Eat properly before you go out. I will prepare breakfast for him too.” Aulga walked back towards the kitchen. “Thanks mom.” Should I eat now or later? Olexia thought. Arez would want her to eat with him. She stood up after having just one toast and half a glass of juice. Olexia looked at her watch again. She will reach the station before time. “Mom, I am leaving.” Olexia shouted towards the kitchen. “Tell dad I will call him later. Did Aunna go to school?” “Did you finish eating?” Aulga asked her. “I will eat later with Arez.” She ran out of the big house towards the street. Her ride came just in time. The driver was a young man. He looked at her short skirt. His eyes were enjoying her thighs. “To the railway station.” Olexia rushed inside the cab. “Please drive fast. I have to catch the train.” Olexia saw that the driver was watching her through the mirror. She noticed that his eyes were thirsty, as if he wanted to have s*x with her then and there itself. “Can you please drive looking at the street?” Olexia was getting angry. She always hated these kinds of men. Their hungry eyes irritated her. They always stared at her chest as if they were undressing her with their eyes. She cursed herself for taking a cab. She could have asked Jake to take her to the station. He would never say no. Why didn’t I call him? “You are very beautiful.” The driver said, licking his lips like a dog. “I never thought I would have such a hot girl as my first ride today.” He started flirting. “Thank you for appreciating my beauty. Now keep your f**king eyes towards the street and drive. Consider yourself lucky. But, that is the limit.” Words exploded in her mouth. Yet, the driver couldn’t resist looking at her. He wanted her even though he knew she was off his limits. Olexia wasn’t a damsel. She was beautiful by normal standards, but not extraordinarily gorgeous. Her green eyes were special. Her auburn hair blew in the wind. She had a different aura which always made her special and attractive. “Are you single?” the driver asked again. He didn’t want to miss the opportunity to talk to her and possibly lure her to his bed. “No, I have a boyfriend. He is not a person you want to mess with. So, whatever you have in your mind, keep it with yourself.” Olexia warned him in a harsh tone. “My boyfriend doesn’t like anyone to tease me and I know your cab number. I guess you want to go home in one piece.” The driver said nothing. He was silent for the rest of their journey. He silently collected the money after leaving her at the station. Olexia heard the announcement that the train was departing in a few minutes. *****-----*****
