#5 Visitors

1594 Words
The following day, I am rudely awakened by my alarm clock. I try to turn around again, going back to sleep, but my mother stops me. "Get up sweety. No time for dawdling today." I hear her say. Groaning, I get up. Harry and I stayed downstairs for far too long. Luckily, I can still say that we are best friends, and it wasn't awkward. I've been worried for nothing. My powers don't matter at all. However, I did have to promise not to read his thoughts on purpose once I got it under control. I take a quick shower to wake myself up properly. I stand in front of my wardrobe, thinking. Mom wants me to wear neat clothes for when Alpha Jeffrey arrives. She wants to receive him as a family. I am trying to understand why this is necessary; we usually don't do that when we get other visitors. But my father said something about how we look more confident as a pack. And since it's still a rival pack, that's important. I can understand that, although I wonder what the boys will wear. Most of the time they wear clothes with holes in them because they are always so wild and careless. “Maybe she kept a set of clothes aside for special occasions.” Maddow notes as I put on my outfit. I chuckle. "Yeah, knowing my mother, she did that." I answer. I look at myself in the full-length mirror. I went for a black shirt dress. The dress itself is pretty simple and has a round neck. I take my black boots with a small heel from the closet and complete my outfit with a silver belt. When drying my hair, I give it a slight curl. "Maddy? What's taking so long?" My mother asks impatiently. Before I answer, I look in the mirror again. "I'm coming." I say to my mother before I rush downstairs. When I get downstairs, I pretend not to see my mother's disapproving look and walk into the kitchen to grab breakfast. I grab a muffin from the tray and walk back to my parents. "What time is Alpha Jeffrey coming?" I ask with my mouth full. Before my parents can answer, they receive a mind link. I can see it in their eyes. I would like to know what is being said. But unfortunately, that is not one of my powers. When their eyes are back to normal, I look at them questioningly. “To answer your question, now.” My father says. I stuff the last piece of muffin in my mouth. As I checked my clothes again and quickly wiped my mouth, I see my mother doing the same to my brothers. I chuckle when I see her cleaning Aidens cheek with a wet finger. Aiden makes a face and Harvey quickly cleans his face before my mother can do it. “Alright, let's welcome him.” My father says and we walk outside. "Please Maddy, don't try to use your powers yet." My father begs me through the mind link, and I nod briefly. Maddow heard it too and promised to stop Alpha Jeffrey's thoughts. Although I wonder why my father wants that, you would think it would come in handy when an enemy comes to visit. But I don't ask questions, not yet anyway. My mother must have noticed my curiosity because I hear her thoughts loud and clear. As if they were meant for me. If we don't want to start a war, everything must be as normal as possible. We don't want to give him any reason to think we're bent on war. For the pack. I see her looking at me and I nod. She smiles briefly and puts an arm around me. Not much later, an expensive-looking car drives up. I try to look in through the windows to see who's inside. Or rather, how many people I can distinguish. The tinted windows make it difficult to see who is in the car. I hold my breath as the car comes to a stop, and the door opens. To my relief, only Alpha Jeffrey and someone else get out. I can't remember his name, but I think he's the Beta or Gamma. They walk towards us with their heads held high. I already don't like their attitude and I have to stop myself from reading their thoughts. "Alpha Jeffrey." My father says curtly and extends his hand. Alpha Jeffrey briefly shakes my father's hand and then introduces his companion. "This is my Beta, Cameron; I think you remember him." My father nods. "Naturally." My father answers shortly. "Let's go inside." My mother says and leads us inside. I look at Harvey and Aiden with raised eyebrows. Is this all? Is this why we had to go outside, for those few seconds? He didn't even look at us, as if we weren't there. My brothers and I remain stunned in the hall while our parents walk upstairs. Eventually, we went our separate ways, and I decided to go to my room. Kevin Pov. I'm balls deep in a submissive omega when I get a mind link from my father. "I'm leaving now. Make sure you're there at the end of the afternoon to carry out our plan." I sigh. "Yes, Dad, I'll be there." I answer and shut him out before he can say anything else. I try to concentrate on the girl sitting before me on her hands and knees. I grab her hips tightly and pound into her. Harder and harder, and I hold her long hair with one hand. "Ahh, yes, Kevin." She moans. I gently pull her hair and bring my lips to her ear. “It's Alpha for you!” I growl as I thrust hard into her. I feel my orgasm coming, and after a few deep thrusts, I fill her up. I slide out of her and drop onto the bed. I feel her staring at me. “Don't you have to be somewhere?” I ask after a few seconds when it looks like she has no intention of getting up. "Um, Ye... Yes Alpha. I'm sorry, Alpha." She stutters and stands up. When I turn around, she is dressing herself, and when I see her sad face, I start to feel guilty. For a brief moment, there is a moment when I want to comfort her. But I pull myself together and tell her with a straight face that she shouldn't forget to close the door behind her while I walk to the bathroom. Because that's what Alpha's do. Right? They are all brutal, heartless, mean. At least, according to my father, that's how a good Alpha behaved. And I do my best, I really do. I do my best to meet his expectations. But it's hard to pretend to be something you're not. It hurts inside whenever I must be brutal or heartless to the pack members. I have asked why it must be this way and why we must rule by fear. Why can't we interact with our pack members in a normal way? But according to my father, only the weak Alphas do that. Because they are afraid of being challenged. So, I do what anyone would do. I do what my father says, even though it hurts sometimes. One day, the day will come when I take over the pack. And when that day comes, I will do it differently. I just hope that the pack members will still want to follow me. I'm standing in the cold shower, contemplating my sins, when I hear my bedroom door close with a loud bang. I don't blame her. I would wait for my true mate if it were up to me. But as with everything, my father also has an opinion about that. He says I should take advantage of the fact that I don't have a mate yet and I'm the Alpha's son because every girl wants the attention of the Alpha. And, of course, I do what my father likes. And the bad thing about that? I'm good at it too. With a few sentences, I can wrap every girl around my finger; they are eager to join the Alpha. It's sickening. “Remember our purpose.” Keith reminded me. "Yeah, Yeah, I know. The more we show my dad that we're like him, the sooner he hands over the title, and we can run the pack the way we want." I answer. I turn off the shower and get ready to go after my dad. He has a meeting with the Alpha of the Blue Lake pack. We've been rival packs since my dad took over this pack years ago. And for as long as I can remember, he's wanted to take out the Alpha from the Blue Lake pack because he killed our former Alpha. The Alpha that my father was the Beta of. He was never able to let it go. My mother once tried to talk him out of it, but that was useless. So when he told me he had a new plan, I went along with it. I actually feel like going to that pack. I hope I left a good impression last time. Who knows, maybe I can satisfy my father even more and talk the Alpha's Daughter into bed. He would certainly be satisfied with that. And to be honest, so do I. From what I remember she was quite a catch.
