`Revenge Queen

The void.

Maxine opened her eyes to find herself in an unknown place,

."Hello?"She called,"is anybody there?"The place was void,it is like no one but her is there.

"Young lady, what's your name?"

"Aaaaaaah,my name is Maxine ..."She turned around to see who she was talking to, she saw a young lady around early forties ,"who are you?And where am i? "

The lady looked around,"here..?This place has no name,so I called it The Void. This is the space between heaven and earth,I brought you here."

"Shouldn't I be dead?"She asked.

"Yeah,you are supposed to be dead, but you can't die yet,"she said.

"Why can't I die yet?"Maxine asked.

"There is a lot that hasn't been accomplished yet and you are the only one that the ring has accepted."

Maxine looked around,"I just want to die and go in peace,this world is full of evil people with evil hearts,everyone is scheming against one another and people even stab you behind your back.Do you want me to go back to that life?"

"Do you know what they did to you?Do you know how you died?"The woman asked.

"How I died!?"She asked,her lips shaking at the last memories she had before her death,"I don't even know how I died,the only thing I remember is lying on the operation table and now,here I am."She was molested,roasted like meat and cut by knives all over, who would want to go back there? What would be the difference ,she is already wasted.

Without waiting for Maxine to say another word,like magic,a video appeared.It was the last minute of Maxine's life on the operating table,she watched as her organs were being removed and placed on a cool ice box.She knew her body had strong antibodies that could fight any disease ,virus and whatever that is harmful to the body.She turned to Maxine,"this is how you died,wasted and with no body organs,is that how you want it to end?"

"But this is what fate has for me,to have a miserable end for being a loser and trusting people so much."

"But you can change the story,your story,you can't end it just like that!"The woman said,"please, you have to go back and avenge us,you are the last one remaining,all of those who had the ability to be chosen decided to live it to the last chosen one."

Maxine was now confused,"what do you mean by the last chosen one?And chosen for what?"

"Maxine, you can't die,there is a lot of things you will have to uncover,whatever you may know for the past life is not even half way uncovered.Tell me,do you want to die without even knowing what happened before?" The woman asked."You only have one day to make your decision"

A few hours later,Maxine made her choice,"I want to go back,"her eyes were filled with malice and pure hatred,she was clenching her fist so tightly as if she could punch anything or anyone that was on her way.

"Great,we have wasted a lot of time here, you will have to back first, incase you have any questions, you will ask me after you wake up.You will be given guidance by Father Maxwell."

Before Maxine could say anything,she felt like she was suddenly falling in an endless pit,she had her worries that she couldn't voice out,she only hoped she does not start from where it stopped and with that,darkness took over.

"Maxine,Maxine,open your eyes and take the medicine,"she heard a female voice that seemed familiar.The voice seemed to be fading and at he same time it seemed close."Maxine,you are starting the high school final exams today,should we call the school?"

Final exams...Final exams!Those words brought Maxine back to her senses.High school exams,she is back to seventeen years old, this was the day she had stayed outside for six hours because of being falsely accused .

"Mother Superior,"she called out,"please don't stop me,I have to take the final exams."In her previous life she took her exams late which caused her grades to be reduced,even though she went to study for her dream career,it wasn't as good as she wanted it to be."I will do the exams."

She silently walked inside the classroom and found the rest of the students have already gathered,some were discussing while others were doing revision,Maxine went to her seat took out a random book,she checked the watch on the wall and realized there was still fifty minutes before the exams start,she crossed her hands on her desk and went to sleep

A few minutes later,she felt someone tapping her shoulders,she looked up and saw a girl who was sitting beside her trying to say something,she read the school badge on her chest,she was a student from St Louis .The schools mixed students from each school with other schools to avoid exam leakage.They took all students with even numbers during the previous exam's ranking and took them to the other schools and mixed them.

The first exam for the day was,maths,spanish essay and english literature.Maxine took all sciences,IT and business and art.The exams went forward for three weeks and the last week,the juniors wanted to go out and celebrate for completing the high school life,while others wanted to head back to their homes to park for vacations.

Maxine finished the last of her exam paper,which was physics practicals,she did not like the subject but it was a compulsory subject in the school.She walked back to the orphanage where she lived hoping not to bump into Mary on the way there,but the devil always appears when list expected,"Maxine."Mary called,smiling from ear to ear.

If it was before,she could have smiled back and appreciated the gesture,but now,"Mary..."

"Maxine,Father Maxwell needs to speak to you in his office."Mother Superior said

Maxine turned to Mother Superior and bowed to her respectfully,she was glad that Mother Superior had removed her from this situation because she had no idea if she could hold back all the anger and hatred that is rooted deep in her heart,she is back for revenge nothing else but revenge,and no one will stop.She will get rid of all those who have caused harm to her and everyone close to her,and she will get rid of anyone who has planned to get on her way.This is now her time,she will repay all the debts her enemies owed her ten times.
