The nightmare

"Oh,the guy does not stay in one place,he moves around all the time,but this is the first time he has licked someone else,"he paused and gestured towards the dog,"Hunter,I have told you a million times to stick to one place but you keep moving around.Next time I will leave you and see what you will do,"the dog let out a daring bark as it walked towards the man.The man squatted and knelt on one knee to hug the dog as his palm rubbed it's back,"how about I invite you for a coffee to express my gratitude?"He asked while still rubbing the dog.After a few minutes, he realized there was no reply so he looked up but saw the place where the girl was standing a while ago,was now empty.She was already gone.

He stood up with the dog's leash in his hands,crossed the road to the other side and headed towards the direction where Maxine had come from.His villa was right next to Maxine's villa.After he got in, he looked towards the coach where two people were waiting for him.

"When will you learn to lock your house?One of the men said

"If I lock the gate, do you think you will get the chance to drink my whiskey and sit comfortably on my coach?"He replied with his own question.

"Come on Scott,at least you should be thanking me for my efforts!"He said,his hands were in his pockets as if searching for something.He frowned as he searched his right pocket,"where is it?"he asked,more to himself.

"Are you talking about that,Max?"The other man said pointing at a small box on the table.

"Yeah,right,"he took the box from the table and handed it over to the man,"Scott,this pills are different from the others,you said you have been having insomnia,but the other pills don't react.So I asked Jade to try and make the pills stronger.They are yet to taste this pills on any human,so we still don't know any side effects but she assured me that it is just a sleeping pill and will not cause any harm."

"Okay,give it to me."Scott said."Kane,why are you here?"

"I came to see Hunter,"he paused for a while, then said,"and for a sleepover at your house,"his hands was scratching the back of his head in embarrassment .

"No,'Scott replied.

"Come on!Ever since we came back my mum has been nagging me with blind dates,it's really pissing me off!"Kane sounded frustrated.He knew Scott was also being pressured that's why he hasn't reported to his parents that he was back.

"One night!"Was all Scott said before heading to the stairs.

"Can I also stay?"Max shouted,"I am so lonely at my apartment,I need company."He waited for a reply but did not get one.He was not disappointed because Scott did not agree or deny,which was good,"I am heading In the kitchen for a beer, do you need some?"He asked Kane.

"Bring more than a dozen,"he replied.

At Harvard University, after Maxine made all that fuss in the morning,she started becoming famous.When the evening lectures were over,people started discussing about her as she passed through the groups of students who had lined up across the way."Hey!"She heard someone calling her.She stopped and turned to see a blonde guy running towards her,and behind him, were three other boys trying to keep up with his pace,"Hi,I saw you in class in the morning and thought you were so cool,I didn't know we would have the same class in the evening."

"Okay.Do you need something from me?"She looked at the four guys,trying to remember whether she had any grudge with them in her past life,but nothing came in mind.

"I am Calister,you can call me Cali,"he turned to look at the boys behind him and pointed to the guy on his right,this Mack,the other is John and the one on the left is Eric."He turned to look at Maxine not saying anything more.

Maxine looked at her phone and then lifted her head with a face full of impatience and said,"okay,"then she turned around and left.

Cali was speechless,he stared at the direction where Maxine was heading to like a statue,never. in his life had he ever been ignored like that,"Cali,do you think she had you?"John asked.

"Maybe she didn't,"Eric replied,"because if she did,she wouldn't have ignored him."

"Let's go," Calister said.

Maxine only thought of revenging those who had used,abused and bullied her in her previous life that she had no idea making friends with anyone,"Maxine!"

Maxine's mind shifted to the ring,"what is it Pin?"

"You need to get closer to that man,"Pin said.

"Why?"Maxine asked,"you know I don't need any friend!"

"Trust me,you have to get closer to him."Pin said,and then shut down the connection without waiting for a word from Maxine.

Maxine sighed frustratedly, making friends was the last thing she wanted,"urgh!"She stomped her foot on the ground,and continued walking,she was not planning to go back to the villa,even though she knew there were people waiting for there.She raised her hand to stop a taxi and then got.She shared the location with the driver and the continued browsing her phone.

"Miss,I can see you are still a student,why don't you live in the university?You know that place you are living is very dangerous."the driver said.

"Don't worry, I am also dangerous,"Maxine replied.

The man sighed and watched Maxine from the front mirror,realizing that she did not want to say much, he stopped caring and continued focusing on the road

While still focusing on her phone,Maxine started dozing off, she had slept a little late last night after she had come back from the club, but it is not that easy for her to feel this sleepy.

Maxine was in a car,she had no idea where it was heading to but she could see Jessy driving.She became confused,'was I not in a taxi?How did Jessy suddenly become the driver?'She wondered.Suddenly,she started having a gutsy feeling,like something bad was going happen.She saw Jessy turning around and smiling at her, saying something about clothes,then a brightening light came from the other side, causing a panic from Jessy. the car started to loose control and just when they gained back focus and started to relax, their car was hit and the next thing she saw was them rolling,and when the car stopped flipping,they started struggling to come out.They could smell the fuel that was licking from the car,they struggled so hard but they could not move.Maxine saw a someone coming out from a truck and pointing the gun at her.She tried to see the man's face but the man had no facial features,she only saw the man changing the direction of the gun and pointing it at the car trunk and pulled the trigger.

"Maxine,Maxine!"She heard a voice coming from her head calling,as she regained her consciousness,the voice said,"wake up,you are in trouble!"
