Introduce Thyself (2)

Twenty-two: Introduce Thyself (2) Seeing how she fixed her glasses, Kronos felt some sort of chuunibyou energy coming from Kallen that he could not help but to felt amused. At the very least, there was something that reminded him of the world he was living in his past life.  "Miss Kallen, you'll be our hope during quizzes and exams!" Asisi laughed.  And as expected from such personality Kallen showed off, she looked at Asisi as if she was about to murder him and replied in a stern tone of voice. "No. Study hard! Such negligence is unacceptable!" Astian, on the other hand, looked at Kronos and explained something about Demons with his usual warm tone of voice. "Demons are like humans! They have the same growth stage, unlike other Genus, which is why she's fourteen." "Mn." And as usual, Kronos merely nodded as if absorbing the information abruptly.  When Astian was talking to him, Sir Samael was reading out aloud Kallen's remarks at the same time that was why he did not have the chance to hear him and was then immediately done with Kallen's introduction. Well, not that it matters.  After a moment of checking the following paper, Sir Samael then looked at the class and announced.  "Alright then, the ladies were already introduced. Time for the lads!" "The first lad would be Acevedo!" Sir Samael announced with the same serious expression on his face. When he saw that the lad who had the gal to call him Papa all over again was the Acevedo, Sir Samael glared at the lad as he was cursing him under his breath.  The lad seemed to find his teacher funny that he snickered at him before looking at everyone and spreading both of his arms as if embracing the whole classroom with an energetic expression and tone of voice. "Hello! Hello! Hello! I'm Asisi Acevedo, and I'm a Demon! Pretty cool, right? Look at my fangs! I'm fourteen, by the way! Let's all be friends!" Like stated on the 'Book of Genus,' Demons were the one who made the powerless humans as a slave. They then were followed by the other Genus. Thus, the Demons were naturally the least friendly towards the other Genus as they were said to be neglected by the Heavenly Emperor and chose to side with the humans. Moreover, they demand superiority amongst others. Regardless of what the book says, the Demons who had the mindset of an ancient already passed away, and the only Demons left were the ones who desire peace. As for Asisi…  Asisi was very friendly for a Demon. Shortly after Asisi had his introduction, Sir Samael then cleared his throat and read aloud his parent's remarks with his usual straight face. "Ahem. Asisi's extra hyper. He will be in your care, and please handle him well. Thank you, and we will compensate each one of you too. That is what his parents said." "That means my mother and father could not handle me! The reason why I'm sent to this Academy… but it's fun because I have twelve friends!" Asisi also made a remark of himself with a smile.  The words he said obviously contradicted with the way he delivered it in front of the class with the same energy and friendliness. One could not even know whether to took pity or to act like nothing's strange.  However, they absolutely knew what the poor lad wanted to hear at the moment. "Asisi." "Yes, Aeria?" Asisi perked up as if wagging his tail in front to attract attention. Seeing his reaction, Aeria smiled with a sigh at first. How could they took pity on someone who's trying his very best to fit in and not to be abandoned?  After a moment of pondering, Aeria raised a thumbs up and smiled. "Continue spreading positive vibes up until the end. We will be in your care too." Everyone in the class also smiled except for those who really were not fond of smiling; However, shared the same feelings. Even the glaring teacher softened his expression just to blend in with the class. It was a good thing that Asisi was good at catching up that his eyes sparkled before stretching into a broad smile as he was also suppressing a tear to fell. "Of course!" Never in his life that could someone handle him that easily. Exi was impressive.  "Alright, next! Aviles!" Sir Samael announced. With that being said, a considerable noise at the back suddenly startled everyone just to witness a struggling lad with getting out of the chair. When they saw the lad the first time, everyone assumed that he was merely a big lad. However, when the latter stood up, he was seriously big like a beast.  But one thing was odd. And that was when they saw the lad's face. It was red as a tomato with eyes averting everyone's gaze.  It was a weird sight. To have a big lad that would be able to intimidate others with just standing in front of them being a soft boy and all.  His walk was even slow as if he was walking on a block of thin ice that some of the class could not help but to find it cute. When the big lad arrived at the front and slowly looked at his classmates, he then flushed and uttered his introduction abruptly. "Uhh… Hello. My name is Yohan Aviles, I'm a Lycan, and I'm ninety-eight. I-I don't harm anyone, and I am completely harmless! I-I don't also go berserk…. And uh… when I go berserk... I-in case of emergency…. Don't worry about make and use your potential!!" His face was red paired up with an anxious look. And he was waving his hands as if it would be the key for them to believe him. Of course, who would be not anxious? The Lycanthropes are the Genus that was one with nature. They were firstly secluded by the other Genus because of the fact that they hold a blood of an animal. They were alright with it, living in an isolated life away from other Genus, but they could still could not change the fact that having human blood mixed in theirs would also affect their food preferences. They could not eat raw foods and were definitely not skilled with cooking. And when a human can upon their village and cooked for them some human food, they then started to side with the human and learned their lifestyle. However, with the Lycan's nature to act like a beast at some point, they then tried to distance themselves from the human as they were afraid that they could harm them.  But when the humans possessed potential, the Lycan interacted with them again with the thought that they could now protect themselves from them. From being an ally to the humans at the rebellion period up until the current date, the Lycan and the Humans were best friends. And Yohan, who was the strongest of their clan, was also the softest of them all. That was why Yohan could not help but to get anxious.  But of course, the Exi class was different from others. They do not think that their potential would be an advantage to them. Rather, "It's alright, Yohan, we believe in you." With that being said, Yohan then halted as he abruptly looked at the carefree look of his classmates before he finally heaved a sigh of relief and smiled. "Th-thank… Thank you! Please take care of me!" Kronos, on the other hand, was somewhat bewildered by Yohan's introduction. Was he really ninety-eight, or he just had a slip of the tongue? More importantly, was ninety-eight the most considerable number among the class?  He wanted to know, so of course, he looked at Astian and asked. "Oldest?" Hearing this, Astian then immediately turned his gaze towards Kronos and smiled warmly before shaking his head. If it's a no from Astian, then there's still an old man hanging in their class? Was that it? Astian seemed to know what Kronos was thinking that he chuckled and explained the situation. "Well, Lycan's are quite different too! Since they turn into different creatures, Lycans only show signs of growth after every seven years! And if you divide Yohan's age by seven, it means that he's basically fourteen years old." With the yet another explanation from Astian, Kronos felt like he was a kindergarten who was being supervised by a working student in the daycare. Seriously, if he could kick Skia's ass for not educating him beforehand, he would.  But of course, he should give his thanks to Astian first. "Thanks."  "No problem, I am happy to help~" Astian smiled.  The next thing Kronos heard was the plucking of paper and the loud voice of Sir Samael as he announced the next person to introduce themselves. "Let us hear from Azvameth!" With that being said, Astian beamed as he looked at Kronos how stood up as soon as his family name was called. The other students also looked at him as they were curious about the other silent student. Of course, it would pique their interest for someone having such mysterious vibes and everything.  On top of that, he hasn't even spoken a word ever since he got inside the class. Does he have a tiny voice or a deep one? More importantly, how on earth would be his introduction feels like?  "..." "..." "... Kronos." At first, everyone was anticipating. And when they heard the only word he spoke, they were dumb stricken at first, and then, later on, the class started to laugh. Meanwhile, Astian buried his face on the desk as he was also expecting for Kronos to at least have a simple introduction with curse a few. However, it was none other than 'Kronos.'  "What the hell was that? HAHAHA!" Asisi laughed as he clapped like a seal.  Right! What the hell was that? That should not be counted as an introduction! Well, Kronos expected it anyway. So he just stood there and looked at them with a blank face.  Even the serious expression of Sir Samael broke as he was also suppressing a laugh when skimming through the remarks to distract himself. However, when he found out why, he still was repressing a laugh because it was just way too funny. "Well, even though he looked well, Kronos could not speak as much as he wished to because he has some strong curse." "What curse, Papa?" One student asked as the laughter also toned down. Hearing this, Sir Samael cleared his throat and replied. "It is stated that the curse was that he would swear every time he speaks." With that being said, the class became curious and intrigued by the said curse that they abruptly stopped chuckling and looked at Kronos with the usual expression they had.  "What? Do you really have a curse? Although I could not see.." One lad said as he squinted his eyes. The other students followed him that made Kronos to feel uncomfortable. It's happening again. This happened before with Kronos' parents. And at times like those, he was undeniably prepared.  And that was to call his familiar. 'Skia.'  "At your service, master." Skia seemed to know the situation that he abruptly popped out and bowed before going behind Kronos and showing off his menacing aura to the class. And so it looked like there was a strong curse clinging around Kronos everywhere. Moreover, his classmates had the same reaction as his parents, so Kronos thought that it was a job well done. "Ahh!!! I can see it! I can see it! It's so sinister! My God, are you okay, Kronos?" "Fine," Kronos replied nonchalantly.  Hearing his response, the class looked at each other as if guilty for laughing earlier. And then, even before Kronos could utter another word, a wave of concern and motivational words flooded him in a snap.  "You know, Kronos, I think it's fine for you to speak up. If you will swear at us, then we would just ignore it since we know about your curse." "Yeah! He's right! Speak more." "Be comfortable with us, Kronos. Since you will be working with us for four years." Well, if they insist on hearing him swear, then it's not a problem. That way, he could also talk just fine without holding back.  Hence, after pondering for a moment, Kronos nodded and replied to them. "Alright."  The one-word response made their faces beam as Sir Samael also looked at him to recommend something. "Would you be willing to introduce yourself again?" Kronos, "Yes." Sir Samael, "Then as you should." Now, how on earth would his introduction feel like? "Greetings. My f*****g name is Kronos Azvameth. I'm a f*****g human, and I'm f*****g thirteen years old. I don't know why the f**k you all want to f*****g hear me talk, but whatever floats your shit." Kronos Azvameth, the lad with the so-called curse, spoke nonchalantly.  "What…" It was then like a deja vu for Kronos. Silence enveloped the whole class before a burst of laughter broke it.  "I only heard the word f**k HAHAHAHA!" Asisi laughed.  The other also commented on how he did on his introduction, but the one that fell silent the most was the lady with a very bad temper. And that sole lady was still starstruck that she unconsciously called Kronos. "Uhm… Kronos."
