Becoming the Alpha Queen

Chapter 1 - Madison

The Midnight Rose Pack was absolutely beautiful. It was in the middle of rolling hills and surrounded by forest, it was well hidden but as soon as you found it it opened into a beautiful town. It rained a lot, and the sun didn't come out very often, but it managed to give it an ethereal look. As we passed through the gates, we were escorted to the main pack house where the Beta Samuel met us. He was a handsome man and he had a beautiful mate who he explained was one of the warrior trainers. I could tell how much he cared about her based on the way he spoke about her, his voice was completely filled with pride at the very mention of her. He lead us to the Alpha's office and we were greeted by an extremely beautiful woman who we learned was the Luna Violet. The Alpha was a good looking man, and very imposing. Despite his strong aura he had kind eyes and a gentle smile. I was instantly at ease around the leaders of the pack. They reminded me of my pack and I felt a small tug at my heart of sadness, Jacob put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring squeeze, feeling my emotions.

We learned that Jacob and John would be starting at the pack hospital in a couple of days, and I'd be starting at the high school. I had no issues with this as I loved school, and I knew it was the best way to integrate into the pack. We received our training schedules, we all had to demonstrate our skills and then we'd be placed in the appropriate training classes. Alpha Scott told us that we could wait until we settled or we could start training whenever we were ready. We all agreed that we were going to start tomorrow, John and Jacob wouldn't take as much training as me as they would be busy in the hospital and their roles were not to fight, but to heal. I on the other hand was expected to train daily as was customary and I had no problems with that. We were then shown to our house, which wasn't that far from the main pack house. It was a midsized log cabin style house that was beautifully decorated. I could tell that the pack took great pride in making sure the pack was well respected and cared for.

It didn't take long for John, Jacob and I to settle into the pack and for me to feel like their family. I missed my parents daily, but both men did everything in their power to keep me happy. They were absolutely incredible, both were extremely smart, and as kind as Luna Allison. I enjoyed getting to know more about them, and I definitely felt like their daughter. The next couple of days seemed to fly by, between training and preparing for school. I was placed in the advanced young warriors training group which made both Sapphire and I extremely happy. We had worked extremely hard at our old pack and wanted to prove ourselves here, I was about mid-range in skills and I learned something new every day. Before I knew it, it was my first day at my new school.

"We got this." Sapphire told me as we got ready for our first day. I had met some of the other wolves I've be going to school while I was training and one of the girls Meredith and I had become fast friends. She was going to pick me up to take me to school and I was glad I had a friend to show up with. I was pleased with the way I looked when I checked myself out in the mirror. I had chosen a pair of dark wash blue jeans and paired it with an emerald green top that made my eyes pop. I had unique eyes, one was emerald green and the other sapphire blue, but Sapphire was able to make my eyes the same colour and we often went with emerald, as they were the same colour as my biological mothers. My mid length brown hair was left natural, in loose curls down my back, and I had kept my makeup light and neutral.

I made my way downstairs and gave both John and Jacob a kiss on the cheek, smiling at my adoptive parents. They had made eggs and toast with fruit for breakfast and we all sat down to enjoy before we had to head out. I knew both men were looking forward to starting their jobs at the hospital and the pack was really looking forward to have two highly trained doctors taking over the care of the pack members.

"Meredith is picking me up, I'll clean up." I told the two men and they smiled at me before giving me a hug before leaving. I quickly cleaned up the kitchen and grabbed my bag before making my way out to Meredith's car. She gave me a grin as I climbed in and we headed off to the high school. We chatted on the way and I loved listening to her English accent, and she made fun of me for my Canadian one. When we arrived we were met by a few of the other people I had made friends with from warrior training and we all walked into the school together.
