Jade Wolf

1080 Words
*LANA* I couldn't sleep at all for it had nearly been two days since my best friend went missing. Everyone else was knocked out cold but I stayed up conversing with my wolf about what we should do. It was early morning now and I was mentally drained from planning with Kimi all night. I laid down hoping to get some rest and after a while I dozed off, just to be woken up out of sleep by people yelling outside the window. I knew I should've shut that. I got up just to start pacing back and forth now thinking of more ways to do things. My wolf kept telling me it was time I told Augustus the truth about me and how I can possibly be connected to Malador awakening. I didn't want to think about that. My best friend was kidnapped by someone and nobody knows who. The whole Kingdom is in a roar as everyone is still looking for her. After finding out she is the Yōso-tekina Sonzai or as everyone keep calling her the Phoenix Wolf, nobody has rested since. They are all afraid they have missed an opportunity. I shake my head at them, ashamed to be a part of a Kingdom that only thinks about their own wellbeing. I left the search yesterday to do my own searching. That's when I was hit with a vision. I saw blood everywhere the blood filled the dirt causing it to look red in color from it's natural brown color I looked up to see Edrea fighting a wolf His fur was black a night but a blue energy surrounded him never weavering from his side as I fought to get to the center of the fight I saw a glimpse of his face "Malador" I said in a whisper not knowing how I knew it was him He looked at me and smirked My heart sank and with all of me I was desperate to stop the fight but I didn't know how. Then the scene changed to a old hag laughing wickedly, waiting to strike. That's when I came to, with a throbbing headache that made me fall to my knees. I didn't know what it meant but I knew I needed to be there before Edrea killed Malador or worse, she's killed. I was confused but one thing was clear. I needed to stop the fight. I don't know how to feel between my best friend and an evil wolf Wizard who's possibly my mate but wanted to destroy the whole Kingdom. I signed in defeat. Though I'm sure I would choose my best friend and thousands of innocent lives even if it meant I'd lose out on my Mate. "The earlier you say something the less confusing you will cause" My wolf whispered like someone could hear her speak. "I know I have to say something to change the future because it's not set in stone yet." That much I did pick up from the rest of the vision. It showed me two options, tell them now.. gain a sense of understanding. Tell later.. all war will break loose. I guess I had no choice... I ran out of the room in my silk PJs and robe but I didn't care, I was eager to get to Augustus!! --------------------------- *AUGUSTUS* I was in my office looking through some old files and books that told about the Hybrid King. I was frustrated beyond means because every battle he has been in, he has won... I rubbed my fingers through my hair and stood up, ready to throw everything out the window. This hybrid has my Edrea, my kitten, I can feel it in my bones. A knock came at the door and I welcomed whoever was behind it in. My Mate's best friend Lana came in to my surprise but she seemed rather flustered. She opened and closed her mouth and I knew she was struggling with what she needed to say. "It's ok, Lana. Whatever you need to say .. " I said slowly, gesturing her towards the couch but she shook her head violently. Not wanting to sit. "I will listen and not get mad." I assured her. Now noticing the attire she was wearing. "I'm afraid that I might be a part of releasing Malador." She looked me in my eyes and I couldn't help but step back. "Are you ok?" She reached out but stopped midway. "How? and what do you know about Malador?" I didn't know how to feel about that name. He was the reason the packs needed the phoenix wolf in the first place. The Alphas of the packs made sure we all knew who the enemy was. "Well I know that the prophecy says that a Jade wolf is supposed to open the cage that keeps Malador locked away." She stated "Ok, what does that have to do with you?" I looked at her confused and she returned the look. My eyes grow wide at the possibility that she knew who the Jade wolf was. "Do you know who the Jade wolf is?" I grabbed her arms and she became stiff "I.. I" She studders and I immediately realize I might be hurting her. I let her go and apologized. "It's ok, you didn't hurt me, just caught me off guard. I've been a little on edge lately." She admitted I nodded my head in understanding because everyone been on edge. With everything going on, I've been on edge myself. I stepped back to my desk, leaning up against it. Hoping she continues with what she wanted to say. "I am the Jade Wolf" She stepped forward with much more confidence than she was just displaying. I stood there with my mouth open feeling my heart thump out of my chest. "You're the Jade wolf?" I held my hand to my chest, and she nodded. I couldn't believe I didn't know, I'm the next alpha in line. I need to know what and who is in this pack. I was furious with my father not telling me about her. I stormed off towards his hospital room, leaving Lana standing there confused. I entered his room but he wasn't there. I turned to find a nurse or the head doctor to tell me where my father is. I was able to stop two nurses and they told me he was moved to his room yesterday. Perfect.
