*King Barot ( The Hybrid Bear King )*
I was eating breakfast when a guard walked in announcing I have guess who claims they have a message for me. This better be from that damn she wolf telling me she has done what I've asked of her or I'm going to take war on their tiny pack.
"Let them in" I say with calmness, shocking myself with how calm I sound with this storm in me.
"Yes, my King" He bows and leaves out the door for a few seconds. I can smell two wolves one omega and the other delta warrior and my face hardened. I instantly knew she failed me. My assistant returns with two men no older than my beautiful Edrea.
"Sir, we come with a message" The one with dirty blonde hair says. As the other with dark brown hair stays quiet as I can tell he is shaking to his knees. Even with his size, he is still afraid.
"Names" I demand
"I don't"
"I'm Marco, This is Ron" The shaking wolf cut the other one off. The one named Ron glared at him.
"Don't be mad at him. I would've found out one way or another." I grinned wickedly. They both gulped "Now, tell me this message Marco and leave nothing out." I directly looked at Marco and he backed away but quickly gained control of himself.
"She sent me with a message letting you know that plan A had failed" He paused giving me time to react but I already knew she wouldn't have succeeded. Though I was curious in how it went, so I decided to ask
"Why?" I simply said. Wanting to hide my curiosity.
"She landed in the hospital after leaving for training" The omega Ron stated. I turned to Ron feeling like he knows more about what happened.
"Ron, care to fill in the blanks on why I don't have what I asked for." He swallowed hard. I can tell he was thinking back on the events.
Having the power to read into the past has given me the advantage of knowing who knows what. My bear says it will get better after we meet our True Mate. As King of the Bears and a hybrid. I live ten times as long as any other species other than Vampires, Fairies, and Special wolves, with special abilities.
If one who is special meets someone who is not. Then we are able to give our Mates just as many years as we have but... as King of Bears. I get no Mate because we are cursed. As so was told.
We are cursed because my ancestors killed the Mate of my uncle. She was a Vampire and he loved her with all his heart. They planned on running away with each other but were caught by the guards. My uncle was not allowed to leave his duties as the second in command and definitely not with an abomination such as his mate. They locked him in a cage forcing him to watch as they shackled her and burned her in the sunlight.
I remember as a kid I snuck into a room that had allowed me to see the whole thing. I shook my head at the people laughing and watching her body go up in flames. They cheered and celebrated the death of my uncle's mate as he cried in agony at his loss.
Before we knew it, he shifted into his wolf and ran off. Only returning a few days later when an army of vampires. He killed all the Royals and half of the kingdom, sparing no one as he remembered their laughs and how they celebrated killing his loving mate. He got to me as I hid in one of the safe spots but he knew every crack and cranny around this castle.
He opened the hatch and I immediately attacked him, putting a large gash into his chest. He winced at the pain and the men next to him grabbed me. He laughed as he removed his hand from his chest allowing me to see the gash heal up immediately. My eyes widen at the scene before me.
"Wondering how I heal so fast. " he laughed "Well before this disgusting family killed my mate. We had already mated and marked each other. I loved her" He said as tears filled his eyes but quickly fixed his poster. "I will let you live for the sake of the kingdom under one condition. If one chooses to love another that is not of their kind. You shall let them live." He pointed at me and all I did was nod my head.
...But it didn't end there, a woman walked around him with tears staining her face. She grabbed my face into her hands before speaking these words
"For as long as your blood line lives,
you will have no love to give.
You will live thousands of years
with no warmth to feel
Until one of you accepts a different kind
Your kingdom will not shine

And with that I have been cursed with loveless acts, I f**k woman shamelessly and death follows me every where I go. I have lived for thousands of years and though the people of my kingdom come and go. I remain immortal with this curse, with no one to possibly love me. Until I came across little Edrea two years ago.
I instantly was drawn to her as she passed me by. "Mate" my bear growled in my head. I stared at her as she was oblivious to her surroundings but her Alpha at the time said she was not of age yet. I decided to make a contract with him, allowing me to take her in two years time, not caring how it looked. I was a ruthless king and Edrea made my heart flutter, I didn't know what this Mate bond held at the time but I was ambitious to find out.
I was snapped back to reality when Ron decided to finally speak. What he told me next had me falling more in love with my beautiful butterfly. If only they knew the depths of her power.
"Flora was invoking Edrea to get mad so she could fight her and they would team up on her. Knocking her out and leaving her there. Leaving your Men to grab her, making it look like she ran away from all the bullying." I was shocked he knew all this, now starting to wonder if he was a part of it but I allowed him to carry on. "What Flora or any of us didn't expect was for Edrea to be a damn good fight and knock Flora clean into a tree causing it to split." I smiled at the news.
They looked at me confused but I could care less. Hearing my little flower knocked an Alpha Wolf out only confirms how powerful she is. I knew something more was to her than what meets the eye. I laughed causing them to jump.
"Tell me Marco, What else did Flora say?" I was amused at this point.
"She said plan B is in action. You got an invitation, use it" I jumped from my chair, causing them to jump and whimper back.
"Leave me, I have somewhere I need to be" With that they left my office. Well more like ran out but I paid them no mind as I made my way to my room to get ready. I told them to get the car ready because we are leaving ...
