Maya returned home shattered, she thought nothing could hurt her more than Ryan betraying her months ago but this tops everything.

Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined Ryan and Georgia ever hurting her like this, Georgia was practically family to her.

She knew she needed to get back at them but she couldn’t do that, with the money Ryan has now, getting back at him would be a very foolish thing to do.

Seeing her children, she smiled grateful for the beautiful blessings she got out of her scam marriage.

Nathaniel and Natalie were her world now and she has to prioritize their future over any revenge plans she had in mind.

She arrived at her office the next day and found people staring at her funny. She wondered what was happening but no one was willing to give her answers.

She tried her best not to ponder too much on it but it wasn’t easy.

"The big boss wants to see you” her boss announced upon entering her office.

This sent a chill down her spine, the big boss never required to see anyone except the other bosses in the company. What on earth was going on?

Maya arrived at the big boss office and was scared to her bones when she saw all the bosses in his office.

"Good day sirs” Maya greeted nervously.

"What is good about the day you useless spy?” The big boss thundered and Maya became more afraid. What was he talking about?.

"Sorry sir, I don’t understand what you mean” she replied stuttering.

"You don’t understand that you are working with my competitor company and giving them information about my company. You are a spy and I will so deal with you” the big boss continued shouting in anger.

Maya was so scared, she knew nothing of what he was talking about. Why would he call her a spy? All her years in the company, she had served effectively, she would never do anything like that.

She tried pleading her case but the big boss was unwilling to listen. He wanted her out of the company and he also wanted her punished for her actions.

"I’m going to fire you and blacklist you so you never get a job in any respectable company. You are also going to pay for damages and you will be out of the house you live because it belongs to the company. Felix make sure she leaves with nothing include the car” he commanded and Maya dropped to her knees.

"Please sir, please big boss. I need this job, the life of my kids depend on this job” Maya pleaded sobbing but the big boss was unforgiving.

"You should have thought of that before trying to double cross me. Now you will know why nobody dares me” the big boss replied arrogantly and ordered Maya arrested.

Maya spent the next few hours settling the company’s lawsuit against her which made her empty her account leaving her with no money in her bank account.

She was devastated beyond words, she couldn’t understand what was happening, why will the big boss think she was a spy?. She contacted one of her ex colleagues who told her that some implicating conversations were found on her system. She was being set up and the only people who could do that to her were Ryan and Georgia.

She rushed to the nearest ATM to withdraw some of the money she had in her saving account. Over the years, she had been able to save millions in the account for the future of her family.

She was stunned when she found the account empty then suddenly remembered that Ryan was also a signatory to the account. He had so much money already why steal hers?.

Maya sat on the floor crying confused how she and her kids were going to survive from now on.

Her neighbor Agatha who saw her things and that of her kids being thrown out was kind enough to allow them stay in her place.

Young Nathaniel didn’t understand what was happening and kept on asking his mom questions, questions she couldn’t bring herself to answer.

Maya started searching for a job the next day but the big boss made good on his promise to blacklist her so no company was interested in hiring her.

She finally settled for a sales attendant at a supermarket after an unsuccessful attempt at job hunting for months.

After two months of working there, she was framed for theft and fired.

She thought that day couldn’t get worse until she arrived home and Agatha announced to her that she couldn’t stay in her place anymore because her fiancé threatened to call off their engagement if Maya and her kids continued to stay with her. Reason being that he had been receiving calls and threats about them helping Maya and didn’t want to get in trouble.

Maya couldn’t understand why Ryan and Georgia were out to ruin her life. She was the one who was fooled and lied to but she was the one still suffering. What hurt her more was that Ryan didn’t even care that his children were suffering too.

Maya pleaded with Agatha to give her time and Agatha discussed it with her boyfriend and they promised to give her a week to find somewhere else to live.

Agatha felt so sorry for Maya and her children, Maya has always been nice to her and didn’t deserve all that was happening to her but she had no choice, she couldn’t afford to lose her fiancé. She had wanted to get married for the longest time now.

She helped Maya with some money to get her a place, Maya was really grateful for her kindness and thanked her for helping her and her children.

Putting most of her clothes and jewelries for sale, she was able to make some money which she could use to get a reasonable house in a ghetto neighborhood for her and her kids and was also able to afford some comfortable furnishings and groceries.

She was suffering so much but she kept on drawing strength from her kids. As long as she had them, she had to be strong and do anything she can for them.
