Chapter Three: The first meeting (II)

Lucas sat in the car emitting a very chilling aura. Aiden was driving and he appeared to be completely unbothered.

“Bro, how long will you sulk for? I'm doing you a favor right now”

“A favor by kidnapping me out of my office? If that's it, I'd rather not be a beneficiary.” Lucas retorted.

“Kidnapping???” Aiden sounds horrified “How could you use such a strong word on me??? Do you even consider me your friend??!” He made his tone even more aggrieved.

Lucas was about to refute him when a woman hopping around suddenly appeared in front of the car.

Aiden took notice and quickly maneuvered the car in another direction.

Screech!!!!!

His car hit a wall.

He came out of the car looking as though he just saw a ghost.

“My car!!!!!!!!” he wailed “That was my favorite Lamborghini and it was a limited edition”

Lucas calmly came out of the car.

Thankfully the impact of the collision was not enough to get them injured.

He lifted his eyes and saw the girl who was playing around in front of the hospital.

Mia saw the car coming and tried to leave the road quickly but she ended up falling down.

Adrianna went to help her up, she sighed when she saw the damaged car.

She made sure Mia was okay, then walked towards Lucas and Aiden

“I'm very sorry for the damage we caused “Her voice shook slightly “ I would have loved to reimburse you for the damages, but I know I will never be able to afford it in this lifetime.”

“Yes, you'll never be able to pay for it!!!! You can't just get this car with money, you need to have lots of connections too.” Aiden was feeling very sad. After all, he had to wait for months before he could book a slot, and even more before he could get the car.

“ It's all my fault if only I wasn't playing on the road, this would never have happened “ Mia approached with her wounded ankle, her voice arriving before her body.

Aiden could not help but feel lost when he saw Mia. He had seen a lot of beauty in his life, but that was the first time he saw someone with that kind of innocent beauty that made him want to bully her.

Lucas looked at Aiden's stupid expression and sighed. Seems like he has to take matters into his own hands.

“ Uhmm Miss, I think you sprained your ankle how about you go back to the hospital and get treated?!” He asked politely.

Adriana finally noticed the man leaning on the car.

That eyes

They seem to suck her in.

He looked as if he was specially crafted by the gods, no, as if.…… he was a god himself.

“Adrianna, Adrianna!!!!” She was jolted out of her fantasies by Mia.

She threw Mia a confused look.

“I said we should take to his suggestion and go treat my ankle. After all, we are still in front of the hospital.” Mia gave her a dirty look and explained.

“Ooh okay, let's go now” Adriana spoke incoherently “ Bye and thanks” she shouted and fled with Mia asking her to slow down

Lucas looked at her for a while then averted his gaze.

Aiden got over his restlessness and shouted “What am I going to do now??!!!”

Lucas shot him a dirty look as if saying “ I never asked you to bring me out so keep me out of this.”

He called his assistant and made him come pick him up.

Ryan arrived and greeted the two of them.

Aiden wanted to enter the car but Lucas directly dragged him out saying coldly “Next time if I ask you to let me be, you won't consider it twice before leaving me alone.”

He got into the car and made Ryan drive off.

Aiden felt very aggrieved but didn't know how to vent it.

He kicked his car a few times and ran his hands over his head.

“ How could he just abandon me here??! How could he be so heartless??!!” He muttered out of annoyance.

He thought for a while and realizing he had no other way, decided to call his grandfather for help. He was about to dial the number when a familiar voice sounded behind him “Are you stranded??!”

Aiden turned around and saw that it was Mia and Adrianna.

“ Why are you guys back??!” he was shocked to see them so he just blurted out what was on his mind.

Mia chuckled lightly and replied, “ How can we bear to leave knowing we made you lose your mode of transport??!”

Aiden felt warm immediately. He felt like all the grievances he had suffered were finally worth it.

Aiden looked at Adrianna and saw her eyes moving around seemingly looking for something or someone. “He left already.”

“Huh??!” Adrianna said, confused.

“You were looking for my friend, right?

He already left.” Adrianna felt her face and ears go red immediately.

“Wh….what are you talking about?? I wasn't looking for him” She tried to defend herself and her voice got lower and lower till it was barely audible in the end.

Aiden just gave an evil smirk knowing she was in denial.

Aiden called one of his friends to take his car away then he rode with the girls in a taxi. And he made sure he got their contacts before they parted ways.
