‘Sheet! He's a weird fellow. I've been laying here for what feels like hours, and he doesn't even care to check if I fled last night after he left my room.’ Bella thought as her toes flickered under the blanket.
Then she pouted before opening her eyes. But she quickly squeezed her eyelids shut when the sunlight shone on her face.
“How long have I been in bed for?” Bella mumbled, turning her head to the left to avoid the sunlight.
After waiting for a few seconds, Bella threw the bedspread off her and got out of bed.
“Ahh! It's almost noon.” She cried when her sight caught a glimpse of the time on the wall clock.
At that moment, her stomach growled, and the feeling of hunger caused Bella to rush out of the room to look for food.
After searching around for a while and losing her way countless times, she finally arrived in the dining room, and when she saw Neron sitting at the table, having a feast, her anger rose along with her hunger.
“Good morning.” Neron casually said before biting into his chicken.
With mad eyes, Bella swallowed down her spit and licked her lip. Then she marched towards Neron.
However, two feet away from him, Neron dropped his chicken bone on the plate, coldly gazed at her, and said, “If you want food then you have to sit in the chair at the end of the table.”
A look of confusion swept across Bella's face when she noticed how long and large the dining table was. Then she suspiciously stared at him.
“What?” Neron asked when he felt her eyes on him as he ripped the chicken thigh from its body.
“You are one weird dude,” Bella whispered beneath her breath.
“Huh?”
“Nothing.”
Even though he heard exactly what she said, Neron faintly smiled and said nothing as he watched her angrily walk away.
Once Bella got seated at the end of the table, Neron cleared his throat and shouted, “Nora!”
Feeling confused, Bella stared around the room while wondering if Neron had lost his mind. But suddenly an elderly lady with silver eyes walked into the dining room, heading towards him, and Bella felt her heart miss a beat or two.
“Yes, master,” Nora said.
“Please serve our guest breakfast,” Neron uttered, smiling at the elderly lady.
“Yes, master.”
“Thanks.”
For a moment, Bella speechlessly stared at Nora walking out of the room. Then she stared back at Neron and thought, ‘What's with the colorful cat-like eyes.’
However, she kept those words to herself even though she desperately wanted to ask Nora about her unique eye color when she returned to the dining room and was serving her breakfast.
“Is there something wrong?” Nora asked when she noticed that Bella kept staring at her.
“No.” Bella nervously mumbled, placing her attention on the numerous dishes in front of her.
Suddenly Bella's face lit up and her eyes sparkled as she looked up at Nora and said, “Wow! They look so delicious.”
A smile surfaced on Nora’s lips while setting the last plate down. Then she slightly bowed to Neron and left.
The room grew quiet for a while as Neron and Bella had breakfast.
When Neron felt full, he stood from his seat, walked over to Bella, and stopped a short distance away from her.
“I will get someone to bring some clothes over for you.” He said while staring down at her.
“Why?” Bella casually said before slowly biting into her strawberry.
“Do you plan to wear that all day? Don't you feel uncomfortable?”
“Uh?”
At first, Bella couldn't wrap her head around what he was saying, then she looked down at her body and realized that she was still wearing the transparent nightgown from the night before.
“You jerk!” Bella shouted, feeling enraged as she stood from the chair.
“What? I didn't dress you in that.” Neron casually said, clearing his throat.
For a moment, She felt a loss of words as she gazed at Neron before starting back at her body.
“I know! But…” Bella stuttered, staring at the frown on his face.
“You wanted me to change you out of it?” Neron asked, scowling at her.
The room suddenly felt hot when Bella looked at Neron's unbothered expression. Then she rushed out of the dining hall when she felt her face getting hot.
The moment Belle arrived in her room, she slammed the door shut, jumped on the bed, and covered her entire body with the comforter.
“He is so annoying!” She screamed into the pillow.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, so Bella removed the comforter off her head and said, “Who's there?”
“It's Nora!” A gentle lady's voice echoed into the room.
After hesitating for a moment, she softly sighed and said, “Come in!”
The door opened and Nora walked in, holding bags in her hands.
“Master said that I should bring you these things.” She said with a faint smile on her lips.
“Thank you for bringing them,” Bella mumbled, blankly staring at the bags.
“He needs you to be dressed and downstairs in less than an hour.”
“Okay.”
The moment Nora left the Room, Bella took a pillow and silently screamed into it.
“He is so bossy!” She mumbled, drawing the pillow away from her face.
A few minutes later, she was clothed in the Backless yellow dress and with black heels.
“He's annoying, but he has a good sense of fashion,” Bella mumbled, staring at her reflections in the mirror as she tied her hair in a bun.
After taking one last glance at her image in the mirror, Bella left her room and headed downstairs.
When she arrived in the hallway, she met Neron, and when his gaze met her eyes, he didn't blink for a while.
“I'm dressed and here. So, what next?” Bella mumbled, staring at her heels to avoid his red eyes.
“Well, I'm taking you back to Damon,” Neron said, shoving his hands into his pocket.
