I open the door to the bedroom and plaster on a smile. "Hey baby." I kiss her on the cheek.
"Hey, where's mum?"
"Uhm, she left."
"She left? I thought she wanted to talk to me." She frowns.
God what do I tell her.
"Oh...Uhm...She just wanted to talk to you about Mr Badejo." I stutter and her frown deepens. I cup her face, "And I didn't want her to bother you about it."
I stroke her cheek with my thumb, she closes her eyes and smiles at me. The sun coming in from the window creates a golden halo around her. She looks so beautiful in that moment my heart chokes up with emotion.
"You know I love you right? I love you so much with all my soul, please don't ever leave me." I whisper.
Her eyes spring open and she frowns.
