Chapter 4

Mia's Pov

I thought I was cursed with a fainting sickness when I collapsed again but that wasn't the issue, I sensed him.

He was near even though I didn't see him initially and fear overwhelmed me in such a way that my whole body gave up.

My wolf was struggling and angry with me for running away from him but that was her plight, I could sense her pain but he needed to understand that Lorenzo could never accept me as his mate.

I stood up expecting to be in that same fancy room I had seen myself earlier but it was different. I was in a rusty brown cottage that looked old and worn out.

"Where do you think we are Mia?" Mina asked me and I swallowed hard.

"I think we are kidnapped," I told her, getting scared as I glanced around the place that looked so eerie aside from the lampstand that stood on the table.

The door opened and I shrieked in fear, sitting defenceless on the bed and hoping for the worst when an old-looking lady came in.

She looked in her mid-sixties, wearing a green cloak, and her grey hair was packed neatly to the back.

She looked harmless but I couldn't help but feel nervous and different questions seemed to fill my mind in how I ended up here.

"It's okay, you're safe. You don't need to feel restless, it's not good for the pup."

She told me and I sighed in confusion.

"How did I end up here?" I asked her eager to hear her reply.

"Oh! You stumbled here in my cabin five days ago during the Silver Moon Carnival, you seem to be running away from someone and you look weak.." She shook her head. "Not good for two innocent pups."

I gasped in surprise and recoiled from her but she meant no harm.

"Five days?" I asked to be sure and she nodded. I thought I had passed out, what was this pregnancy doing to me?

"Yes, I know you're running away from Lorenzo but the truth is you can't run from him. He was here two days ago." She said and my heart tempo increased and hot tears sheened my eyes.

Despite everything, my efforts were in vain!

I can't believe Lorenzo was here.

"He was looking for you and of course, he knows you're pregnant but he couldn't find you."

She said now, getting me confused.

"And who are you please?" I tried to be polite but my voice failed me, I was scared as hell.

"As I said earlier, you're safe Mia. I'm just an old witch trying to survive in these harsh woods and outside the Pack single the Great war with Lycans and wolves cost our Pack."

She explained and I felt sorry about that.

"You don't have to worry about getting caught as I will help you from Lorenzo. I know he's a descendant of Dark Knight and extremely dangerous but what you don't know is his secrets. He won't hesitate to kill you and take this baby away from you." She said with certainty and I believed her, that's who Lorenzo is, Vicious, dangerous, and highly Possessive.

"I don't have anywhere to go, I'm just a maid and he would find and kill me," I explained and she chuckled.

"Then he would have done that two days ago."

My brows squint in confusion

"I masked your scent with the tonic of invisibility." She said and my mouth went wide open, now understanding what she meant. Such tonic was extremely rare and was only used in wars to prevent enemies from finding us with our scent.

"I gave you some to drink too so he won't smell your pup." She said and I couldn't be more grateful to her and my bones felt relaxed.

"Thank you so much!" I mouth in appreciation and she waved it off like nothing.

The next few days were the same and all she did was feed me to my satisfaction and examine the safety of my pup. She prevented me from doing anything as any stress would trigger a miscarriage.

She was so nice and caring that I felt like a burden to her until one night I retired from the woods, getting tired of searching for her since she wouldn't return from wherever she might have gone.

I heard hush voices outside and I became scared instantly, my heartbeat thumped heavily and I quietly went to the window in the dark to have a glimpse of whoever was whispering.

Mina has a sharp sense of hearing so It wasn't difficult to listen to the conversation.

"Lorenzo is not a fool! He will come back here, Amelia!" A Male's voice seethed.

"And he won't take her, I got all the tracks covered, though we have a problem." She replied to him.

"Which is?"

"Her wolf, she longs for him a lot and was almost caught when he was here. We can't continue with our plans if her wolf is after her mate!" He gasped in dread.

"What the f**k Amelia!" He yelled

"She has a mate? No! Wait! Are we saying that she's mated to that demon?" He was restless from his voice and the moons helped me not make a sound at my position.

"Yes Alpha, she's his mate."

"This is so f****d up Amelia! I need her for me. Mine alone!" He growled and she sighed.

"The wolfsbane would make her wolf sleep, don't worry. Just keep to the end of your bargain or I give her out to the Alpha of Blue Stone Pack!"

I gasped in shock, so loud for them to stop talking, and I dropped down to the floor in dread.

"You need to leave Alpha, get me what I want and she will be yours." I overheard Amelia tell him and hot tears spilled on my face.

I was trapped.

This was all planned and this good witch wasn't the person I thought her to be. I became scared, my wolf whined and whimpered and for the first time, I wished Lorenzo had found me. Who knows what she plans to do with me or what those Alpha wants from me?

Amelia entered Inside and I felt a burst of anger flow through me, Infact my wolf took over my entire state as I shook in anger.

"You sly witch!" I yelled at her.

"You have no intentions to help me but to sell me off, Why would you do that?" I cried loudly and she smiled mischievously.

"You're special Mia and nothing comes for free, now keep quiet, and don't stress the innocent pup."

I wanted to yell at her, to scream, and scrambled away from her but I found myself obeying her.

"Lorenzo is evil and you should avoid him, I'm only doing what's best for you, " She told me and I nodded at her.

"No!" My wolf yelled at me. "Mia please don't listen to her, she's got you under a spell!" She cried out but Amelia's voice was stronger.

She brought out a white substance and came closer.

"Your wolf is such a distraction and to make it easier to stay away from Lorenzo, you don't need your wolf "

I wanted to shake away from her words but I found myself nodding, feeling a terrible puking smell that clenched every guts in my stomach to puke out.

She wiped my face with the cloth that contained that substance and I felt empty, drained, and useless.

I was under her mercy and trapped.
