Mia's Pov. "You know you can't talk back to me right? I need to look good for the Carnival! Take this shot and –" She poured the hot drink on me and I shrieked. "-make sure that a better coffee is prepared by the time I'm back." "I'm not meant to do that Delinda, I'm not done with ironing." A hot slap connected on my cheeks instead. "I'll report this insane arrogance to the Alpha once I'm back and trust me, you will go back to that dungeon you came out from." She spat out and swayed her away from the mansion. I wanted to slap Delinda so hard, I wanted to drag her perfect blonde hair and brush her lips on the wall for insulting my mother and spilling the hot drink on me but I didn't have a choice. It's all a mere wish or my skull would be hanging outside for defiling the Alpha's lover and alleged Luna. I wiped my bitter tears and marched to my room with determination, especially what I found out today, a hard truth and realisation that could cost my life. We all face difficult challenges in life and try to overcome them either by the grace of the moon goddess or by the strength of your wolf but mine was different. I packed my bag neatly and quietly, making sure not to let a soul hear a sound and ignoring my heart rate which was enough to cause a dance beat. The door barged open uninvitedly and I flinched in dread. "What the hell are you doing here Mia, the Alpha seeks your presence immediately!" Hannah thundered harshly at me and I nodded. "I'll be on my way now," I told her, making sure to hide my belongings. "No i***t! Go now, no one keeps him waiting!" She fired at me and I scurried out before I got a punishment from her.Hannah being the chief maid was like being the Queen of hell, working hand in hand with Amelia as all her frustrations were always directed at me for being the personal maid to the Alpha. I walked Into the glass porcelain house and I was told he was in his office which made my stomach rumbled In fear. What would he do to me this time around? Hit me? Punish me harshly? f**k me? Did Hannah already report me to him? I don't know and this uncertainty made my wolf whimper in fear. "Don't worry Mina, we'll leave here tonight even if it's the last thing on earth," I told her and she sighed through my restlessness and frustration. I straightened my short white gown that had a black check on the neck and knocked on the door but he didn't budge. Seeing that he had no plans to answer me, I entered inside. There he was, sitting in an arrogant pose on the chair and his dark ash eyes bore into me as I took a step to him. Fuck! This man has a way of making me tremble even without doing anything and his chestnut spiky hair made him look more like an angel than a devil. "You asked for me Alpha." "I'll never ask for something dirty like you!" He replied immediately and I gulped, nodding my head. "We need to go for the Silver Moon Carnival at Green Oak Pack and you know that I don't have a Luna yet," He said and I dared not interrupt him even though Mina was ready to burst Into flames. There's no way I would follow him to Green Oak. I'll be doomed for life. Why can't he go with Amelia? "So, we leave tonight. I've gotten your attire and don't you dare mess me up, Mia." "I. I'm sorry but I'm j..just an omega and the Priestess might rusticate me out if she finds-" "Exactly why I'm asking you to come with me! "Now go in there, get ready and we'll leave in an hour, I need to be back before meeting with the Lycans. It won't be funny if they got here before me." He said and I nodded again and left his sight but he called me sharply. "Mia!" His eyes darkened as he walked closer to me, it was as if he just sensed something that shook his entire body, and every step was laced with anticipation of what he was going to find out. He grabbed my body, slammed me on the wall and buried the crook of his nose on my neck which sent jolts of sudden sparks throughout my entire skin. I thought he wouldn't touch me, not today, please. He smelt good, too good that I itched to tangle my hands in his hair but I would rather do that in my dreams. "Are you pregnant?" Shit!! Shit! What was I thinking when I came in here? "Answer me!!" He roared and I shook, trembling terribly. "Of course not Apha, I'm not.." "Then why…" He shifted away from me and looked ruffled in frustration. "Why then am I smelling my pu–" He stopped midway as if he was saying nonsense and shook his head. "No, Just get out!" He ordered and I scrambled out immediately like a lost cat. The moment I reached my room, I didn't stop to arrange any s**t as I wouldn't survive a second if Alpha Lorenzo confirmed his words. I won't survive it if I go to Green Oak Pack, The Pack of the Alpha's and the festival of the rich. The last time I had gone there reluctantly, I was almost stripped and beaten in humiliation and Lorenzo couldn't do a thing. Right now, I'm pregnant and I'm f*****g glad I used the test kit this morning to my confirm my fears and I'll be doomed to say that I'll stay. My life as a slave in the Black Knight Pack has been nothing but hell, from being a maid in the pack to being a personal maid to Lorenzo. My Dad sold me out to clear the Pack's debt and Lorenzo being a cold-hearted demon used his influence on me. I was used to suffering, dungeons, and the wicked souls around me. I thought I would get used to it until I became his pleasure. It started one night when he came back drunk from a Pack meeting. Just a one-night stand turned into days and my carelessness got the better part of me. I carried my brown bag and sling over my shoulder. I know I'm daring the devil by leaving him, I know the whole pack would burn if he didn't sense my presence but I'll Rather die than let Lorenzo discover about my baby, we won't survive in this harsh pack. Not a second. After passing through the maids at the hall, terrace, and passages, I came to a halt as I knew I needed to bypass the guards who were gossiping. "What did you expect from a man who became an Alpha at ten years old?" One of them chirped. "I know, rumours had it his parents were killed by the wolves of Morning Shade and I wonder why he still keeps that maid of his when he's supposed to kill her " I let my tears fall as I listened to them, Morning Shade was my pack and the rumours were true aside from the fact that I don't know the true story. "Ah! Don't worry about her." He chuckled. "She might die tonight at Green Oak Pack, she's attending the carnival for Alphas " They all burst out in mocking laughter and I knew I needed to leave the hell out of this place. There was no way I would be able to use the main gate with the men talking actively that way, so I better use the back door. However, the moment I turned, three guards surrounded me. "And where are you going, Mia?"
