Stacy parked her car and in a flash rushed out of the car, she nearly somersaulted because her high heels could barely hold the speed or rather, could barely lift her weight.
She barged into the living room and saw how empty it was, there was only one place for her dad to be by this time of the day and that was the dining room. It was his breakfast hour anyway.
She tried calming down on her way but she could not, the more she tried to understand why her dad has to make a way with her money the angrier she gets.
"Dad, with all due respect, what happened to my money?"
She questioned her dad the moment she got to the dining room.
"You mean my money, Stacy?"
He asked her warmly.
She puffed her cheeks and glared at her dad. When did her dad start to refer to her money as his?
"Dad, you know what I am talking about, you don't have to do that"
She said a bit calmer this time around.
Mr. Jackson dropped his fork and wiped his mouth, he suddenly lost his appetite. He can't understand when his daughter becomes this unruly. She has lost all her respect in our night.
" Young lady, may I remind you that I am why you are standing there talking to me. Why you are Stacy Jackson is because of me, one more disrespect from you, you will cease to be my daughter."
He stood up and walked out on her not caring how she was going to take what he just said to her. Stacy can't just change overnight. Who is giving her the audacity to disrespect him? He had made sure to give her all she wanted when he lost his wife. He knew how close the wife was with their daughter and for her not to feel her absence, he went the extra mile to make her not feel her mom's departure.
Stacy was blurring in anger and her face was turning paler, this is unbelievable. When did her dad change to this extent?
She really needs to make sure, he is really her dad or something has possessed him.
Begging him is not an option for her, for her to do that, the world has to come to an end first.
There was only one alternative, she had to do what she had not done before. She needs to show him she can do without his money.
She pulled out her number and punched in a number then placed the phone on her ear.
"Hello!"
She said with a look of disgust on her face, she hated herself that moment.
The guy at the other end smirked, he was still wondering if it was Stacy Jackson, the pompous lady of his time yet he loves her like that.
"You calling me on Christmas morning will bring good fortune to me, hi darling!"
He said and she cursed aloud. This is not going to end well for her, she Could tell he has been smirking all along.
"I need help from you, can I come over?"
"Definitely, I will be expecting you"
And just like that, her call got hung up by the i***t like she just muttered.
One word for Stacy Jackson.

Alex managed to get to the third friend of Ander but got no result. They could not recognize her either. She had to stop and check herself to see if she had suddenly stopped looking like Alex and if she changed to make people who knew her before to deny knowing her. This is all strange to her.
The fourth friend of Alex, the family would not be around because they always go on a family vacation every Christmas so she was left with no choice but to think that her brother might be missing after all.
She broke down afresh and started crying. She felt so lost. Her brother is her world, this can't happen to her.
She felt a light touch on her shoulder and she turned to see a young man screening her, wondering why a pretty lady would be on the road crying on Christmas morning. The man looks so familiar to Alex but she can't place where she knew him from.
"Good morning ma'am"
Alex lifted her trembling lips to respond to the man but words refused to form in her mouth.
"It's fine but what's making you cry this beautiful morning?"
Alex stared at the man because suddenly she couldn't find her voice.
She pulled out her phone but remembered that it was dead so she put it back in her bag and sighed in tears.
The man did not know where to help her because she has refused to talk so all he did was pulled her into a hug and whisper in her ear,
"It's going to be fine, just have faith."
He said and pulled away and kissed her forehead then he left.
She felt calm and was able to smile as she watched the man walk away. She suddenly yawned tiredly with her eyelids forcing her to stay awake. She walked to a corner and quietly sat down then slept off.

Josh woke up with a start and found the life machine attached to Alex beeping and Alex was breathing with difficulties. His heart skipped many beats at a time and he raced out of the door to call the doctor.
A nurse saw him running and stopped him, Josh lost words to explain to the nurse so he pointed at the door repeatedly.
The nurse understood that the patient at the ward might be in danger and rushed towards the doctor's office while Josh rushed back to Alex's ward.
His heart was pounding so loud that he feared it might fall off his chest.
He got to her side of the bed the moment he ran back into the ward and squatted by her side.
"Alex you don't have to do this, I don't know much about your relationship with your brother but if you are in any way worried about him, I just want to let you know he is fine and he misses you so much please don't leave us."
The machine stopped beeping and her breathing normalized. Josh saw that she was calm and checked if she was still breathing and she was, he sighed and slumped down on the floor.
Alex just gave him a heart attack. When did he start caring much about Alex?
Alex opened her eyes slowly, she blinked back trying to contain the light in the room without success, she tried again and this time around she opened her eyes. She was trying to figure out where she was when she sighted someone by the wall, he was sitting on his heels looking helpless.
She looked around and could not recognize the place immediately. She was trying to remember how she got there but her memory was blurry.
