ACCIDENTAL BRIDE (A Christmas Bride)

Insanely Insane

Luke was first to finish with his meal followed by Senior Bleak. The two left Alex and Josh since they were still eating, Senior Bleak went to the living room while Luke went to his room.

He got to his room and sighed, he could not believe he is such a loser.

He stared at the picture of Alex behind his bed lamp and sighed again.

The photo was taken on their first outing on the beach. It was her first time going to the beach and she did not hide it. If realness is a person then it's Alex, she has never pretended for one day and he has loved her for that. Most of the girls he has dated in the past pretended to be from wealthy homes but at the end of the day, he would find out they lied to him and that would be the end of the relationship. If there is one thing he hates, it's lies. He hates it with passion, if you are dealing with him, you have to be open but Luke failed to realize that it's his own doom because he lies too, what an irony. You hate what you do.

At the beach, he never stopped taking pictures upon pictures of her, she was funny and crazy at the same time.

Alex loved him to a fault, she would die the world to see him happy, most of the time he had issues with Senior Bleak, it's Alex's place he goes to, and before he would return to the mansion he had forgotten that he had an issue with his grandfather.

She was his peace of mind, what he can't seem to understand is why he had to date Miss Sahery to the extent of breaking up with Alex to marry her.

He remembered the first time he saw her, she had gone to the mall to purchase groceries and he had sighted her at the entrance of the mall when she came out. Her beauty had attracted him to her and he had vowed to woo her. He did but failed, she had declined his proposal. He again tried many times because he had to trace where she lives and after being unsuccessful five times, he became Lucky on the sixth trial. That day was literally the happiest day of his life.

Alex gave him her heart but he toyed with it, she did a lot of sacrifices because of him yet he has the mind to break up with her. Whatever decision she takes today, he should not blame her because he pushed her to it. He had thrown her hopes to the wind.

One does not know the value of what he has until he loses it

He had shattered and broken her heart and it's left for him to pay the price but is he just letting her go without a fight?

The answer is no, he might be wrong but his big bro will never marry the only one who truly loves him. He would fight until she became his again.

Alex wiped her mouth after she was done with her meal and drank a glass of water and made to leave when Josh dragged her down and she hit her butt hard on the hard surface of the dining chair.

She whimpered and glared at him.

"What now?, can't I go after eating my meal?"

"Nah, you ought to wait for me to finish eating. Are you leaving your husband all by himself to eat? That does not make you a good wife."

Josh said and that annoyed the hell out of Alex. She can't believe he would drag her down like that for this petty talk of his.

Tsk tsk tsk, dealing with Josh would drain her blood and suck out every water in her system.

"So you actually pulled me down because of this nonsense you said, huh?. I know your plans, to make me go insane but let me tell you something, I was already insane before meeting you so stop trying to make an insane person insane, alright?"

She said and stood up again, Josh did not stop her this time not that he can't but he just decided to let what she said slide, both of them are in this together so he would have all the time in the world to mess with her head and by the time he is done with her, she would be insanely insane. His promise to her though.

Alex was surprised that he did not attempt to stop her again. He is so unpredictable. You will expect him to do this but he will end up doing the opposite. For her to stay sane in this marriage, she would have to study him like a book in that way, whatever he does would not surprise her.

She skipped to the living room and kissed Senior Bleak goodnight.

"Off to bed now, do sleep well grandpa"

"Yes my darling, I will but don't you think it's too early to go to bed?"

Senior Bleak asked with hopes in his eyes, he was hoping to have her stay with him for a while.

"No grandfather, I need to go to bed now. You know tomorrow? And I need all the sleep I can get tonight."

Senior Bleak smiled.

"Alright, I understand now. Good night dear"

"With that, he waved her off and she went upstairs. He continued looking at her until he could not see her back anymore and smiled to himself.

"Josh's shirt and briefs look good on you, can't wait for you both to give me great-grandchildren that would fill this mansion"

Senior Bleak knows that that dream of his will soon come to reality only if Josh does the needful and that reminds him, there is one thing he did not include in the wedding package and that's their place of honeymoon.

He dialed a number and it came through at the first ring.

"Book two weeks stay for Josh and my daughter-in-law at Grey's and get it done ASAP, don't tell me stories"

"Yes sir"

The person at the other end said and Senior Bleak hung the call. He can only fast forward that dream of his by doing this. He can't believe he almost forgot.

Left for Josh there will be no honeymoon, he would tell him.

" Grandfather, my company needs me"

Senior Bleak knows he has to be in charge and that's what he is doing.

He had watched enough, it was time to go to bed. His Christmas Eve was well spent.

"Merry Christmas"

He muttered to no one and left the living room to his room.

With all the stress that Alex had encountered today and the one she is sure will come tomorrow, going to sleep was the next thing for her. Alex already has it in mind that after today, her life will change either for good or bad and either way, surely there will definitely be a change.

Waking up this morning with a mind full of expectations, one of them is having a lovely evening with her boyfriend but at the end of the day, the unexpected happened and automatically she became a bride not only a bride but a Christmas bride. She is definitely getting married to someone she believes will forever be her enemy. She still has time to change her mind but Alex knows, in as much as she is going to lose her sanity and peace of mind, she could secure a good life for her kid bro and that's all that matters to her.

She got to Josh's room and went straight to the bed, she could sleep before he comes in and that means no trouble for her from Josh.

Alex can't understand why he behaves the way he does.

She laid down and felt the bed, it was so soft that it could keep her worries away. It was nothing close to hers at home.

The Bleak family is fvcking rich so she can't compare what she sees here to anywhere else.

She shook her head "am I really getting married tomorrow, this is not my ideal wedding. It does not look like there is something happening tomorrow and for crying out loud, tomorrow is Christmas and here, it is so dried up. Indeed, it's so weird. No Christmas trees, no Christmas decorations, no presents."

She wondered out loud.

She is not close to being rich but she has made sure her apartment had the look of Christmas, she has decorated everywhere since the 1st of December and has gotten a lot of parcels for her younger brother. Alex is ready for Christmas but it looks like this Christmas was not going to go as she has planned it. Her only concern now is Ander and she hopes to get to him soon.

She closed her eyes and sleep took over her immediately.
