Mallory's Pov
How could she call me crazy?
She was supposed to be my best friend.
She apologised to me and I let it go.
We couldn't complete the selection for miss Sam's project until closing hours when the JARS showed up in class and it turned to a frenzy mess.
Girls began to squeal and scream.
Guys began to hmm and beat their chests.
I thought things like this were for girls alone?

Jacob's Pov
I stepped into the class and the first face I saw was Mallory's.
I'm still thinking about that sudden embrace and what she said after it.
Its really surprising that no one brought it up again.
I caught her staring at me and she smiled before looking away.
She is totally out of it!
But, she would be in my group.
I guess we would talk better.
I grinned as I raised up my hand. "Keep it down, people. Its time to dip your hand into the bag. Mallory, Kacie, Ria and Diva, step out. Stand with your group partner. Let the picking begin!"
They cheered as they started trooping out one after the other.
Is it just me or do Kacie and Arthur look really weird right now?

Mallory's Pov
"Stop that, people might see you two." I whispered into Kacie's ears and she pulled her hands from Arthur's suddenly. They were holding hands behind their backs.
I laughed.
I watched as they showed Jacob who they picked and they stood with them.
It got to Ella's turn and I prayed silently so that she won't be in our group.
I watched as she stood with Jacob and I groaned.
She is in our group!
She smiled at Jacob but he didn't even look at her, he was focused on what he was doing.
I smiled inwardly.
"Now, that's it for today. See you all tomorrow.........Miss Sam would have to explain what she wants us to do.........bye everyone."
"Byeeeeee Jacob!" They chorused and I rolled my eyes.
The JARS went out of the class and we went back to our seats.
I looked around for Kacie but she was nowhere to be found.
Bad girl!
She has dumped me for Arthur again.
"We are in the same group, I hope we get along very well." Ella said as she smiled at me.
I rolled my eyes before walking out of the class. Immediately I stepped out, someone grabbed my hand and I was pulled to the rooftop.
The person released my hand and it turned out to be Jacob.
"What do you want?" I asked calmly.
"I want you!" He said as he clicked his tongue and I laughed.
"Be serious, Jacob!"
"What has come over you, Mallory? I don't like you like this. I want the fierce and tough Mallory back."
He covered his mouth suddenly.
"I'm sorry, that wasn't meant to come out..................Why did you hug me yesterday and those things you said, can you make me understand?"
"Will you ever let it be? Some things are better left hidden than exposed. If you would excuse me, I have to go home.." I turned around quickly and I walked away.
"But, I am not done talking!"
"Good night, Canavesi!" I yelled before running out of his sight.
I got to the bottom of the stairs and I waited to calm my breath.
I covered my face.
He likes my toughness!
He likes my viciousness!
Can't I just tell him the truth when we meet today?
I really wanna tell him but I can't!
He knows my secret and he can use it against me.
So, he must never know!
I just pray he does not decide to do away with the mask, I won't be able to keep up my facade either.
We'd meet today!
I pulled my backpack closer to myself and I rushed out.

Jacob's Pov
Some things are better left hidden than exposed.
Geez!
I prefer the tough Mallory to this cool and annoying one!
It does not fit her, at all!
I miss the old Mallory!
Hold on a sec!
What am I doing?
I miss the old Mallory?
I laughed out loud as I packed my hair in my hands.
Is it possible to start feeling something for another person when I'm in love with another?
Is it because they have the same name?
Shoot!
What am I really doing?
I feel sparks with my wonder woman but my heart has never fluttered because of her.
Mallory hugged me once and my heart fluttered, am I a real man?
Oh yes, I am!
My heart fluttered because I was shocked!
I can't possibly feel anything for Mallory!
Its not possible!
I love my wonder woman and I would confess to her today.
I will tell her who I am by removing the mask.

Arthur's Pov
"You know we've been on the phone for minutes, right?" I said into the phone 'cos I was already feeling bored.
"Arthur?" Her sweet voice which has no effect on me again came in and I groaned.
"What?!"
"Its me, Kimberly. Do you really wish to end the call?"
"Its not a wish! I'm really dying to end it!"
"What has come over you, Arthur?!"
"You have come over me!" I yelled into the phone and I heard her gasp. "You cheated on me, Kim, what do you expect me to do? Act like I'm all good even though I was hurt and probably, still hurting. You are one of the reasons why I left New Jersey, don't spoil my mood tonight, please."
"That was not the impression you left, though."
"What?"
"Anyway, I am really sorry and I will keep on apologising. I am ready to right my wrongs. I've missed you baby."
I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever!"
"Get ready to be shocked, Arthur!"
She ended the call and I smiled.
Finally!
And then, it struck me.
Get ready to be shocked?
Don't tell me she is in Florida!
I dialled her number again but it wasn't connecting!
She is back!
I groaned again as I fell back on the bed.
How would Kacie feel about this?
She is my ex and I don't want to have anything to do with her.
Should I also pretend as if I don't know she is back?
Yes!
That's what I'd do.
She will be shocked when she sees my girlfriend too.
I placed the covers over my head..............I threw it away when my phone rang.
Talk of the devil!
"Hello baby!"
I heard her soft laughter "I could kill to hear you call me that every blessed day."
I laughed
"What's up with you?"

Mallory's Pov
After receiving Jacob's text, I waited for him at the convenience store where we met and I've been waiting for hours.
Its been over two hours since he told me he was coming.
I hope he is well and okay.
Or, could he be sick?
I don't know what I'd do if anything bad happens to him!
My heart started to beat fast and it was a sign!
A terrible sign!
He is in trouble!
I took off immediately, unfortunately, my hair fell off and I cussed.
I could go back to pick it, instead, I ran off towards his home, of course, I know Romeo Canavesi's palace!

Scott's Pov
I came out of the convenience store eventually after scouring the place for hours.
I spotted a hair on the ground and I cringed.
"Gross!"
I looked around and I saw a girl with that fierce hair running............like....I don't know how to describe it.....she was really fast!
That fierce hair?
Its only Mallory that has that kind of hair in this part of the world, and I mean, our school and obviously, this neighbourhood.
So, what is she doing with a fake hair?
Was she in disguise?
Could that girl really be Mallory?
Is she a human or an alien?
I can't let this go, no way!
I followed her slowly!
