Jacob's Pov
I looked at dad and words failed me.
Look at dad!
All happy and strong!
He is even eating happily
I looked at my palms
Do I have magical powers?

The way she ran, the way she entered the fire, that strength, I looked at my palm again and I snapped my fingers,
That's it!
Mallory is no ordinary child!
She is indeed my wonder woman!
I owe you my life, Mallory.
"Stop looking like a lost soul and tell me everything about your life in New Jersey." Dad said between mouthfuls of chicken and I smiled.
"I've missed you, dad."

I was dumbfounded as I looked at this happy reunion,
I was indeed shocked!
And then, I heard
"You can't strike him down again, back off daughter of darkness!"
I looked around me and then, I disappeared with mom.
We appeared again in her room.
"Why did you grab me out of there suddenly?" She whined.
"I heard a voice."
"A voice?"
"Yes, it sounded like that of a man, a very old man."
"Anyway, I didn't hear anything. Hold on a sec, did you see his son?"
I blushed as I looked at mom.
"Of course you saw him. Isn't he too handsome?"
"Of course but Mallory........."
"Shhhhhhh...........Would it be too bad to have fun along the way?"
"Mom?"
"Get ready for the fun, my child."
Well, I could actually pay him back in his own coin through his son.
She started laughing and I joined her.

Jacob's Pov
Thankfully none of this got out of the house.
If the news that Romeo Canavesi was hale and hearty got out, there would be tons of reporters waiting outside, right now.

I sang as I fell on my bed.
Yesterday is a day I would never forget in the history of my life, thanks to a girl I know.
I picked up my phone and I dialled "wonder woman"
She picked after a while.
"I thought you wouldn't pick up." I teased her.
"You should know its late and that I'm trying to get some sleep." She said sleepily into the phone and I chuckled.
"I'm so sorry for calling this late. I wanted to hear your voice, that's all.
Good night, Mallory, thanks for saving my dad."
I ended the call.

Mallory's Pov
I became widely awake, so, I sat up
Thanks for saving my dad?
What did I do?
I did nothing.
I called him back and he picked almost immediately.
"I thought you wanted to sleep?"
"I'm awake now." I said clearly into the phone. "You wanted to thank me for what?"
"For saving my dad, Mallory. I know you are different from every other girl, don't worry, your secret is safe with me. Go back to sleep, Mal.
Good night once again."
He ended the call and a small smile formed on my lips.
I really saved his dad!
He isn't scared of me!
I stood up from the bed happily and I dropped on the sofa.

I sang happily!
I glanced at the wall clock,,,,,,past eleven
She can't be asleep!
I really need someone to gossip with.
I dialled Kacie's number and she picked after a while
"I would have killed you if you hadn't........"
"I know you can do that, I'm sorry ma'am." She giggled. "Kill me, my foot! You are at it again, hit me girl."
"You asked for it!"
I started the girlie gossip.

I stepped into the hallway the next day, still humming Jacob's name in my head and what he told me last night when I saw them, JARS, all four of them.
Jacob looks exceptionally happy today or, am I seeing things?
"Morning, Mal." They said as they walked past me.
"Hold it!" I commanded and they stopped.
They turned to look at me.
"Were you hit in the head, Canavesi?"
"Cos I greeted you?"
"Yeeeeeah,,,,,,,that's so unusual and its really weird coming from you. Ray, Scott and Arthur are........"
"Hold it!" He commanded and I kept mute.
"You really are annoying, aren't you? Don't make me really mad than I am, Mallory." He glared at me before walking away and I opened my mouth in shock.
He is mad?
Who annoyed him?
What's my business anyway?
Arthur and Ray smiled at me before walking away.
Scott came closer to me and he tucked my hair behind my ear.
"He is really grumpy right now. I hate it whenever Jacob is like that."
Its not really my business but I have to ask "Do you know why he is mad?"
"I don't, no one knows."
He sighed
"Anyway, don't let that bother you, he is a nut-head and will always be."
I laughed "Like it would and that's really true."
"I love the sound of your laughter."
I smiled.
Now, that's what I love to hear not some nonsense brattish- is there even a word like that-?
I laughed again.
Scott came closer again, did like he wanted to pick something from my hair and he pecked me again.
"Scott!"
"Kill me in my dreams, Mal." He said before running away and I couldn't help but laugh.

He never cease to amaze me.
I entered my classroom and I greeted my mates before I saw Kacie waving at me.
I got to our seat and I sat down.
I pulled her cheeks and she yelped.
"Mallory.......that was hard!" She said as she frowned.
"Yeah, good morning to you too."
"I'm serious."
I placed my hand on her cheeks and I rubbed gently. "Okay now?"
"Better!" She smiled. "Everything you said yest........" She trailed off as mr Henry walked in.
Who is the new student this time around?
"You've got a new student again, come in." He said quietly and all eyes were glued to the doorway.
A girl walked in, with her hair down and everyone gasped.
She raised her head suddenly and she parted her hair.
Wow!
This is beauty in the real sense!
So pretty!
"Don't be scared, pals." She said as she smiled. "I am Ella Brandton, treat me well."
