Mallory's Pov
I laughed again at his remark.
He is just so hilarious!
I feel like I know this guy but this is the first or second time we are meeting, so, what's wrong?
He grabbed my hand suddenly and I looked at our entwined hands.
"Why are you holding my hand?"
"I saw something and I got scared."
I laughed. "That's why?" I asked, raising our hands and he nodded.
"Are you really a boy?"
He laughed. "I am but I think I'm free to get scared when you, my wonder woman is beside me. Nothing will ever happen to me."
"Why are you talking like I have magic or something?"
He laughed again as he swinged our entwined hands. "What you have is greater than magic, bravery, courage, that's what you have and I admire it in a girl."
"Awwww......" I cooed "that's not gonna save us if danger surfaces, you know?"
"Of course, what do we have legs for?"
I giggled.
I like his personality.
Of course, when you are near me, or anyone at that, nothing would happen. I saw my house ahead and I groaned.
I didn't want to leave him!
He is fun to be with and I think something is eating him deep 'cos I saw through his heart.
It was full of hardness, sorrow and bitterness!
I'm very sure he'd put on a bad personality for the world, so that they won't break through his facade.
I can't believe I'm already feeling for him!
"I have to go now." I said as I stopped and a frown appeared on his face."
"Come on, stop frowning." I said as I pulled his cheek and I pulled back my hand almost immediately.
"Oh?" I saw his face lit up with smiles. "You felt that spark too?"
I looked at my hand, then his face.
Did he feel it too?
"Let's just say we have chemistry." He stated simply and I laughed again.
"Chemistry indeed. We just met........Bye Jacob." I separated our hands.
"Bye Mallory!"
I looked at him, he had something else to say.
"Just say it."
"You asked, I need your contact."
I giggled.
I called it out for him and he smiled as he typed it.
"I would see you again, Mallory. That's your house over there, right? The one in green?"
I looked ahead and I shook my head.
I'm in disguise!
I don't want to be found out!
"No, my house is still down the street." I lied.
That's my house, quite alright!
I bade him bye as I started walking towards another direction.
"I'd call you a lot, Mallory!" He yelled and I smiled before running out of his sight.

Jacob's Pov
Immediately she disappeared, a frown replaced my smile.
Dad is deteriorating!
He is dying!
And, the hospital has not been able to find whatever is wrong with him.
If I believed in the supernatural, then, I'm very sure it is responsible for whatever is wrong with dad..........I don't even know what to believe.
I continued to walk and walk until my house came into sight.
As usual, I went in through the back gate, passed through the underground passageway and I came out in the garage. I went into the house and I went straight to dad's room.
I opened the door and I went in.
I sat beside his bed and I took his hand. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I stroked his hand.
I miss you dad,
A whole lot!
This is not who you are!
This is not what you should be!
You shouldn't be like this!

Mallory's Pov
I stepped out of my room after changing and I fell. I began to sweat and groan.
Someone is draining some part of my powers................my healing powers!
Whether knowingly or unknowingly, whatever is healing right now was caused by very dark powers.
How..........how is this possible?
"Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrr!" I screamed as the pain became fierce.
Kelvin and Max rushed to me.
"What's wrong, Mal?" Max asked as he shook me.
"Mom!" I whispered before everything became dark.

I opened my eyes slowly and I saw mom, dad, Kelvin and Max holding each other.
"Thank goodness!" Mom whispered as she rushed to me. "What happened, Mallory?"
"I don't really know, mom. A part of my healing powers was drained."
"Is that why you fainted?"
"I don't think so. It has to do with dark powers!" I said flatly and mom nodded.
"Glewn's darkness can drain your powers, you know?"
My eyes widened "What?"
"But, no need to worry. You just showed them that Light would always overshadow darkness."
"I love you mom!"
"What about us?" Kelvin chimed in.
"I don't!" I stated flatly and dad chuckled.
"You know that's not true. Anyway, be mindful of how you release your sweat!" Dad cautioned and I saluted.
"Yes sir!"
Everyone pulled my cheeks one after the other except Kelvin.
"You don't love us, right? I don't love you either!"
He threw a baby doll at me before running out!
There he goes!
I would get you later lil' bro.
I sat up and he came to mind.
Jacob!
He came in contact with my sticky and wet palm.
No wonder he was bitter and sorrow.
I'm very sure he'd be happy by now!
I've saved someone again!
I'm really happy that I was able to help him!

"Mom, Mallory is pushing it!" I yelled as I ran into her room.
"What has she done to you?" Mom asked as she filed her nails.
"Romeo Canavesi has been saved!" I stated flatly and the file fell out of her hand.
"You said?"
"He has been healed!"
"He was meant to get healed anyway. You shouldn't have.............."
"Don't, mom!" I cautioned as my eyes spat out fire.
She chuckled. "Let's go and see how he's doing, shall we?"
I smiled.
He can't be fully healed!
I'm very sure of that!"
We disappeared and we appeared inside his room, no one could see us.
WTF!
The man is completely okay, and I mean okay!
How powerful is Mallory to do this?
Should I be scared of her?
No freaking way!
