Mallory's Pov
I just couldn’t stop laughing
Today in school was very funny!
*flashback*
It was time to serve the JARS their lunch and Kacie was with me.
Is this really obvious or it is me alone?
There is a kind of look in Arthur's eyes whenever he looks at Kacie and Kacie, on the other hand, looks really weird. She can't look Arthur in the eye and she utters no word whenever she is near him.
This girl...........was never shy around anyone, why is she shy now?
I giggled as I dropped the last of the plates on the table.
As usual, I took a sip out of the soup and Jacob started with the chicken.
I have noticed this about him. He likes starting with something else apart from the main course.
Immediately he ate out of it, I gave him a note and I ran out with Kacie.
I took a bite out of the chicken, check the other side. Thanks for sharing a kiss with me again!
That's what the note says.
"Mallory Waston!" I heard him yell and the laughter of the rest. "Arrgh! My neck."
"I've told you this before, you don't use all your strength to yell!"
"Shut up Scott!"

Yes! That was so funny!
Although, I saved him again today.
Someone has planted banana peels in front of his classroom, so that when he steps out, he'd fall and break his neck.
Someone must really hate him.
Anyways, I have saved him thrice now and it is still counting.
I am totally against going to school on a Saturday but I can't voice that out.
I am not the owner of the school and neither is my mom.
This saturday in school was the most beautiful in the history of my life.
Its time to face reality.
I went over to my table, did my projects and I stretched when I was done.
I looked at the time and I stood up.
Few minutes past eight!
Time to burn off the calories!
I put on my trainers, wore the fake hair and face and I came out of my room.
Immediately I saw dad, I landed on the floor.
"Who are you? And, why are you coming out of my daughter's room?"
He brought out his phone, ready to dial the cops until I stopped him.
"Its me, dad!" I said as I stood up.
I removed the skin and hair and I saw realization in his eyes.
"Mallory!" He screamed. "What are they for?"
"You can't understand, dad. I have my reasons."
He came closer to me and he pointed at the hair. "You saved that baby, right?"
I looked at my feet instead of replying.
"Bless you, Mallory."
I looked up suddenly.
Isn't he angry?
"Whatever you do in life, always watch your steps and don't get into big trouble, I am always behind you and about you showing part of your powers in school, don't you even........"
"Yeah...yeah....yeah.....I know, dad. I'm off for a run!"
"Don't get into trouble!" He called after me as I ran out of the house.
I placed the hair and skin in place and I plugged my ear.
I pulled up my hood and I started my run.

Jacob's Pov
As usual, I am out again, in disguise, searching for Mallory. I've been out like this for days, hoping to meet her again.
My wonder woman!
It was as if she disappeared after the fire incident.
I really want to see her again.
I got to the convenience store to get a drink, I opened the door and I went in. Immediately I got in, I bumped into someone and I landed on the floor.
Haven't I had enough falls?
I saw a hand reaching out to me and I took it.
I was pulled up in one swift movement.
Wow!
That was strong!
And then........I saw her...........looking all sweaty and all.
I should be avoiding her 'cos I hate sweat and the likes but I couldn't, instead a large grin was plastered on my face.
"Hey, why are you smiling? You should be saying the word thank you."
"Pardon my manners, I really admire your bravery and courage."
She blinked repeatedly.
"Have we met before?"
"Sure, "Instead of shaking, why don't you vacate this place?"
Her lips formed an oh "It was you?"
"Yes. I also called you to wait but you ran off like lightning."
She started laughing and I joined her.
She laughs like an angel!
"Anyway, I am Mallory, what's yours?"
"Jacob!" I said simply.
"Go on!"
"I would tell you later on 'cos we are gonna be seeing each other."
She laughed again and I smiled.
"Seriously?"
"Yup!"
If I had told her my surname, she might not agree to meet me again because that name screams wealth. I want her to see me as her equal. With the way she is dressed now, it is obvious that she was not born into a rich family.
Anyway, that's just it!

I saw those two walking out of the store and I frowned.
Though, I can still pick up a faint scent of Mallory's aura which is pointing at this girl, her face is different from the one I see in my dreams.
And, the guy, Jacob Canavesi, whose father I struck accidentally.
How could he decide to stop partnering with mom?
Mom had been his business partner for years.
I overheard their heated conversation and I couldn't bear it again.
I struck him down with full force and mom screamed.
The deed was done already!
I teleported him back to his office and that was where he was found. The whole news stations in the country had carried it and the man has been bed-ridden ever since.
He is going to remain that way unless he comes in contact with "light" and I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
His son came back after a month to be with his father.
Wondering how I saw through his facade?
The face he has on now, is not his real face!
I looked through his heart, it was full of sadness and I was getting suspicious until I heard his name.
I wonder how handsome he's gonna be when the mask is removed.
My mission is getting difficult!
Where the heck is Mallory?
Hold on a sec!
Why wasn't I able to penetrate that Mallory's heart?
It was completely protected!
Oh em gee!
I dropped the parcel in my hand and I ran out.
Everywhere was so quiet and peaceful!
I packed my hair up in frustration!
I couldn't sense her again!
That girl was Mallory!
She was in disguise!
I should have just followed my instincts!
