Mallory's Pov continues
I gasped as I opened my eyes.
I looked around me.
How did I get to my bed?
I stood up and I rushed to my table.
The book was not there?
I went over to the library and I saw the book on the floor, widely opened.
I picked it up and I returned it to the shelf.
Was that a dream?
Or, was it real?"
I didn't open the book!
I remember knocking a book off the table last night.
Mom and I were together arranging some books until we decided to go to bed. We told each other good night and mom went out. I put off the lights and on my way out, a book fell but I didn't bother to check it.
I locked the door and I went to the bed.
The book that fell, was this book?
I really opened the book!
I placed my hands on my head until I heard mom's tiny scream.
"Mallory!" I dropped my hands as I looked at her.
"Goo......."
"You opened the book!" She interrupted me and I smiled nervously.
"I sort of did but it was a mistake!"
"Mistake? How could you be so foolish? I told you not to open it!"
"I'm sorry, mom."
"Don't tell me that! Sorry won't erase that scar on your arm!"
"My arm?" I looked at my arm and I saw a large scar in letter S.
"S?"
"Sighted!" She said as she looked into my eyes. She came closer to me and I made myself ready to receive the slap, instead, she pinched me and I screamed.
I saw my blood oozing out and I screamed again.
Mom placed a finger on my blood and she dropped it on the scar.
The scar vanished immediately and the place she pinched healed up though I was still feeling the pain greatly.
I saw dad, Max and Kelvin rush in.
"What's going on here?" Dad asked, still in his pyjamas.
"The book has been opened." Mom stated simply and I saw dad's eyes widen.
"You did what, Mallory?" Dad asked as he looked at me.
"I didn't do it on purpose,dad."
"That's not the issue right now. She'd come after you, Mal."
Who?
Now, I'm getting the freaks!
"A prophecy that has been out since ages, darkness would end by the blood of light, you are the last from the realm of light. I never had powers as great as yours, since you've opened the book, she has known who you are and she would want you dead at all cost, I'm scared for you, Mal. You shouldn't have opened the book." Her voice shook with emotion. I looked around and I saw fear on everyone's faces.
I sighed.
This is my destiny and I have to take it up.
I am ready to end this fight, even though I am scared and I don't know how it will go, I can't run from my destiny.
"Don't worry, guys, i would be fine."
Everyone gathered around me and we had a group hug.

I chuckled as I strolled down the hallway.
I really have the mind.
Instead of staying at home and adhering to mom's instructions, I am right here in school, looking forward to a nice day if a guy called Jacob doesn't ruin it for me.
But, shouldn't I just let him be?
What I've been doing shouldn't be associated with me, right?
I should just let him be, right?
No way!
I would make rude guys find their place and Jacob would be an example to every one of them.
"Hey, Mal!" I heard suddenly and I glanced up. I saw Scott walking towards me with a large grin on his face.
Now, something is really weird.
"What's with the smile?"
"What?" He asked as he pinched my cheeks "Can't I smile again? I'm just happy to see you."
I blushed.
Something is really wrong with me.
"Why are you not with the guys?"
"They are nut-crackers. I prefer your company to theirs."
"We heard that, Scott!" Arthur said as he appeared with Jacob and Ray.
"Morning, Mal!"
"Morning!" I muttered as they walked past me.
"Okay, I'd better get to class then, see you around, Scott."
I turned to go and I heard that authoritative voice.
"Stop right there, Mallory!"
I stopped on my tracks.
Let's just hear what he has to say.
I turned around slowly and I faced him.
"What do you want?" I asked as I arched a brow.
"Don't you know how to greet your superior in school?"
I scoffed.
"Are you?"
He smiled "what?"
"Anyways, I'm not ready to banter words with you but.............." I took two steps forward "If you don't let me be this morning, I'm gonna tell the whole school what they don't know about principal Pearl."
He chuckled. "What do you mean?"
I tucked a strand of my "baby" behind my ear "I wonder what they will do when they find out the truth. You've been given special favours and respect because she is your mom. I wonder............."
"How.........?" Arthur tried to say but Jacob came closer to me and he grabbed my hand. I twisted his arm with my strength and I threw him off the ground.
"Mallory......" He called as he landed flatly on the ground.
The guys rushed over to him and Arthur looked at me.
"Who or what are you?"
I smiled as I tucked my hair behind my ear again. "I am a slave to no one in this school. You can't order me around and you don't tell me when to greet or not. I greet when I wanna greet and whoever I wanna greet. One more thing, don't worry about me telling anyone her real identity. I did that for fun anyways..... Bye Scot-tie!"
"Bye Mal!"
I smiled before walking away.

Jacob's Pov
"Who the hell is she?" I asked as I looked at Mallory's retreating figure. "She can't be a girl!"
"But, she is a girl!" Scott said as he grinned and I felt like hitting him.
"Ray, can you dig deeper into her background?" I asked as Arthur helped me up.
"You think I've not done that?"
"So, what did you find?"
"Absolutely nothing!"
I looked at him before shaking my head.
"That girl is not human! She could be an alien."
I looked at Arthur like he was hit in the head. "What?"
I bursted into laughter.

Mallory's Pov
WTF!
Alien, my foot!
I ended up laughing like Jacob.
Arthur is so funny!
But, are my powers really getting obvious?
They are already suspecting me!
I think I have to lie low for now, according to dad's instructions, no more powers!
Gaaah!
I would feel so stupid!

"Any news yet?" Mom asked as I stepped into her room.
"No, mom." I said as I frowned. "Her aura has been erased from my soul. I can't even sense or locate her anymore."
She frowned before standing up. "You have to locate her and do what ought to be done. If we don't end her life now, she would destroy us, she is the greatest after Alei."
"I know all these, mom!"
"Your destiny is to destroy the last daughter of light. Even if you have to go into disguise, do it and bring her heart to me." She giggled. "I have to drink her sweat as well, you know?"
I giggled. "I'd do that mom. Mallory is mine to destroy."
