Chapter 04

957 Words
AMANDA What happened last night? I force my eyes all the way open, rubbing what looks like a dream or a nightmare that I had in my sleep last night. I can’t recall exactly what happened, but I know Luther managed to escort me into my room without saying any other words. I remember him staying for a minute or an hour with him just standing near the window as if he was thinking about something. Then, I remember almost screaming at the top of my lungs when he just jumped out of the window, leaving me mystified and dumbfounded. I turn, my eyes still blurry with sleep but almost screaming again, when a familiar face of a man shows himself right into my gaze. “ What the f**k are you doing here, Blaze?!” I got up and shoveled the blanket onto my body to cover myself up while still staring at Blaze who looks like he’s been watching me sleep for the last hours. I looked out the window and realized it was not just probably midnight because the sky is still dark. What the hell is going on? If there is one thing I am thankful for not having a roommate yet, it is the fact that I have this room by myself. I haven't even unpacked my luggage yet. This place was invaded by them just a few hours after I'd arrived here. “ You really remind me of her,” he whispered, fixing himself up on the other side of the bed. “ What?” I’m confused. Blaze shrugs, and I’m utterly shocked watching him undress his tucked t-shirt in front of my eyes. My heart is lodged in my throat because of what he is doing and also because I realized he was walking towards the edge of the bed with his cold expression. “ What are you trying to do?” I glared at him and pushed myself further away from the edge of the bed. “ Don’t you dare do something heinous, Blaze. I’m going to scream.” He says nothing, looking straight ahead. I hate to admire his sculpted body, yet everytime he walks closer to where I was, my gaze seems to fall into his flesh, giving me this tingling sensation in my core. Blaze saw my gaze flicking into his body and he laughed. “ Want to touch it, princess?” I can’t help but to take note of how they call me by different pet names, but Blaze sounded more genuine and respectable. I swallow hard and wait for whatever he is about to do. I can see the trouble in his gaze still, I have this feeling that if I can trust someone among the four of them, it’s him. “ Don’t worry,” Blaze snaps, pushing himself on the side of the bed and turning the lamp off near the bedside table. I can still see his silhouette, and I’m confused seeing him trying to sleep next to me on the bed. “ I just need a place to crash for the night. I don’t want to watch Luther have s*x in our penthouse.” I looked at him, surprised. “ What?” Blaze hushed. “ Just sleep Amanda. Don’t worry, I won’t f*****g do anything to you…yet.” The next day Truth to be told, Blaze didn’t do anything to me last night. I didn’t realize I slept too much. I was already late for my class when I heard a loud knock in my room. I quickly got up from bed and opened the door. A girl my height wearing what looked like our uniform looked at me like there was something funny in my face. “ Looks like you had a rough night,” she smirks, opening the door wider and striding inside my room without any permission. I stalked behind her and watched her lay some clothes onto the other bed. I think my head is still spinning because I had a hard time sleeping last night when she turned around and extended her hand. “ I’m Celeste. Nice to meet you.” She said, smiling. I am not sure if it's genuine, but it looks like it. She has a very pretty kind face. “ You’re the new girl, right?” I snorted and shook her hand. “ I prefer to be called Amanda. Nice to meet you too. And you are here because?” She looks at me as if there’s really something wrong. “Oh, don’t worry.” She must’ve noticed my expression. “ I’m the nicest girl in town and I’m just here because someone wants me to deliver this uniform. Also, your schedule is attached in this envelope.” I accepted the envelope and checked it out myself. I cringe seeing the sign of a bird holding a rose in its beak but realize it must be the symbol of the school. “Uh–thanks?” The girl laughed softly. “ Welcome, I guess? And if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask me. You should hurry up because classes here start at 9 in the morning. I think we’re in the same section. ” She pursed her lips, and now I was weirded out. I crossed my arms and looked at her, really annoyed. “Okay, what is it?” She pouted her lips then I was weirded out when she handed me a small mirror. I looked at myself and was horrified when I saw why she looked like she was about to laugh ever since I opened the door earlier. “ I—uhm…I should go,” she said, chuckling and walking out. Goddamn it, Blaze! That f*****g childish asshole!
