Arina's POV
That bastard. He really thinks i'll marry him, suddenly I wasn't in the mood for ice cream anymore and instead wandered around his mansion that he has me prisoner in. There were men positioned in every inch of the house and after my little stunt the first night, Raphael had all the windows shut tight.
I aimlessly wandered around the house with no real destination until I found a movie theater, it was one of the only rooms that had caught my attention, I didn't know how to work the screen though and I wasn't going to ask anyone around this place for help, so instead I went back to Raphael's room since it was the only room I was sure I knew how to get back to.
Grabbing the remote off the night stand I switch the television on to the vampire diaries and throw myself on the bed, taking a deep breath, I let it out hoping my stress will go with it. Raphael was the first person in a long time to see the bruises and scars that were left behind after the nights of terror that I endured, he didn't look at me with pity but instead he just stared at me, his face unreadable, I wonder what he was thinking.
The first ten episodes of the show are actually pretty good, so far I've learned that the Salvatore brothers are fighting over the girl Elena who looks like another girl named Katherine, the blonde girl named Caroline is pretty annoying, everything centers around the whiny one named Elena, and the Bonnie girl is a witch. Rolling over onto my back to get more comfortable I catch a glimpse of something black sticking out of a drawer in the closet that makes me sit up.
My curiosity ended up getting the best of me so I rushed over to the closet where the object was sitting, there was a drawer that was half open and the shiny metal of a gun was sticking out, carefully picking the weapon up I went back to laying on the bed. The gun felt smooth and cold in my hand, turning the gun towards the ceiling I let off three loud shots.
Concrete from the ceiling fell around me on the bed as two men rush in the room with panicked expressions on their faces and their guns drawn.
"What are you doing Mrs.Black?" the first guy asked as he lowered his gun, he looked to be in his early 20's and had light brown hair and brown eyes.
A light snort escape my lips at the name, I'd never be a Black even if my life depended on it.
"For starters never call me a Black again, my name is Arina, secondly I was bored so I found a way to pass the time. If there's a problem I'd be more than happy to leave and get out of your hair." I sweetly say hoping that they'll be dumb enough to let me go but instead he apologizes for bothering me and they both leave me alone.
It's almost dark out when Raphael comes walking in the room covered in blood from head to toe, he gave me a quick glance before looking at the ceiling and disappearing into the closet. When he reappears from the closet, he walks past the bed into the bathroom without saying a single word to me.
Half and hour later, Raphael comes out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and his curly black hair dripping wet, the man looked so divine I had to stop myself from checking him out.
"See something you like mi amore?" he smirked as he went to get dressed leaving me gaping like a fish.
"Yeah, just an egotistical prick, who left me in this house with absolutely nothing to do at all and stole my phone at some point. What's not to like?" I said sarcastically.
"Mi amore, there was plenty for you to do, there's a library, a game room, a pool, and a movie theater, and from the looks of my ceiling, it seems you also found one of my guns." he chuckled kicking a piece of concrete to the other side of the room now fully dressed unlike minutes before.
"Whatever, why we're you covered in blood?"
"I had some things to take care of, nothing for you to worry about, have you eaten since this morning?" he asked and now that I think about it, all I had today was ice cream. I nod my head no, he extends his hand for me to take, confused I grab it and stand up from my seat in the middle of the comfy bed.
"Let's go out to eat then," I looked down at what I was wearing when he said that.
"Uh I don't have anything to wear if you haven't noticed, I don't live here, this isn't my home so I don't have any clothes here," he simply walked out the room and seconds later he came back with all my bags from shopping yesterday. A part of me felt warm and fuzzy from the simple little action, he had actually cared enough to go back and get my bags or at least sent someone too.
Eyeing him, I grabbed one of the bags off the floor and made my way to the closet. Stepping out in a black tank top and light blue skinny jeans I put on my light blue converses. When I noticed I didn't have a jacket in any of my bags I walked back to the closet and grabbed a black leather jacket I seen hanging up.
"I'm wearing this, is that okay with you?"
"I'm perfectly fine with that mi amore, it looks better on you than it ever did me." he said ushering me out the door.
Leading me to the front door, he nodded at the two men from earlier that had bust into the room, when I had stopped, if he was taking me out to eat maybe I could escape tonight. I had told Raphael that I forgot to do something and rushed back up to his room, grabbing the gun I left on the bed I quickly put it on safety before tucking it into my waistband.
When I walked back downstairs Raphael was waiting patiently on his phone for me, looking handsome as ever. When he noticed me getting close he looked up with a pearly white beautiful smile.
The ride into town was quiet, I could feel Raphael's gaze on me every time we stopped at a red light, I didn't speak much though, I was too busy plotting how I would escape tonight without a phone or any way of getting home. Maybe I could get a random stranger to take me home.
The car had stopped and we were now sitting in front of the Golden Lotus, a restaurant I had always wanted to go too but could never afford, when Raphael had went up to the receptionist desk, the short lady behind it instantly paled and looked anywhere but at Raphael as she led us to a table and handed us our menus before rushing away.
"Why does everyone act so afraid of you? Even the staff in your house act like they are scared of you." I ask while flipping through the menu.
"I run the mafia, they'd be foolish not to fear me, plus I own this restaurant along with a couple others."
"I'm sorry so let me make sure i'm not going crazy from all of the recent trauma. You are the boss of a crime family, have loads of money, and can basically do whatever you please, and yet you want to wed me?" This has to be some crazy nightmare that i'm in.
"That's correct. You aren't just anyone to me Arina, I've always loved you, more than just the little girl in that house on the corner but as someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. You are strong and independent, not only does that make you a great person, but it'll make you a great wife, and a great mafia women."
A light laugh escaped my lips. He just said he runs the mafia like its nothing, and expect me to see everything normally. A waitress came over to take our orders while we talked for a while. I wanted to find out everything I could about him if it helped me escape him.
"Regardless of what you want. I have school, a job, a life, you can't just take that from me, you'll have to take me back at some point." I said in a matter of fact tone that just made him smirk and lean over the table.
"I don't have to do anything. Nobody, not even you, will force my hand, now please enjoy the night while it last and don't question me again on the topic."
If looks could kill, he'd be dead right now, my mother was worse than him and she didn't even piss me off this much. Sighing I felt the cool metal of the gun rub up against my stomach reminding me of its presence, I could pull it out at any moment but I wasn't one to ruin a free meal so I held back on the urge.
The table fell into silence until our food came. I had ordered baked feta pasta with a green tea while Raphael had ordered steak with red wine. We ate in silence as he tapped away on his phone, I missed my phone so much, I couldn't call Charity, or get help, it all felt so infuriating.
When we we're almost done our food I excused myself to the bathroom making sure he wasn't looking, when I was inside I pulled my hair into a sloppy bun and turned the water on to drown out the loud sound that I was about to make. I kicked the window out and pulled myself through making sure not to cut myself on any of the left over glass shards.
I knew the restaurant we we're at and my house had to be about an hour away so I ran the first few blocks to put some distance between Raphael and I. It wouldn't be long before he noticed what I did and I needed time to form an actual plan.
My throat was burning and my heart was beating a million miles per minute when it started to rain soaking me from head to toe, There was a gas station at least five miles from the restaurant, there were only three cars parked, two of which I assumed where the gas station directors, going into the store I looked around for a sign of anyone, there was only a tall light skin man who looked to be in his late twenties.
"Hey sir, i'm trying to get home, my boyfriend kicked me out of the car in the middle of an argument," the best lie i could come up with for the moment, "do you think you could give me a ride please?"
He looked me up and down skeptically before taking in my drenched clothes and leading me to his car. Sitting in the backseat, I lay my head on the side of the window and think about how everything went to s**t in just a matter of hours. My mother was alive, I was happy at the mall like a normal teenage girl, then my mother was dead and I belonged to a mafia boss. If that didn't scream crazy I don't know what did.
When I noticed the guy driving in the opposite direction of my house I sat up straighter locking eyes with him through the mirror. "Where the hell are you taking me?" I asked tugging on the door handle only to find it child locked.
"I apologize but its the orders Mrs.Black," the man had said making me cry and panic, back in the store he knew who I was and now he was taking me back to Raphael, I wanted to go anywhere but back there, tugging on the door harder and harder I began to kick at the glass and bang at the glass until my hands were bloody and bruised.
When the car pulled up in front the mansion, Raphael was standing there with an umbrella waiting, his jaw tense, and an angry expression on his face. The guy had came around and opened my door for me, getting out I stepped up to Raphael sizing him up before slapping him hardly, I was drenched and freezing, the last thing I needed was to end up back here.
"Did you really think you could run from me, I run this town, I own it, if you're going to be my wife its time you learn that."
That was the moment I lost any sanity I had left in this cruel world.
"Fine! You want a mafia wife so bad, i'll show you a mafia wife!" I said bitterly before pulling the gun from my waistband and shooting the man behind me, straight in the head. Dropping the gun at Raphael's feet, I walked past him defeated. Usually I wouldn't resort to killing but if you can't beat them, make them quit the game instead. If I'm not the same girl Raphael fell in love with, then hopefully he'll get rid of me instead.
