Calista “Stop that, you’re making me nervous.” I said to Mimi, who was driving us both to school. She has been jittery the closer we get to school and my unusually calm behaviour is getting affected the more I look at her. “I can’t help it, okay? Jeez, if anything, why are you so calm?” she asked before flashing the security guard a big smile as he opened the gate for us. “Because I have come to terms with it and, besides, I don’t think the kids would appreciate their visitor bolting for the second time from meeting them.
