The domineering steel gate of the school slowly got closer and closer as I was driving and Mimi was ready to jump out of her seat in her excitement as she presented her badge to the security guard to let us in.
“Good morning, Miss Naomi! Who’s this with you?” the security guard asked, and Mimi was practically grinning at this point.
“She’s the friend I was talking about last week!” she said as the guard handed back her badge. I don’t know why they still ask for her badge when they clearly know her. Well, I guess that means their security is top of the line, as expected.
