Chapter 7

P.O.V. ren

It felt weird at first being on all fours, jack looked amazing in his wolf form i had no words.

‘Do you feel the pull to him now?’ phoenix asks

‘Yes i can feel the pull it is so strong...this is going to be harder than i thought to resist not going after him’

‘You mean jumping his bones’ phoenix says laughing

‘You forget i can hear your thoughts’

‘I would never think like that’

‘Ren can you hear me?’ Jack asks in my head, making me jump back a bit.

‘Yes i can hear you….why can i hear you were not from the same pack?’ I asked hoping that he couldn't hear what pheonix and I were just talking about.

‘It's different with mates no matter what pack your in you can always hear your mate’

‘Let's go run now’ I don't want to talk any more. I take off making everyone run after me.

‘Goddess you're fast’ jacks says I just giggle letting phoenix take control.

P.O.V. jack

Watching ren run was amazing she is the fastest wolf i've ever seen, i have never seen a wolf like her before. And her shifting was so strange why was she glowing when the fire touched her. I'm going to have to talk to my mom and find out how she knew a fire would help her shift instead of the water like every wolf in the past.

Ren comes to a stop at the pond. I was so focused on how amazing she looked i hadn't realized that she looped around back to the clearing. I watch as she shifts back still staring at the moon on the surface. I shift back and walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist.

“What's wrong with me?” she says, setting her hands on mine.

“Baby nothing is wrong with you, why would you think something is wrong with you?” I ask , setting my chin on her head.

“They fire...it didn't burn...it didn't hurt me….so what is wrong with me?” she asks

“Baby there's nothing wrong with you i promise...you're just different and that's okay i think your amazing no matter what...and if you want answers we can talk to my mom she knew exactly what to do when you started to struggle” i say, she turns around and looks up at me her eyes now have a hint of red in her hazel eyes.

“You are so gorgeous...how did I get so lucky to get you as my mate? '' I say, pushing her gorgeous purple hair behind her ear. Her hair band snapped when she shifted.

“You really think that dont you?” she asks looking up at me.

“Yes i do, I've thought that since the day i saw you in the hall at school”

“I'm sorry to interrupt this sweet sight...but we should probably get ren inside” my mom says coming up behind us. I turn around to look at her.

“What's the rush on getting inside?” i ask confused

“Don't worry about it right now but i really think we should stay on our pack lands tonight so lets get going” she says concern thick in her words.

Ren bends over and grabs her clothes and starts getting dressed. I wonder what's actually going on and why she won't tell me. I walk over to Ren and grab my clothes.

“Is it just me or is your mom being a little weird and why can't i just stay at my house?” she asks, turning around and looking at me.

“She is being weird but i have no idea why” i say pulling my pants and shirt on.

“Ren we need to hurry,” Beth says, walking up and grabbing her hand and practically dragging her back towards the house.

“Beth, what is going on?” Ren says in a rush trying to keep up with her sister. She was moving so fast I had to run to keep up with her.

P.O.V. ren

‘Phoenix do you have any idea what is going on?’ i ask as beth dragged me through the trees to the house.

‘ yes i do’

‘Do you care to let the rest of us in on what's going on?’ I ask her to try to stay on my feet as we break through the trees.

‘They didnt follow us when we went on that run ren and there was a reason why’

‘okay ….?’ I am now getting concerned about what is going on.

‘The way we shifted it very very rare...every wolf gets help from the water to help them shift thats why a lot of packs have shifting parties for the water….but us we require the assistance of fire this is why my name is pheonix’

‘So were different that doesn't explain why they would be acting this way right now’

‘All I know is that this has something to do with the day your parents died….’

‘Your not telling me everything phoenix’

‘Our mom was just like us she was a fire wolf….fire wolves are special’

‘Special how’ I ask as Beth puts me in Jack's car and climbs into the back.

‘I will let the people who actually know explain this’

I groan not realizing that I made the sound out loud. Jack looks over at me”are you okay?” he asks with true concern on his face.

“I'm fine just frustrated that no one will actually tell me what's going on, not even phoenix will tell me what is going on” I say with the irritation thick in my voice so Beth can understand how irritated I am.

“I know you're frustrated and I know you want answers but we really need to go before something goes wrong '' Beth says, sounding very urgent.

Jack starts to pull out of the driveway followed by his parents and the pack warriors. I can see the concern and worry all over Jack's face. I can tell he doesn't like not knowing what is going on.

‘Ren you need to prepare yourself. What they will tell you when we get to their pack won't be easy to hear,’ phoenix says.

‘What do you….’ right then a truck comes out of nowhere and slams into our car. My head hits my window as we are flung into the air and everything goes black

P.O.V. rose

We watch as Jack's car gets hit by a massive truck and the car gets flung into the air making it roll. Four men jump out of the truck and start running towards the overturned car. We all jump out after and go after them. Whatever they are planning on doing is not good.

We all fight to keep them away from the car. Then all of a sudden they run and drive off in the truck they came in. I was relieved that we were able to stop them from doing whatever they were going to do.

“Rose we have a very big problem” jerimy says from behind me

“What's wrong….” I start to ask as I turn around and see Ren's door ripped open and her gone.

“We….need...to get out of here now we will figure this out later” i say trying to keep my cool.

The warriors grab Beth and Jack and put them in our suv and we rush back to the pack doctor to get Jack and Beth checked out.

“Jack is not going to like this when he wakes up” Thomas says from the back seat cradling a bawling katie.

“We will find her, we have to for my son and for our pack. They do not understand who they are messing with. And who they just took and what she means to all of us.” i say.

We arrive at the pack doctor and rush Beth and Jack inside.

“Doc, we need you to check these two out, they were in a really bad crash...where do you want them?” I ask the following, jerimy and thomas.

“You can put them right here” she says pointing at two beds. They lay them and the doctor gets to work.

“It doesn't look like they have any damage that their wolves can't heal, they will be up in a few hours” the doctor says putting her stuff away.

“Thank goddess...now jeremy we need to talk '' I say walking out of the office.

P.O.V. jack

I feel cold but warm all at the same time. And then i remember what happened and shoot straight up and look around i see beth right next to me she's got some scrapes and bruises but that's about it.

‘Where's ren???!!!!’ onyx says in a panic.

‘ she's probably in a different room is all we will find her calm down’ i say to onyx as i get up to start looking for her.

I walk out into the hall to find Thomas and Katie sitting in some chairs. Thomas is trying to comfort her, she's crying...why is she crying were all fine id feel if something was wrong with ren. I walk up to them concerned.

“Hey guys were all fine i promise….where's Ren” i ask, thomas looks up at me with a sad look on his face.

“Ill tell you what happened but you can't take it out on me or katie” thomas says standing up putting katie behind him.

“Just tell me what is going on Thomas,” I snapped.

Thomas takes a deep breath and sighs “the people that hit you distracted us someone was waiting in the tree line we didn't see or smell them...when we were trying to fight off them wolfs from the truck who ever was hiding took Ren we haven't been able to find them yet” thomas says sounding truly scared.

“No….no this can't be happening it's not possible” I say dropping to the ground.

“We will find her. I promise man the whole pack is devastated...your parents have already reached out to all the other packs to help in the search,” Thomas says, getting down on his knees in front of me. Beth walks and notices us.

“no...no ….no...they took her” she says coming up behind me.

‘Those rogue bastards took my phoenix' onyx says

“Jack, we will find her. I promise we won't stop until we find her, '' Beth says, anger now showing in her voice.

“I need to see my parents” I say , getting up and walking out the door and heading towards the pack house.
