Chapter 9

P.O.V. ren

The last thing i remember is jack saying i am home. We are safe but why is it that i dont feel right. I feel off in a way, im not sure why.

‘Phoenix why cant i move’

‘ they have you sedated to hel;p us heal. We’ll be able to heal soon i promise….just calm down’

I try to relax but its har my body feels heavy. Then all of a sudden my senses atart coming back and i can feel someone right next to me grabbing my hand. Tingles and sparks going up my hand.

“Ren i hope you can hear me….you have to wake up i cant live without you tis week has been so hard with you gone….you need to come back to me” jack say. I try to tighten my hand around his. He gasps which tells me i was able to grip his hand back.

“Oh thank the goddess. Ren open your eyes please i need to see your gorgeous firey eyes” he says, with so much need in his voice. I try to open my eyes but fail.

‘Ren you have to relax or it wont work’ phoenix says feeling my frustration.

I take a slow breath trying to calm my self, and slowly my eyes open. I can tell that someone is over me but i cant see who it is.

“Oh ren i was so scared that you werent going to come back to me….that i would never see those eyes looking back at me ever again” jack says touching my face.

“Jack” i say with a sigh as my vision starts to come back and i can finally see his face.

“Are you okay?” he says sitting down on the bed next to me.

“Water…” i say with a very scatchy voice. He jumps up and gets me water and rushes back to me holding the cup out.

“Can you help me im not at full strength yet” i say with a slight smile.

“Of course my little wolf” he says tipping the cup towards my lips. I drink the water like i hadnt had a drink in forever.

“Your going to be okay”

“I feel off something isnt right” i say shaking my head as i start to sit up.

“Ugh” i cry out in pain coming from my right leg and ribs, i notice jack wince in pain.

“One of our wolves attacked you not realizing who you were” jack sayys pulling the blanket revealing the bandages. I sit up straight forgetting about the pain for a second.

“I need everyone…i have an idea who took me” i say covering my self up again.

“I will mind link my dad to get them here…i dont want to leave you” he says and i relax a little bit.

“Now stop moving around cause it hurts” he says with a sigh.

“Can you feel it?” i ask confused.

“Yes i can…thats not the only thing i can feel. I felt when you got injected with wolfsbane…that was hell i could only imagine what you felt” he says caressing my face.

“It was horrible i couldnt fully feel phoenix….then i couldnt move at all…”i say looking down remembering one thing that happened that i refuse to tell him.

‘You need to help me…we need to get you fully checked out ren’ phoenix says concerned.

“Onyx just told me what phoenix said….what happened….you can tell me anything” just then every one rushes into the room. Katie pushes past everyone and jumps on the bed accidentally hitting my leg sending a surge of pain through my body.

“Katie be careful” jack says backing up a bit so katie can hug me.

“Katie..oh how i missed you”

“I thought id never see you again” she says sobbing into my neck, i start to rub her back trying to calm her down.

“Im here and im not going any where i promise…now i need to tell you guys why i asked you all here.”i say as she climbed off the bed.

“I wasnt that far from here and the weird part is that i came from the direction of our old pack lands… im not sure if i was kept on pack lands or close by it” i say trying to push my self up without jaring my leg or ribs. Jacks parents and beth all share a look.

“So what our contacts have told us is that lately there has been alot of rogue sitings near your old pack we havent found out for sure if levi has anything to do with them or not” rose says.

“But now that you are here on our pack lands we can better protect you..when you are feeling better and the doctor says you can leave we need to talk to ren…we need to tell you some things” jerimy says giving me a pointe dlook. The doctor walks in just then.

“You all cant be in here..now leace so i can check her leg and other wounds” she says moving past everyone.

“Were leaving right now..ren we will see you later okay” rose says, pulling Katie out of the room, as soon as everyone leaves jack looks at her.

“Can you do a full check up on her…”jack says concerned about what happened that I'm not telling him.

“Then you must leave in order for me to check her out fully” the doctor says.

“I'm not leaving her side i just got her back”

“Jack im not going any whee leave so she can do her job”

“You can stand right outside the door,” she says, giving him a pointed look. He groans and turns to me.

“ i won't go far i promise…” he says giving me a kiss on the cheek, father he leaves i turn to the doctor and she gives me a look.

“What are you not telling the young alpha?” she asks, pulling the blanket down to look at my leg.

I sigh and look down at my hands “while I was under the full effects of the wolfsbane…one of the rogues….um…”she interrupts me.

“You do not need to finish sweetheart but he is right. I need to do a full check up on you to make sure that there isn't any damage”. She says with a sympathetic look on her face. I sigh relieved that I didn't have to finish what I was saying.

“Now I need you to take the gown off so I can take a look at you,” she asks, taking a step back. I pull the gown over my head and she gasps seeing the bruises that cover my body.

“By the goddess, what have they done to you?” she says with sympathy in her voice.

“I don't fully know they had me drugged the whole time i was so out of it”i say as i lay back down

“Can you stand? i want to look at you”

I nod and move to stand up i use the bed rail for support, just then jack bursts thru the door

“What are you doing to her” he snaps then stops and gasps.

“Jack you need to leave” the doctor says, rising over to him and starts pushing him out of the room.

“No i'm not leaving…ren what happened you need to tell me” he says as i grab the blanket and wrap it around myself, starting to feel ashamed of myself.

I hear the door close, while Jack pounds and yells at the door, she walks back over to me.

“You are going to have to tell him what happened at some point child” she says i drop the blanket so she can look at my other wounds.

“I know…im just not ready yet”

“If you give me permission i can tell him” she says turning me around and seeing the whip wounds on my back, I just nod. She turns around and walks to the cabinets on the other side of the room to grab some stuff. When she comes back she sets rolls of gauze and ointment on the bed.

“Now this is not going to feel very good,” she says, opening the container and starting to put it on my back. I gasp and lean forward on the bed railing. After she's done, she helps me stand back up and starts wrapping the gauze around my body.

“ I'm going to look at you some more… please lay down and put your needs up” she says with a sigh. I do as she says and she puts more of the f=gause and ointment makes me wince in pain. She take a closer look at me.

“You have some pretty bad damage to your v****a but there is nothing I can really do about those wounds…I'm going to suggest that you stay here for another night so your wolf can heal you a little more.” she says walking over to the door letting jack back in the room. I cover myself back up as Jack rushes over to the bed.

“doctor …i give you my permission” i say before she walks out.

“Then jack we need to talk please come out into the hall with me” she says stepping out of the room.jack looks over at me confused.

“Give her permission for what ren?”

“Just go with her she will explain everything” I say with a comforting look. He sighs and stands up “ ill be back” he says giving me a kiss on the cheek and walks out of the room.

The talk with the doctor didn't go very well. Jack ended up taking off in a rage from the pack doctor, this is why I didn't want to tell him what happened. I get a mind lunk from katie and beth at the same time.

“What did you do to Jack ren?”
