The meeting seemed like it lasted forever. Lilith stood by her mother silently waiting for them to finish their conversation. She couldn’t help but look at the man called Samuel. He was tall and had thick dark hair and dark eyes to match. She didn’t know if she believed in love at first site, but if it was real then this must be what it felt like. She tried her best to pay attention but every time Samuel looked at her she felt weak. Her mind could only picture his lips on hers.
The conversation was finally coming to an end and Samuel took this as an opportunity to mind link Thadius. “I’m not ready to leave just yet.” Thadius was understandably confused, why was Samuel acting so odd? They had known each other since childhood and he had never seen this new look in Samuels eyes. If he didn’t know any better he would have thought Samuel had just met his mate. It was impossible tho, they were surrounded by witches. It wasn’t unheard of for a wolf to find a mate that wasn’t a lycan, after all there were a few humans in the pack, but a witch?
The peace talk was going well, Thadius and Hannah both agreed that they would meet again to iron out the details of the treaty. They both still had to reach out to the other packs and covens to make the treaty binding in all territories. All in all it was a good start. Thadius stood and to everyone’s surprise Lilith spoke. She hadn’t said a word since entering the room. Her eyes were locked into Samuels gaze “would you like a tour?” Immediately he stood and blurted out “yes”. They hurried out of the room and in hand leaving Hannah and Thadius wondering what the hell just happened?
Two months later
Samuel and Lilith were now inseparable, she had moved into the territory with Samuel, for the most part the pack had accepted her. The peace talks were progressing and everything seemed to be on track. There were still a few pack members that didn’t agree to the treaty but the Alphas say was final. The final draft of the treaty was almost complete, but Hannah had a last minute change.
Hannah arrived at the pack house and was met with a warm welcome. Thadius and his wife Anna greeted her, followed by Samuel and Lilith. They entered the meeting room and each took a seat except Samuel who stood directly behind Lilith. Thadius was curious about the last minute change. It was like Hannah could read his mind “ I know you’re all wondering about my request. After talking with Samuel I have decided that the treaty alone is not enough. Our two worlds should be bound with a union, a member from your pack and a member from my coven. It should be added to the treaty to prove the two sides are accepting of peace.” With that Liliths eyes filled with tears and she turned to face the man behind her. He was already at eye level perched on one knee with a ring displayed in his hands. “Will you be mine from now until the end? I love you, please say yes”
