Andrew
I had so many questions and it appeared she had the answers. I was drawn to her but I instinctively took a few steps back. Suddenly the voice in my head reminded me she was ours and to stay put, listen to her. She spoke again but this time she said it aloud, probably to keep from spooking me again. “My name is Robyn and this is my Beta Marcus. I’ll give you access the crescent moon territories. It seems that all I’ve said is a foreign language to you and we need to get to the bottom of it and soon.” I introduced myself simply “Andrew.”
Robyn nodded and Marcus did the same. She didn’t remove her eyes from me as she spoke to Marcus “call your father, have him gather as many of the elders as he can and have them meet us at the pack house.” Marcus got on his phone and stepped away giving us a little privacy. “How old are you?” She said with her eyebrows still furrowed. I responded back “nineteen, why?” The puzzled look on her face never faded as she spoke again “how can you be nineteen and so oblivious to who you are? Your wolf should have come forward years ago.” Her words were interrupted by my inner dialogue “I’m here”.
“What the hell” I said it out loud before I could stop myself. My wolf and my inner dialogue were one in the same, but why had I not known this? Why did it not say anything before now? Robyn must have suspected the conversation because her expression changed and her eyes had an understanding as she stayed silent to give my wolf and I a chance to talk.
“We are the same, we are one but I’ve been trapped. It’s time for you to seek out the truth and I had to stay silent until you were ready. That time is now, we have found our mate and our pack. She will help us, and we will protect her with our life. She is ours and we are hers, do not reject her.” I shook my head, I understood what my wolf had said, he had always been with me guiding me and acting as my conscience. The pieces of my troubled past were finally starting to make sense.
I would not reject this woman, I barely knew her but I also knew I would die for her. She was my mate, whatever that meant. I knew from the words my wolf spoke that our connection was more than one sided. She would die for me she would stand by my side until the end. I realized at that moment as my eyes began to sting that I was no longer alone in this world.
