Lana couldn’t begin to explain how mad she was at Jake. It was a mistake for him to get involved with Alyssa again. Lana was one of the many people trying to pick him up after Alyssa didn’t come back. She knew Jake tried to hide how hurt he was when Alyssa left, but Lana knew.
It bothered her that Alyssa came back after all that time away. That she thought she could just pick back up where she and Jake left off. It wasn’t fair to Jake.
And Lana wasn’t going to stand by and watch Alyssa rip him to shreds again.
“It’s not what you think,” Jake immediately tried to defend himself.
Lana crossed her arms and glared at him. “Please, tell me what it’s like then.”
