The Little Luna

Heated embrace

Vespian POV:

Our paw beats were soft on the forest floor despite how fast Eli was racing through the forest, try as I might to explain that she was safe with Blood Moon’s Beta he wanted to see for him self. And if I was honest, so did I.

Once we got closer to town I realized I had never been told where they were but Eli was leading us back towards the school.

“Why are we going towards the school? Can you smell her?” It was a little far for us to be able to catch her scent, but maybe he caught something I hadn’t?

“Ellie told me.” Eli said matter of factly.

“Wait, what?! How? We’re to far away to mind link?’” That was impossible. Wasn’t it? If there was one thing I was learning where Luna was involved, it was that nothing seemed impossible anymore.

“I’m not sure, when I reached out looking for any trace of her she just kind of popped up in my mind, she said they were at the school.”

I wasn’t going to question it again, I doubt either of us fully understood, and I wasn’t looking a gift horse in the mouth. Soon we were at the edge of the forest at the schools parking lot, Eli gave over control and I shifted back into human form pulling on my pants and shirt quickly.

I didn’t get to button my shirt up, before I could I felt pressure on my shoulders not quite painful, but almost, enough to grab my attention. It took a half second for me to realize it wasn’t happening to me, but to my mate. Someone had their hands on my Little Luna. Facing towards the school I rushed out of the cover of the trees, my eyes immediately found my mate, with a tall man with brown hair standing in front of her, his hands on her shoulders. Even as I felt red hot anger course through my body the pressure in my shoulders turned painful and I lost control for a split second, a roar of a growl left my chest and I was storming across the pavement to snatch my mate away from who ever the hell that wolf thought he was. He’d learn to never touch her again.

Before I even got half way to them he dropped his hands from her shoulders and stumbled back away from her a few steps. Luna turned to face me and her sweet face caught my eye. My little mates warm honey eyes locked onto mine knocking the breath out of my chest and the bluster out of my sails. A smile lit up her face and I swear the sun shown a little duller in shame. She was running towards me, her mahogany hair blowing out behind her and when she reached me she threw her arms around my waist, breathing in my scent deeply.

My arms wrapped around her and pulled her tight against me, my head dipping down to breath in the sweet earthy fragrance of Roses and lavender that was Luna’s special unique scent. I felt my body calm and my heart rate slow, the red haze in my mind began to clear as Eli also calmed down due to Luna’s presence.

After a few seconds Luna leaned back, she kept her hands pressed to my bare stomach as she looked into my eyes, as if she was searching. She must have found what she was looking for because she smiled again and stepped back, unfortunately she took her hands off of my skin and all I wanted was for us to be touching skin to skin again, as soon as possible.

“Vespian.” Was all her sweet voice said before I was smiling at her like a fool. That was my name on those beautiful lips. “Are you calm now? Your eyes were doing that glowing thing again, like they do when you’re mad?” Luna’s voice sounded uncertain, was she scared of upsetting me?

“Yes, I’m fine. I was just upset because I felt your pain and when I saw…” I trailed off as I realized why I was mad. The anger rose in my again, and my eyes snapped towards the man who had been with her, had hurt her. I recognized him now as my vision was no longer clouded with red hot furry, Beta Luca, of Blood Moon. “You! How dare you place your hands on a Luna! My Luna!” I took a step toward the nervous looking Beta but delicious tingles erupted on my chest, when I glanced down it was to see Luna’s small, pale hand against my tanned skin. My eyes darted to hers and she shook her head no.

“Calm down Vespian. It wasn’t his fault. He didn’t mean to. I brought up a sore subject and he was shocked is all.” Her honey colored eyes darted down, looking at her feet, her head bent almost in shame.

I hooked a finger under her chin and lifted her eyes to mine, when her face was bent up towards mine once more my fingers drifted to the side of her face and pushed a lock of stray hair behind her ear. “It’s fine Luna, I understand, I am calm.”

Luna’s eyes closed briefly before she smiled up at me sweetly. As much as I wanted to stand there all day and just look at her face, I wanted her alone. I stepped up beside Luna and she turned to face Luca once more, her hand slipped into mine before we started back to where she’d left him on the side walk.

“Thank you for keeping her safe while I was busy.” I said, taking my hand out of Lunas just long enough to shake Luca’s hand. I squeezed just slightly harder then I needed, hoping the barely noticeable wince of Luca’s face meant he understood to never touch my mate again. I slipped my hand back into Luna’s, entwining our fingers, the tingles that swept up my arm sent warmth through my chest.

“My pleasure Alpha.” Luca answered with a stiff bow of his head. “I’ll be going then I guess. Have a nice day Luna.” With that he walked around us to the parking lot. We watched as he climbed in his truck, the engine started with a roar rivaling my own from just moments ago, and with a short wave he peeled out of the parking lot and down the road.

“Alright my Little Luna, where are we going?” I looked down at my little mate with a huge grin on my face as we went to her car. I opened the drivers door for her and closed it softly before going around and climbing in the passenger side door. Right away I wondered how Orion fit into this tiny car, my legs were cramped up and my head almost touched the roof.

When I heard laughing ringing from beside me I looked over to see Luna dissolved into a fit of laugher and giggles, a tear trailed down her cheek that she quickly wiped away before fishing a single key out of her pocket and starting up the engine.

“We are going to Libby’s house.” Luna managed to say in between giggling. “Do you have any idea how comical you look? All scrunched up in the seat?”

“I can tell you it doesn’t feel comical.” I muttered as I tried to scoot the seat back to get more comfortable, but of course it was already as far back as it would go. “So who is Libby? And why are we going to her house?”

“Libby is my best friend.” Luna said as she flicked on the blinker and pulled the car out and to the left. “And we are going to her house because I left my backpack in the cafeteria when I made a run for it this morning, it wasn’t at the school so I think Libby may have taken it home for safe keeping.” The blinker switched on again as she turned off of Main St and onto Bunker Rd. Odd name for a street.

“Oh yeah, the she-wolf you entered the cafeteria with this morning.” I said off hand, trying to figure out if I could recline the seat back a little and get my head off of the roof.

“What do you mean she-wolf?” Luna asked as her wide eyes flicked to mine and back to the road.

“I mean a female werewolf. They are often referred to as she-wolfs.” I forgot she knew nothing of this world she’d been thrown into.

“But, Libby is human! Isn’t she?!” Oh, now I see the problem. My Luna hadn’t realized that most of the people she knew were most likely werewolf’s.

“Umm, I mean.”

What the hell did I say to that? ‘Sorry to tell you that the girl you trust more then anyone else in the world has been keeping an earth shattering secret from you?’ Nah.

“How do you know she’s a werewolf?” Luna asked me as her speed picked up a bit and she took a sharp turn onto another street.

“Luna, calm down. I’d rather not be in a wreck today.” I joked. The glare she shot at me told me it was not the time for jokes. “I know because she smelt like a wolf. Most of the kids in the school are wolfs.”

“My whole life is a damn lie!” She exclaimed. I half expected to have to ask her to calm down again, but she pulled the car over on the side of the country road we had been flying down, flicked her seat belt off and jumped out of the car.

I pushed my door open, unfolded my self out of her car and made my way around to where Luna was pacing back and forth on the road muttering to herself.

“Is anything in my life normal anymore? Everyone is some kind of supernatural being with the ability to shift into a large dog. The people who use to ignore my existence are the very people protecting me now. I have a voice in my head that belongs to another being who lives inside of me. Oh and I may be some kind of super special wolf who may or may not have have other wolves hunting her down to kill her.” Everything was muttered so fast and so low that I was sure she didn’t mean for me to hear.

Luna didn’t notice me until I was right in her way and she smacked into me, her hands spreading out on my stomach to steady her self and my own hands came out to cover her hands, keeping them trapped there. My mind blurred as heat spread through my stomach and straight to my groin. My breath hitched when her beautiful honey eyes looked up into mine and I could see the same heat there.

“Luna, I…”

“Kiss me.” She whispered, her wide eyes glancing between my lips and my eyes. Damn if those words didn’t shoot desire straight to my shaft.

I gulped, moving one hand to cup the side of her face and the other to her side, bringing her just a hair closer to me. Her fingers toyed with the exposed skin of my stomach and chest, her fingertips trailing the outline of my abs, sending shocks of pleasure through me.

“Are you sure Luna?” My voice was husky and barely sounded like it belonged to me. “I have to know you’re sure.” I added, barely a whisper.

“Yes. Yes i’m sure. I don’t think I’ve ever been more sure of anything in my life.” She breathed out, closing her eyes and lifting her face. “Please Vespian.” She whispered.

And that was it. That was all I needed. I leaned down and pressed my mouth to hers. Fire erupted when our lips met, sending flash after flash of red hot desire through my body. Our lips glided together in a dance that left both of us gasping for air and delving back for more. Luna drew my bottom lip between her teeth and gently bit down, drawing a gasp from me and giving her an opening to delve her hot, velvety tongue into my mouth. My Luna may be shy around almost everyone else, but she took what she wanted from me in this moment.

When her fingers curved into my skin and her nails scraped my skin I felt like I was going to go crazy, I wrapped my hands around her waist and lifted her up, setting her on the hood of her little red Honda and half laying down over her, never breaking our kiss. Luna wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck, groaning into my mouth when my hand dipped under her shirt and slowly slide over her stomach and ribs.

“Stop!” Shouted Eli in my mind.

I blinked, trying to clear my vision even as Luna pulled my head down for another lustful kiss. I softly growled into the kiss, nipping at her bottom lip before kissing across her cheek and down her chin, when my lips grazed her throat my Little Luna shivered under me, arching up into me.

“Stop now Vespian! You will both regret this if you continue!” Eli’s voice vibrated through my mind, his deafening growl pulling me from my lust crazed state and to reality. The reality where I had my mate, the love of my life, on the hood of her car, on the side of a road, with my hand up her shirt and my hard c**k pressing into her core through our pants. Very tight pants in my case.

“s**t! s**t! s**t!” I thought. What in the hell was I doing?

As I gained my wits back I leaned back, away from my very beautifully turned on mate, with her kiss swollen lips and lust-filled hooded eyes. I took her small wrists in my hands and gently pinned them to the car, taking deep breaths to steady my self before unwrapping her legs from my waist and sliding both of us off of the car and to our feet. After making sure Luna was steady on her feet I took a few steps back. The smell of her arousal was swirling around us and it was making me crazy.

“Luna.” I managed to gasp out. “I’m sorry, I lost control. The taste of you, the feel of you, even the smell of you, goddess, it’s to much to take.” My voice was still low and husky with desire and my heart was still hammering in my chest. I watched her face as it slowly dawned on her what had happened. I expected her to be upset. Upset at my losing control, upset that she had lost control, hell maybe even upset I had stopped but instead she smiled.

Her eyes were wide and her lips were turned up into a beautiful happy smile. Her hands absently fixed her shirt and moved up to smooth her hair, before her fingers came to her lips, touching them as if in awe. When her eyes met mine I wasn’t sure what she was going to say, but at least I knew she was not unhappy.

“That was… amazing.” She whispered. “Is it always like that? Kissing I mean? Do you usually lose control like that? In the heat of the moment, just drifting away on the ecstasy? Or is this something special? Between mates? It feels special. I mean, I’ve never kissed anyone, but this feels special.” Her cheeks were already flushed with passion but as she finished her explanation she blushed and looked away in embarrassment.

Stepping forward I lifted her face to mine once more and pecked her lips softly, sparks flying between us. When I leaned back I matched her smile with one of my own. “I’ve never kissed anyone else either, you’re my first. But I don’t think it’s always like that, I think it’s special, it might be because we’re mates or it could be for some other reason, but it’s definitely special. You’re definitely special.” Looking up and down the road I was relieved to see that no other cars had come along during our heated embrace. Opening the driver door for Luna she flashed me a shy smile of thanks before I shut it and ran around to the passenger side, sliding into the cramped space and turning to my lovely Luna. “Let’s go meet Libby!”
