CHAPTER 4

After a long bath and an hour of sleep, Aiden went outside in the cool evening when the air was cold, the evening breeze moved across his face. He took a deep breath, taking in the atmosphere because it was soothing and it was something Aiden hadn’t experienced in two days. He took the liberty to walk around because his master and his friend Flea sat in a corner of the house having a conversation which he actually didn’t seem to care about. As he walked about the house, he found a stable where the horses were kept and went inside. As he went inside, he found out that the stable was actually a huge one with an estimate of a hundred horses there as he walked through types of horses with different colors, even funny-looking ones. He suddenly was stopped by a horse who was neighing loudly as he got to the front of the horse. As he turned, it was a metallic black horse, which was weird because he had never seen that color of horse before. He went into the stable and the horse started to get uneasy. He slowly went to the horse. As he got there, he put his hand on the horse and started to stroke its mane slowly and as he did that, the horse began to calm down. After the horse was calm, Aiden mounted the horse and rode it out of the stable and saw Jesse and Flea outside the stable. They marveled that Aiden tamed the horse by himself with no help and it was something that rarely happens. Flea told Aiden to take the horse for a ride and gladly Aiden beckoned the horse to move and it started off with an incredible amount of speed that made Aiden fall off. He tried it again and this time he hit the side of the horse with his legs and the horse started moving slowly just like he had watched in movies when he was back at home. As the horse moved, it began to increase its pace and Aiden rode it perfectly. After riding a few laps, Aiden took the horse back to the stable. He felt fulfilled and happy because having a horse was his dream and having one so elegant as that made him feel proud of his horse. Coming back to where Flea and his master were seated, Flea beckoned him to sit down. He went ahead and sat with them, then Flea asked him about the future as he was about to answer. He realized that his master had never asked him what the future was like or anything and he asked him why Jesse replied and told him that if he held to what made him weak, he would lose focus on what would make him strong. Aiden never understood what he meant by that but he went ahead to tell Flea about cell phones, computers, airplanes, cars, television and all other things that existed in the future. Amazed by all those things, Flea asked him for more details about it and they ended up talking into the night. When Jesse saw how late it had become, he retired to bed that night, leaving Flea and Aiden behind to talk about what they had to talk about. Early the next morning, Jesse came and woke Aiden up for him to get their things together for the journey. Ladily e woke up, sorted their things together, went to take his horse and met up with Jesse who was already outside. As they were about to leave, Aiden asked Flea why the color of his horse was like that, because he had never seen that color of horse before. Flea replied with a smile and told him the answers belonged to him. Infuriated by the way he is always answered by his master and Flea, he started riding, holding the rope of the donkey with one and controlling the horse with the other. Jesse looked at Flea and gave him a farewell gesture. Flea then told him ‘Train the boy with caution. He doesn’t know his full potential yet’. Jesse smiled and rode to meet up with Aiden. After riding for 7 hours straight, Jesse told him to take a different part and he should be careful and that the coordinators could be really extra. Jesse took the donkey and left Aiden to go down his own path. Swallowing a large chunk of spit, Aiden took his horse and rode down the road. Riding into the road, Aiden turned back and saw he had moved pretty far into the forest. He kept riding inside, swoosh!! An arrow passed his head at a very slight distance between his head and the arrow. He quickly took out his rod, got down from his horse and stood guard waiting for the next attack. Suddenly, two men with swords come out of nowhere to attack him.Aiden noticed they didn’t have the normal type of sword and the swords were bent like the swords of the dofrakis in Game Of Thrones, a series the Dofrakis watched when he was back home. Swinging his rod round, waiting for the first attack, the first person runs towards him and swings his sword but Aiden blocks it, uses his rod, stretches it and uses it to drag him closer and gives him an uppercut. As the first man felt the ground, Aiden saw the shadow of the second guy. He from above, he rolled to escape, saw a stone, picked it up, threw it up and then twisted it before kicking the stone which went straight to the forehead of the other guy. He smiled because that was a move he learnt from his master after he used it against him in training. The boys remained on the floor. This made Aiden suspicious because he knew the assassins were a lot stronger than that and, moreover, his master had warned him about the obstacles, so it could not just be easy like that. He mounted his horse and continued riding forward as he looked back. The two men weren’t on the floor again. Reaching a bridge, a very big bridge which was only large enough for one man to walk for a time, Aiden suspected something was going to happen there, so he got down from his horse and made the horse go. When the horse went through successfully, as he got halfway to the bridge, arrows began to fly towards him. He fended off as many as he could fend off and dodged the ones he couldn’t fend off. As soon as the arrows stopped, men came swinging with ropes trying to attack him. He fought them off. Some landed on the bridge and got hit multiple times, but he still continued to fight. As he continued to fight, it seemed there was no end to the men and him. He was becoming tired because he had caused damage to his body, falling on one knee and trying to stand up. Aiden’s eyes glowed and his horse came running towards him, knocking off the people from the bridge and carrying him across with his mouth. Aiden, reaching the other side, felt strange because as his eyes glowed he felt a strange power flow through him and a strange connection was established, still not knowing how he did it or what he did with the bruises on his body. He mounted his horse and continued riding forward, hoping that was the last obstacle he would have to face. A few minutes after he had experienced that last obstacle, about twenty men came and surrounded him. Very tired and hurt, Aiden went down from his horse and sat down in a meditation shape, took a deep breath and then out, his horse walked away from him like he was being told what to do. The first wave of men came rushing towards him. He turned on his back, hitting five men with his legs, jumps on one and twists his neck, then jumps again to hit another guy off and lands. Landing, he took out his rod, does some acrobatic moves and gestures to them to go. Rushing, they came in and he cleared out that wave of men as the last one fell down, another wave came in and he cleared them with bruises on his body. Another wave came. Aiden realizes he has been fighting with her. He opening his. He number. He people. The environment surrounding him makes him weak as he falls to the ground. His eyes glow again and then he feels overwhelmed with power and beats the next three waves of assassins that come. Once he finished, he fell down weak and his clothes tattered, looking around, seeing his horse by his side. The next thing, he falls down and faints.
