CHAPTER 3

1367 Words
Aiden held his weapon in his hand, which is like a long rod and has a retractable knife at both of the edges. The weapon choice was strange to Jesse because he knew Aiden had been trained as a knight. He at least expected him to choose a katana or a normal sword because he thought he was trying to copy him because it was the same weapon he used, but Aiden was surprisingly good at it. Well back to Aiden, as he stood taking a fighting stance holding his weapon at his back, at a high speed a coconut came flying his way from the left. He summersaults, releases the knife from one side and slices it open and lands. As he lands, another one comes flying his way at the same type of speed he bends and dodges. He stands up again. He sees multiple coconuts coming from different sides. He starts dodging the ones he could dodge and cutting the one he could cut. He jumps and cuts the last one and lands in grand style as he stands up. A coconut flies straight to the middle of his head and bangs him straight on the head and falls. Jesse jumps down from a very high tree and lands without a fuss or making a sound. Aiden stands up with his forehead swollen. Jesse laughs at him and tells him that he isn’t ready to fight protests, that he is ready for proper training. Jesse tells him to attack him. He tries to hit him, but as usual, Jesse dodges it. Aiden tries to hit him again with a chain of attacks, but this time Aiden’s movement has become more smooth and faster, as he was coming at him with the attacks. As he had noticed the improvement in Aiden’s movement, he was still able to evade the attacks with ease. When Aiden was done with attacking him, he sat down breathing heavily out of breath and infuriated, because after all what he had learned and the time he had spent, he could not land a single blow on his master. Noticing the disappointment on his face, Jesse gestured him to get into a meditating position. He urges him to clear his mind and breathe till the only thing he can hear is the sound of his own heartbeat. After a few minutes of trying, Aiden still couldn't relax. Then Jesse tells him to block everything, and just. As he tried it again slowly, he began to fall into solitude and then the only thing he could hear was his heartbeat. As Jesse sees he is in a relaxed state, he throws a rock at him Aiden hears an external sound coming his way and without knowing he moves out of the way next thing he hears a heavier sound coming towards him and he swings, uses his hands and uses his legs to attack and hits Jesse. Happy, he opens his eyes and sees he landed a blow on his master. That was his first blow. That he has landed a significant hit on his master, he then lets him know that the reason he hasn’t been able to land a blow since is because of him. But not one with himself and his weapon. Looking confused, he tries to ask what he meant by that, but as he was about to ask Jesse, he cuts him off and tells him they are going for a meeting for the weekend and there are a lot of important people who would want to meet him. Aiden looks excited but Jesse tells him there will be obstacles in the way. It’s a way to test how good apprentices of various masters are, so at a point in the journey they would part ways and Aiden would find his way to the meeting with the hope e would get there in one piece that word got him scared and he swallowed his saliva. Before Aiden knew it he was already packing things for the meeting, excited that he would get to meet other people, especially those his age. He was also scared because he didn’t know the kind of obstacle course that had been prepared for him because his master had told him that everyone was counting on him to save them because he is from the future and had the blood of Sir Percival. That was enough to make him skeptical about the journey. The journey had begun and they took a horse and a donkey from the stable, a white one which was Jesse’s favorite and the donkey which carried the load while Aiden had to walk. Earlier, Jesse had explained to him the difference between normal horses and their own horses. Their horses were faster and smaller because they could evade attacks and go through small spaces easily, and Jesse had promised Aiden that on their way to the meeting Aiden would be taken to the place where his horse would choose him. He had to have the same spiritual frequency as the owner before they could be ridden, so all that made Aiden excited at least. After travelling for two days, Aiden was exhausted because he had been walking and they hadn’t rested at all. He looked at Jesse, who was wearing a hat which was blocking the hot sun. Hot and tired, Aiden asked his master if they weren’t close to the place, yet he told him to look ahead. Raising his head, Aiden saw a small hut, a smile beamed up his face as he could see hope which made him hurry to the place, because he needed a place to put his back down. Jesse didn’t allow him to even sleep, which was annoying. On getting to the hut, Aiden saw a small man sitting in the front of the hut. The man looked up and gave him a big smile. Jesse got down from his horse and went to give him a very warm embrace. The short man looked at Aiden and then at Jesse and asked if he was the one and Jesse told him yes. He up to Aiden with a smile on his face hold him, touches him all over his body, Aiden looked at him confused and as he was trying to figure out why he was touching him all over before he could even thing of a reason the man throws a punch at Aiden and it hits face, Aiden is confused why the man comes at him again and give him an overhead kick as Aiden tries to regain himself he comes at him jumping high using his knee to hit him on his nose, lands and uses his feet to spring himself up and kicks him twice. Aiden, already bleeding from his nose, is angry that his master sits down and pours himself some ale. With that anger, he tries to attack the man, but he evades everything the same way his master evades attack, then in a split second he remembers what his master tells him and slows down. He closes his eyes, breathes and changes his stance, the old man looks at him, smiles and goes for an attack. He tries a double kick but Aiden evades it gracefully. He then tries a triple back flip kick but Aiden still evades all of them, as he was about to give him an uppercut, with his eyes still closed, brings the hand, twists it, flings the man while still holding him, brings him back and uses his knee to hit him on his stomach. The man stands up, claps and tells Jesse that he is becoming rusty because no action is happening. Jesse comes towards Aiden, taps him on the shoulder and introduces the old man to him as Flea, the keeper of the horses. Aiden quickly bows his head to him and the man walks up to him, raises him up and tells him to go inside to put his things, have his bath and come out. His horse was waiting for him. Aiden is shocked and takes the things inside about what type of horse he has chosen.
