Chapter 16

It has been two months since I left my aunt's house. I ended up moving to Detroit, Michigan and getting a Secretary position at a law firm. I moved into a studio apartment and things have been great but I feel empty. Shasha suggested I find a pack or a covin near here or even to find the twins. I'm not sure what I want to do but I do know that I have to do something. My birthday is a few weeks away and since I had already found my mate my monthly heats will start soon after. I'm so not ready for that. 

'Why do you make everything so hard?' 

'Shasha not this again.'

'Seriously Lilly you can't just pretend we don't have a past. I sensed our mate in the tree. Who is to say the bond between Kevin, Jay and us is completely broken or we have a second chance mate. Is it fair to just sit here and allow our chance of happiness to slip by?'

'And what if Talia comes and rips that happiness away?'

'Your allowing her to win if you keep up like this.' 

I sat there in my apartment thinking about what shasha said. I know she is right but I'm so scared. I'm the alphas daughter. I'm suppose to be strong but I'm no longer strong. Talia took everything from me. 

'We could take it all back. We could train not only physically and in wolf form but also use are powers'

'Shasha have I ever told you how amazing you are.'

She chuckled. 

I know the shadow pack is about an hour away from here. Maybe they will let me join and the alpha can help me find a covin. 

No one will ever harm me again. No one. Every wolf can access the data base online for packs and who runs what. So I get alpha Kanes number and dial it. 

"Shadow pack" a young girl says. 

"My name is Lilly and I would like to request a meeting with your alpha."

"Ok but why?"

"It's personal. Your pack is not in danger."

"Ha like I haven't heard that one before."

"Can I talk to the alpha, beta or gamma please."

"Ya sure. Dad phone." She screamed. 

That's weird, normally children don't answer the phone. My father would have spanked me if I did that. 

"Stephanie how many times do I have to tell you not to answer the phones. Go to your room young lady I will deal with you later. Hello." A deep voice comes in the line. 

"Hello my name is Lilly and I'd like to arrange a meeting with the alpha."

"Why?"

"It's personal."

"Either tell me why you need to meet me or I'm hanging up. You have five second starting now."

"Short version. I am Alpha Franks daughter of the Crescent moon pack. I was taken by a dark witch named Talia and she not only killed my mother but also caused me alot of pain. Once I was freed I learned alot about my family and how I was manipulated mentally by Talia. So I left. I have been in Detroit for two months and I need to deal with my past issues but I must learn how to fight in both forms and I also need to contact the local white covin. I need help and will you help me."

"Lilly how old are you?"

"I will turn nineteen in thirty days."

"If I allow you in my pack how do I know that you won't bring your troubles here?"

"Because the blood moon eclipse won't happen for several more years. Talia needs it then. My mother was the white witch covin leader at one point but stepped down to have a family. I not only have power of my own but hers as well. I must learn how to fight and how to use my powers. I cant do this alone and I refuse to seek help from my family. They lied to me and threw those lies it cost my mother her life and my mate bond." 

"Do not make me regret this. I will also contact Ashley of the white covin and ask for her to come to the pack."

"Thank you. You're a little over an hour away from me. I'll see you this evening."

"Yes" 

We hung up and I started to pack. I called my boss and told him I would not be returning and left my key in the rent check with my final notice. Yes I paid the rent but it's not their fault I'm up and leaving. I got into my dodge charger and headed for the shadow pack. 

Three hours later I'm sitting in the alphas office with the alpha, beta and two white witches. 

"Hello Lilly I'm Ashley and this is my second Rachel. Alpha Kane said you need help. What can I do for you?" The young women said. 

"I need to learn how to use my powers and to fight in both human and wolf form."

"I'm sorry you said you're both a witch and a wolf?"

"My mother Athena was the leader of her covin before having me and my father is the alpha of my pack."

She looked at me in shock. "Athena does not have a daughter. She died after her twins were born. That is common knowledge. Who are you really?"

"I just told you. Can't you guys do some type of test or something?"

Both the ladies looked at each other. "Athena was very powerful and she wasn't just a white witch she was a green witch. If you are her daughter I will be able to tell and if you are lieing I will allow the wolves to do as they please with you." I nodded. Rachel and Ashley walked up to me. Rachel cut my hand and boy did that sting and they began to chant. After several minutes they backed away. Both women sat down and looked exhausted. Ashely looked up at the alpha and said "she is Athena's daughter and a half bred. She is telling the truth. Your aunt is very powerful but you have more power than her thanks to your mother blessing you with her power. Dylan and Ryan must also train with her. There combined power will help to take Talia out."

"I'm not looking to kill her but I'm here to learn to defend myself and you know where the twins are."

"I know but you are so powerful and so is she. Your light will beckon her and she will always come. You will never live in peace if she is alive. She must be eliminated. And yes I know your brothers. I'm Dylan's wife and Rachel is Ryan's wife. It's nice to meet you and they are going to flip when they find out about you." She said laughing. "Why did you pick Michigan?"

"I felt drawn to it."

"Most likely you felt the pull of your mother's magic to find them. Athena always missed the boys. You look just like them."

"Oh really?" I smiled. 

Rachel looker at alpha kane. "If it is alright with you, alpha i would like to send Ryan and Dylan here daily to train her in the ways of the white witch and I will make a protection amulet to hide her. She will need to learn to fight and defend herself. I would also like to move the covin closer to here."

"Rachel you can not uplift your whole covin for one girl. The dangers she brings to my pack I'm not comfortable with this."

"Wait how far is the covin from here?"

"Thirty minutes" they said in unison. 

"I have a idea. What if I stayed with the covin and joined in on your training sessions three times a week. Then I can practice with one of my brothers." 

"That will work." Rachel said. 

"Ok mondays, thursdays and saturday. Five am." 

"Thank you." 

As I headed outside with Rachel and Ashley I turned to them and said "I'm scared to meet them."

Ashley smiled and got into my car drivers seat and said before closing the door "you have a week before they return. You can meet your grandmother today."
