Alpha's Regret

Chapter 3

"Goddess...can you tell me how she was punished? I plead for her to be with her mate. I may never see mine again but she should. After all, it was my idea to go along with what our fathers wanted. I put mine and her pack before our mates. Before even ourselves. Please Goddess only take the payment of our walking away from what we were meant to do, to do what our fathers wanted. " He begged.

She looked right at him. No emotion showed on her face or in her eyes. Her lips were in a solemn line as she looked at him. Then as she stood up from where she was she took in a deep breath. The wolf at her feet bumped her hand and she looked down and smiled at it. Then she looked at Kingston.

" Her fate has been dealt with. You should worry about yours. Do you not think that you will be dealt with severely?" She asked him.

" I do think you will inact the punishment I deserve." He said to her.

" I will. But I will let you know that I do know why you chose what you did. I also have taken into account what your father's plans were if you did not do what you did. Your father was mad. After he lost his true mate his mind slowly broke. I had hoped that by allowing him to have a child with his chosen mate it would help heal him. I was wrong and for that I am sorry." She said now looking deep into his eyes.

" Tell me what you think you deserve as a punishment. What would you think is fair for not following my plans?" She asked him crossing her arms in front of her. Her arms were not woven tight against her body. Giving off more of a relaxed stance.

" I know that by walking away from my mate and not claiming him I will spend rest of my souls life without him. That I only deserve nothing. As it was what I gave the most treasured prize." He told her chocking up a bit when he thought of his lost mate.

" I agree with what you have suggested. But I also failed. So I will ask this of you. If given a chance to make right what I messed up would you? If you do this I can promise you a better future. Also you will be working alongside someone I have already choosen. But you will have to do what I say. Act in the way I wish it. If you fail then you will not get a chance to make things right." She said looking and sounding very serious.

" Goddess, If I can do right by you then I woudl love that chance. My only regret still is that I can never do right by my Micheal. " He laid out his soul.

" Do you accept then in helping me? It will require you going back in time and also taking on a new look." She explained.

" I accept." He said looking right into her eyes.

Right after he said that he noticed the wolf that was beside her began to shift. Once it was in the shape of a man Kingston found himself shocked so bad he fell on his ass. It say he was suprisd and nervous did not even cover that.
