Alpha's Regret

Two huge men came walking towards where Kingston was sitting. Both men were over Kingston's six-three. These new men were more built than Kingston. Kingston was by no means a small man. But his body was more of someone who just went to the gym and kept it in shape. These men were built more like tanks. With the body of a bodybuilder type. Muscles on muscles.

The older one, Alpha King Steele was a blond-haired man with a few stripes of white added to his hair. his face had a full beard. His eyes were like his name a light blue that looked silver. A meaning hard silver that was taken in Kingston's form.

Next to him was his son and heir Alpha Prince Jason. With hair as blonde as his dad's but without the silver and much fuller. It fell in waves around his shoulders. His eyes were a bit more blue than his father's. But they were still laced with coldness.

Kingston found his way onto his feet and then bowed and showed his neck as if it were a form of respect for an Alpha. Doing both for the Alpha's King let them know Kingston knew his place. Here in the Royal pack, he was just another wolf.

" What pack are you from Pup? " Alpha King Steele asked.

Kingston knew ahead of time that he could not claim to be part of the pack he had been Alpha of. Cause at this time that pack did not exist. He also knew that in this period there were a lot of wolves who had raised their young away from packs in the new world.

" I am not a part of any pack, Alpha King," Kingston said making sure to not meet the eyes of the other male.

" I was raised in the outskirts of New York. I came this way 'cause I wanted to seek out a pack for me and my mate," he explained.

" You have a mate?" Asked the prince.

" Yes, my fated," He said.

A look went across the prince's face at those words. Kingston could relate to the prince more than anyone. He had a fated mate and was forced to not accept him. To take a female to make their packs stronger. But in reality, it made them weaker. The only difference is that the prince was forced to marry a human female.

" It sounds like you have been blessed then." The King said.

" It is rare for any of us to find our fated mates nowadays. I also was lucky when I met my luna and she was my fated. Hold on to your mate." he said.

While the words were what one would assume someone to say. This made no sense if he thought this was why he did not allow his son to be with his mate. It was then that a thought occurred to him. He recalled someone saying that the Alpha king adapted human ways. Just like Kingston's dad.

" Thank you for that advice, Alpha," Kingston said.

" Well let's see where you fit in and get you settled. Is your mate with you? She may like to meet my daughter-in-law., " The older man said.

" No sir, My mate was gonna stay with friends for a bit." He said not really lying to them.

" Father, I need to see to Sara," Prince Jason said.

" Go on Son." He said.

Then the King made a motion for Kingston to follow him. He looked over to the backside of the prince as he left the room. He sort of wished he had a history book right now. There were a few things that he was picking up on that he did not recall. As he followed behind the king he began to plan how to approach the prince.
